Chapter 5: Lost Memories.
(At the water tower)
"I thought she wouldn't be searching for you. You said-" Wakko was beginning to speak, but Carrie cuts him off, fretting over the whole confrontation. "I know, but I didn't think she would have THOSE types of guts! Look, I know you're concerned about me, but I can handle my situation without help!" She leans against the wall of the water tower and just slides down into a sitting position, burying her face into her knees. Her shirt sleeves rolled up slightly, showing off some of the bruising she endured. Dot immediately noticed and approached her slowly. "With those marks? I think it's safe to say you need a hand." She then held out her hand in hope. "Come on. For us?"
Carrie took her hand and got back up. "Thanks, Dot.. But.. Look, I need some time alone.." She then exits the water tower and goes off on her own. The three siblings all look at each other and then got into a huddle. They were planning to get something done.
(Meanwhile)
Carrie strays too far from the studios and ends up lost and alone, and she begins to have an anxiety attack, until a spiritual wisp lit up in front of her. She wiped her tears away and followed the wisp into the forest of lost memories and Carrie looked around. "Is this what I think it is? I just wish father was here.. He said.." Then a male voice was heard behind her. "Your father would say it is way past your bedtime. Playing with nature again, I see?" It was her late father, Daniel. Carrie immediately felt happy again. "Father! It's you.. Your voice, I.. Followed your footprints here to Burbank."
"You did. I can't tell you how more proud I am of you for being brave and standing up for yourself." His ghostly figure held her with a spiritual presence. "What was the project? What am I to do with it?" Carrie asked and her father immediately knew what she was talking about. "The project was a stint I called Project Pals. You and the Warner siblings were meant to be hand in hand in that tape that you found. If I had all the answers, your mother and I would have done a lot more things differently.. I could have only trusted for you to finish the journey I began.. When you were ready."
Carrie just got confused and felt more lost. "Then.. What comes next? I don't know why I would be left alone like this. How will I know..? It just feels all to surreal to even handle. I can't handle stuff like this, I'm just a kid." She then got more upset and began to lash out. "Mom is still out there! She'll find me and continue to hurt me! Is this what you wanted?! For me to make the same mistakes?" Daniel sat her down on the rocks and knelt to her level. "Carrie, you know that's not true. In the tape I left you, I said how much I wanted you to know what kind of fun this is truly meant to be. Do you think what I said to you in that tape was a lie?"
Carrie sighs and shakes her head. "No.. I'm sure you meant it." And the two share another warm embrace spiritually. "I'm just scared of what will happen, but.. You're gone now. And I have to deal with what you left behind.." Then his ghostly presence disappeared for the night, and Carrie begins to retrace her steps and find her way back home, and then she finally returns back to the water tower.
She climbs back up to the top and she opens up the door slowly and is immediately greeted by a surprise party. Yakko pulled on a string, and a banner rolls down, saying "Welcome Home Carrie!" And Wakko and Dot fire some confetti cannons. "Surprise!!" The three of them spoke in unison and Carrie stood there in surprise.
"We know that you looked sad, and we wanted to cheer you up with a party." Yakko brought Carrie over to the table and they began to do some funny things to cheer her up. Carrie finally breaks at their silliness and laughs. The four all share a hug and they began to do some fun activities all night long
