Chapter 1: Cinderella Syndrome
(February 14; Denver, Colorado.)
"Carrie, clean up the attic! And don't slack around!" Her mother yelled from downstairs. Carrie sighs and climbs up the stairs to the attic of their home in Denver, Colorado. She began dusting, sweeping up the floors, and then looked at a box that said "Memories." She opened it up and saw a VHS tape that was on top. She popped it into the CRT television with the VHS player attached to it, and it began to play a message from her father.
"To whoever sees this, I just wanted to show you my progress on three zany siblings here at the Warner Brothers Studios. And I hope that I can share the magic with my little baby girl one day. Happy birthday Carrie." Her father, Daniel, spoke up from the screen and held up a little picture of the young one and he began to go to the water tower.
Some time passes, and Carrie had gotten sidetracked, mesmerized by the TV, not noticing her mother coming up the stairs and storming over to the tv. "There is one final project that I've been meaning to get to, but I never knew it would be done.. I call it Project-" her father began before her mother pressed eject on the VHS player. "Carrie Serafima Nelson!! I thought I told you not to slack around!!" She yelled at her before taking the tape away, and hitting her across the head. "Now get back to work you little brat! After that, you've got the basement too!" She sets the tape back in the box and went back downstairs, leaving Carrie to finish up her work.
(8:00 pm)
Carrie sat in her room and softly cried into her pillow. She didn't know what she did to deserve any of the treatment that she had gotten over the past 5 years, but she had about enough of the torture she was enduring. Her tears dried, and she stood up, hands clenched into fists and her expression went from sad to angry. "That's it.. No more will I suffer under this roof." She muttered and wrote a letter telling of her great escape. Then in a swift motion, she packed some clothes, the new shampoo and conditioner bottles that were purchased from the store, some money that she had tooken to pay for the air fare, and her toothpaste and toothbrush. She sticks her run away letter on her bedroom door with some tape and escaped through the window, wearing her fluffy coat, scarf, hat and gloves, carrying her suitcase.
"Carrie, dinners ready!" Amelia called for her, coming up from upstairs with a tray of food. Confused as to why she didn't answer, She called her name again. "Carrie?" She then looked to her bedroom door and saw the note. When she sees what it read, she dropped the tray in shock and horror, tears coming from her eyes. "Oh Carrie!!"
"Momma,
I have had enough of your sick and twisted behavior. I have been subjected to your torture, heavy drinking, and lies for far too long. I don't know what I have done to deserve my fate, and I don't want to know how.. I'm running away to Burbank. Don't come looking for me, don't even tell Grandma and Grandpa... Until you learn how to be a real mother, I won't come back. Maybe I will once you learn your lesson.. Till then, you don't deserve a loving daughter.
Carrie~"
(The next morning)
Carrie had gotten off the plane in Burbank at 2:00 am and was running away from the airport, until she couldn't no more. After a couple of hours of running, she then heard her stomach growl a little bit. "Food... Water.. So tired.." Then she passes out several hundreds of feet away from the studios, tired and exhausted. As she is asleep, three voices overlapped one another as they had approached her.
"Woah, what happened? She looks parched."
"The poor thing looks hurt. Should we call for help?"
"Yes, but let's help her on our own. This kid just can't be left here alone in the cold. She'll freeze to death."
The three voices help Carrie up and one of them carried her on their back and they walked back to the studios, ready to help their new special friend. Carrie groaned softly on the way there. Morning passes by and Carrie opens up her eyes and looked around to see the three figures preparing a warm meal, seeing as she hadn't eaten for a few hours. Then she panicked and fell off the couch, hiding under the blanket as the three toons showed themselves to the frightened girl.
The Warner Siblings.. In the glory they're meant to be..
