"Are you sure you're ready for this, Rowan?" The girl asked her friend warily. The black haired girl adjusted her glasses and gave her friend a reassuring smile. "Yes, Evelyn. I may have had a bad first impression, but I've researched everything about the Cursed Vaults that I could find in the school! I feel better about this than last time."

Evelyn nodded and turned to her third companion. "What about you, Bill?" He gave them a thumbs up. She nodded. "Alright. Let's go."

"Revelio!"

The wall turned into a staircase and the three students walked up. Inside was a vault covered in ice. They all shivered. "It's colder than last time!" Rowan complained. "Let's be quick then." Evelyn murmured, picking up her pace.

Soon they reached an ice covered door. "Are you all ready?" Evelyn asked them. The two nodded and they all said in unison. "Incendio!" And did an upside down V motion with their hands.

Fire spewed out onto the door. I've shot at Rowan but she narrowly dodged it. "Whoa!"
"Careful, Rowan!"

Another bolt of ice fired at Bill and he dodged as well. They cast Incendio over and over until finally the large snowflake on the door melted. The door opened.

"Oh, I forgot to mention something..." Rowan shivered. Bill's head swiveled over to her in surprise. "What?!"
"I read something about how the door might be keeping something in instead of out!"

Just then, an ice knight emerged, towering over to the students. Before they could react, the knight swung its sword. Evelyn ducked but Rowan and Bill weren't fast enough. They were stuck in pillars of ice.

"Rowan! Bill!"

"D-Don't worry about us! B-Beat the ice d-dude!" Rowan chattered.

Evelyn raised her wand. "Incendio!" She yelled and when the knight blocked the charm, his shield melted. She grinned. "Incendio!" This time the knight swiped his sword and the ice canceled out the fire. She frowned. "Well... shoot."

The ice knight swung his sword once more. "Protego!" Evelyn shouted. "M-Might want to h-hurry here..." Bill shuddered. "Working on it!" Evelyn grunted, whipping her wand around. "Flipendo!" She sent the ice knight flying and before it could recover, she moved her wand in an upside down V formation. "Incendio!" And with that, the knight melted.

Evelyn sighed in relief and immediately freed her friends from the ice with Incendio. "L-Lets get up the staircase a-and get out as s-soon as possi-ssible!" Rowan rubbed her shoulders. Evelyn nodded and the three went into the vault. There was a large pillar that was covered in yellow stained glass.

Evelyn went up and touched the glass and it lowered, revealing a book and a broken wand. "Hmm... That seems useless." Bill commented. "Wait, that's my brother's wand!" Bill frowned. "The one that went mad after finding the vault?"

Evelyn reached up to grab it. "I don't think he went mad, I-" her eyes suddenly widened. "Evelyn?!"

"Did you hear that?!" Evelyn gasped. "Hear what? Did you have another vision?" Rowan asked. Evelyn shook her head and took a step back. "Well, not really. I heard my brother. He said to find the other vaults and find his room. What room?" She looked at Bill and Rowan for answers but they just shrugged cluelessly.

"Well, let's get out of here and discuss it in the common room." Rowan suggested, grabbing the book. Evelyn and Bill agreed and left the chamber.
