Farkle walks inside, grabbing his jacket from off the wall and jotting down a quick note to his mother. He smiles a little, then sprints upstairs to pack up a quick bag. All his t-shirts go in, along with a couple pairs of shorts, some pants, and sweatpants. Another sweatshirt, then Farkle runs downstairs, snatching an apple from the counter. He shuts the door quietly behind him and jogs outside, towards Riley. She's grinning from ear to ear, and he winks at her. 

They head to her house so she can grab some clothes, and twenty minutes later they're on the road. She can't stop smiling, and it's one of the most adorable things Farkle's ever seen.

The windows are open, and the radio is as loud as the both of them can stand. Riley's head is out the window, and she's shouting the lyrics along as they drive down the long road. Trees zip past, and Riley ducks back into the car, giggling ecstatically. 

"This is so fun. But, uh, Farkle, how long before we stop?" She asks, one eyebrow crooked up in a questioning glance. 

"We can stop in about a half hour, why?" He replies, turning to her.

"I need to pee!" She announces, then claps a hand over her mouth. "Sorry, that was loud." Farkle smirks. 

"Alright, I guess we can stop sooner. I was wanting some food right about now anyway." He pulls off at the next exit, heading towards a gas station in the distance. It's only a few minutes before they're there, then he drives up to fill up the tank. Riley bolts towards the glass doors of the entrance and slips inside. 

Farkle laughs, then turns back to the car, inserting the nozzle into the side of the car and waiting patiently until the machine beeps. He pulls it out, feeds the cash into the slot, and parks the car in a spot. He walks inside calmly. 

"Good morning, sir. Is there anything I can help you with?" A perky blonde asks him from behind the counter. He shakes his head nonchalantly and continues towards the snack aisle. Riley's out a few minutes later, and he has picked his favorite foods. The blonde is giving Riley a look of deep disdain, while somehow simultaneously staring longingly at Farkle.

"Is that all?" She asks when Farkle sets down the snacks onto the scanning table. He nods, but then Riley interrupts, sprinting back to the candy aisle and then setting a package of Skittles up on the counter beside Farkle's snacks. 

"That's it." Riley answers breathlessly, smiling faintly. The blonde, who's nametag reads Isly, scans the items lightning-fast and throws them into a cheap plastic bag, taking Farkle's money. She gives them their change, winks at Farkle, and then they're gone.

Back in the car, Riley takes a deep breath. "So, I know we never talked about this, but you know, where exactly are we going?" She inquires, her face suddenly deathly serious. 

"I don't know, I didn't have anything in mind. But, I've made up enough money over the years that we can probably live off of for a while. We can just travel the country. I've always wanted to go to Montana, actually."

"Farkle. Are you insane? We live in Connecticut, we cannot go to Montana!" She's incredulous at this point, looking at Farkle as though he's lost his mind. Which, in her opinion, he has. 

"No. I'm not insane, I'm a genius. And, we can make it. It would only be like a three day drive anyway." He smiles assuringly, and she calms down only slightly.

"Fine," She pouts a little, and Farkle rolls his eyes.

"You realize there's a lot of country in between here and Montana, right?" Farkle mentions, and her eyes light up. "We can visit a lot of places if we wanted to." He offers, and she looks genuinely shocked for a moment.

"That sounds fun. Farkle, I'm glad we're doing this. It'll be fun." She turns to look at him, and his lips are curved into the smallest of grins. His freckles that barely show seem to make his face shine with a childish glow.

"Me too, Riles." Then she turns over and falls asleep, thoughts gracing her mind slowly.

GUYS I'M SO SORRY I KNOW I SAID I WOULD UPDATE LAST NIGHT AND I HAD IT WRITTEN AND DONE BUT I DIDN'T POST IT AND I'M SORRRRYYYY!

Okay, I'm gonna go work on another chapter
