Just a short summary of what happened in Bite Me for those who may have not read it but still wanted to read a 'Christmas story'. While this will not take the place of actually reading Bite Me I hope new readers will feel like they can still enjoy the short story with knowing a little background first :)

A year ago Avery Nanuk was nothing more than a Nurse at the local Shifter School in the northern reaches of Canada who lived alone out in a solitude cabin in the woods. His only friend a young Lynx who was an English teacher at his school by the name of Evie Summers and her large but quiet husband Scott Summers.

Avery was the only bear shifter in his town. But not only was he a bear he was a polar bear, the largest land carnivore in the world. Standing at 6'4" with snow white hair and tan skin Avery makes a rather intimidating figure making his presence a bit overbearing for most people even though he is quite kind and sweet to everyone.

After growing up without a family and being raised by a pack of local wolves Avery had learned to keep to himself and to expect little especially when it came to love.

That is until Rick Kodiak, a large and possessive grizzly bear, came into town and showed Avery that there was love out there him and that Rick was more than willing to give it to him. After much trials and tribulations coming to a climax when Avery was seriously injured becoming dependent on Rick's help and care.

Christmas quickly came and Avery met Rick's family of grizzlies and bonded with both the loving and carefree bears as well as with Rick himself. In the end the two finally came together and decided to start their life together.

This short story takes place a year later with Avery and Rick living together in a cozy little cabin out in the woods preparing for their first Christmas together as mates.

With the in-laws coming, happy surprises, a touch of mistletoe Avery and Rick are in for a Very Merry Christmas.
