Chapter 8

Kyliee

After spending time reading in the basement, I found myself in Slendy's office and sitting ay the recieving end of his lectures. I kept my hands on the seat between my legs and my legs wrapped around the front legs of the chair as I stared towards the ground and I felt guilty about it now.

I found pretty scary when Slendy got mad now, even though I'm pretty sure he can show to be worse than he already seems. "Do you understand? You're not supposed to be allowed down there!" He said and I twinged back a bit and I rubbed my arm a bit.

"Y-Yes sir. . ." I said and he sighed to calm himself before sitting in his chair again.

"Who told you about that room? I know you wouldn't have known if someone had kept their mouths shut." He said I glanced away.

"A-Anna did. . ." I said, rubbing my arm while gripping it somewhat tightly.

"Anna?" He asked and sighed in exhaustion. "You go back to your room and rest before anyone else wakes up. I'll have a talk with Anna." He said and I nodded a bit before leaving. I then walked down the hall and when I got to the living room, I saw Offenderman asleep on the couch with a rose in his mouthe and I froze for a second, before tiptoeing away and quickly and I got to my room quickly and saw my bed was covered in flower petals.

I blinked a couple of times and saw my mom was still asleep so I decided to crawl into bed with her and I snuggled next to her as she seemed to wake up enough to notice me climb in bed with her and I had my wings folded down and she had her arms wrapped around me as I then fell asleep with her and she had the covers come over me as well.

After I woke up again, I saw Mom had already woke up and was out of the room. I smiled and burrowed my face into the pillow as I felt the bed bend like something was walking on it before I felt a tongue lick the side of my face and I opened an eye to see Scorpio was trying to wake me up. I groaned a bit and stretched my arms under rhe pillows while facing my head away from Scorpio.

"No, Scorp. I wanna sleep. . ." I said and she gave a growling mumble like she was saying 'I don't care, you have to wake up'. She then put her body on mine and I groaned before shutting my eyes.

"Okay, okay! I'll wake up! Just get off before you suffocate me!" She then got off and walked over me before getting off of the bed and grabbing my sandals before walking back over to me with them. I sat up tiredly and had my legs overthe side of the bed. I was prwtty sure my hair ended up a mess, so I got off of my mom's bed and began heading to the desk in the room and I grabbed my hiar brush before I began brushing my hair to get rid of the tangles.

When I finished, I had my bangs off of my other eye, but I decided to put my hair back over it. Scorpio huffed in protest of me covering it up and I looked over at her for a moment. "Don't judge me, Scorpio. It just feels more comfortable this way." I then frabbed my cloak, putting it on and began walking to the door of the room with Scorpio and when we walked into the hall, next thing I knew is that Scorpio got tackled by another dog and I looked to notice it was Smile. He seemed to not stop wagging his tail and licking the side of Scorpio's face. She looked absolutely miserable though.

I giggled a bit at Scorpio. "Smile!"Jeff yelled and I looked at him as he then got Smile off of Scorpio enough to let her get up.

"You alright, Scorpio?" I asked and she looked at me with a nod. I smiled a bit and Smile ended up having to have most of his body on Scorpio's back and Scorpio glared a bit before sitting, making him slide off her back and onto his side before she began walking away. Smile gave a small whiimper and I rubbed his head a bit. "Someday, buddy." I said, before following Scorpio.

We got downstairs and then after a little while, breakfast was ready, so we went ahead and ate. Savannah and Masky weren't here apparently though and out in the woods. I was admittedly a bit worried about them though. I didn't know why since because they've both been doing this sort of job longer than I have, so I was pretty sure that they'd be fine. . . Hopefully.

Savannah

I got to the lake and saw Masky had his mask off, so I was genuinely curious on what he looked like. I smiled a bit before walking over. I managed to sneak behind him and I smiled before tackling him into a hug. "Hi, Masky!" I exclaimed as he became startled and froze, which I found kinda funny.

"Savannah?! What the hell is with scaring me like that? I thought yhat was Anna's job." He asked simply and I moved to sit next to him.

"Yeah, well, I have to have my fun on occassion as well." I said with a smile before I boticed him pick up a cigarette from the ground with a lighter.

"And my cigarette's been ruined." I smiled nervously.

"Sorry about that." I said while grabbing his cigarette box and looking at it for a moment. "I remember some middle school kids would smoke this." I said, putting the box back where I grabbed it from.

He looked at me. "What about you?"

"I didn't want to, despite the jerks at school who were trying to get me to." I said, lying on the ground. "They even tried to get me into drinking alcohol."

"Alcohol seems like they were trying to stretch it." I sighed as I stared at the sky.

"Well, most of the kids at the school I went to were jerks and rebels." I said simply as Masky smiled a bit.

"Did you give to em eventually?"

"You don't see me doing that sort of thing now, do you?" I said and he smiled a bit, grabbing another cigarette.

"I guess not. You don't mind it, do you?"

"Well, I don't prefer it, but if it's what you want, then I can't really say much, especially being outside. So go ahead." I said and he smiled a bit as he lit the cigarette. I smiled a bit as I stared at the sky.

"I think Anna might actually be enjoying Kyliee's company, since she either feels like she doesn't or enjoy's it too much." Masky said and I smiled a bit.

"Yeah, but with Kyliee, she nearly would've broke the poor girl's mind, which LJ gets mad over."

"Could you blame him?" He asked and I sighed.

"Honestly, no. I just don't want to deal with LJ when he's pissed off. We're probably lucky that Anna knows as many loopholes as she does for occassions like that." I said and Masky raised a brow.

"Yeah, even though I'm pretty sure Anna told her about where the secret file room was." Masky said and I groaned a bit in exasperation.

"Seriously? This is probably going to be troubling for me then. . ." I sighed covering my face with my hands. Masky smiled a bit.

"You, not so much. Anna, however, is probably another story. . . I don't know why she insists in causing trouble all of the time."

"It's just how she is."

"And you allow her to be that way?" I smiled a bit.

"I figured a pacifist like me would need to have a way of defense if it came to it." Masky looked at me with a slightly confused look.

"You're a pacifist and yet your here?" He asked and I sat up.

"Only cause I made Anna, actually, but yeah. Not to mention, I just feel like I should just be here so I can be close to my brother." I said and Masky nodded.

"Yeah. But do you plan to tell Kyliee what the truth of your file is though?" I stared at Masky for a moment before looking at the ground.

Kyliee

I was in my room as Mom ended up starting to clean my bed of the flower prtals that had turned out to be rose petals. "Why he keeps targetting you with the roses, I'll have no clue." Mom said and the door opened to show Splendy.

"Hey!" He called and his daughters seemed to follow as well.

"H-Hi." The one with a black dress said and the other one came over to me.

"You're a bit of a cutie, aren't you?" Liliana said and I stayed silent as Scorpio came up next to me and lied down next to me.

"She's not exactly the social type for at least the first week of meeting people. If you compliment her a million times during the time." Mom said, getting up and Liliana nodded.

"It's no problem! I see plenty of children at my circus who are like that." Liliana said and Dahlia stardd at me for a moment before Liliana spoke up.

"Thanks for understanding that much. But it also seems that your uncle probably doesn't understand that Kyliee doesn't like roses to the point she's scared of them."

"You don't?" Dahlia asked me and I shook my head saying no. I didn't know the reason for it though, but I kinda wanted to find out. . . Scorpio nudged my cheek and I smiled at her a bit as Mom finished taking the rose petals off of my bed.

I smiled and snuggled her. I then remembered something and I blinked a couple times before I decided to head out. "Mommy, don't tell Jackie, but I neex to head out for a bit." I said and she seemed confused.

"Why, swetheart?"

"I need to get Jackie's box from the attic at home." I said and she nodded.

"I can tell him you left, but he may try to be watching you, okay, sweetie?" She said I dmiled with a nod. "And take Scorpio with you, just in case." Mom said and I nodded.

"Okay!" I exclaimed and I left with Scorpio outside to head home and find Jackie's box. When I got there, I saw everything was drastically changed like someone moved in while me and mommy were gone. I began to feel angry that someone had moved in without me knowing and the fact that it was my house they moved in to. I went up to the attic anyway and when I got up there, I saw a little child younger than me about to grab Jackie's box. "Leave that alone!" I yelled and had the child pushed away from it. I picked it up myself and glared at the child.

"Mommy!" The child yelled, leaving the attic and running to find his mom. Scorpio came up into the attic and nuzzled me. I smiled a bit and began petting her a bit.

"Let's go back, okay?" I said and Scorpio nodded. I left the house with Scorpio and headed back to the woods. I smiled and we stopped at the lake as I looked at Scorpio. I had the box set in front of her and smiled. "How about we call up Jackie?" I asked with a smile. She barked in agreement. I then had the box moved to a spot away from the water, just to be safe and Scorpio smiled, sitting in front of it.

I then made sure to stay in a tree branch nearby and Scorpio began to turn the crank on the side of the box and Jackie eventually got out from the box in a puff of smoke. I grinned and got ready to jump down at Jackie. "Scorpio?" Jackie said in confusion and I then pounced down at Jackie. He seemed startled as when I came into contact with him, I was clung onto his back while shouting. 'Koala'. "Kyliee?!"

"Yup!" I said with a grin.

"Where were you?!"

"I wanted to get your box cause it was still in the attic, apparently."

"Well, that's where you left it last." He said and smiled at me. He then picked up his box while I stayed clung onto his back. I was actually good at staying clung to his back, since I used to do it all of the time. I still do, though, but not as much. I might actually try to do it more often now actually. "Let's get back home, Kyliee." He said and I nodded happily.

"Okay!"
