Choosing what to wear was always the hardest part of Taehyung's morning. Over the years he had accumulated a decent collection of clothing and hadn't grown much so there was plenty of choice. Plus there was the additional stress of making sure everything matched and was co-ordinated. After a few minutes of contemplation, he decided to go with a cream sweater and tight black jeans. The weather report suggested it was going to be cool but for the most part sunny ― it looked like it was going to be a good day.

He stopped by the café on his way to work, getting his usual coffee and a muffin because he forgot to eat at home. The blueberry muffin was still warm when he bit into it and it was delicious, making him smile. He took his time getting to the flower shop, savouring his breakfast and the morning. Spring had reached its peak with flower petals scattered across the pathways and filling bushes and trees. Birds chirped as they fluttered around, adding to the serenity of the place. People were buzzing around him like flies but it was all background noise as he focused on the plants.

By the time Taehyung made it to the shop, he was probably late for work ― if they actually had set opening times and arrival times. His boss was already there, glasses perched on his nose as he flicked through a notepad. The sight made the younger smile, as he realised there was an opportunity for teasing. His cousin usually wore contacts, hating his glasses, so whenever the glasses were present Taehyung did his best to make the most of the opportunity.

"Hey Four-Eyes." he chuckled as he walked up to the desk, earning a quick glare from the older male. "My, what big eyes you have!"

"Shut up, Taehyung; the lenses aren't that big." Seokjin muttered as he turned the page over again. He pushed the glasses up the bridge of his nose, exhaling slowly. He then glanced at his watch, and let out another sigh. "I'm going to have to go soon, to the market. We have the stall there, remember?"

"Yep. Jungkook and I'll look after the place while you're gone."

"Actually I was thinking we could close up for the day. You two ― after Jungkook gets here ― can go to that festival that's on. Check out the flowers and all that."

"Really?" The effeminate male started to get excited, clapping his hands together. When his cousin nodded, he let out a little squeal and hugged the tired male. "Thank you, Seokjin! I take back everything I said about your glasses. They're wonderful glasses, and you're a wonderful human being."

The shop door twinkled as Jungkook stepped through, pausing as he saw the scene in front of him. Taehyung turned just in time to see a small frown appearing on his brow. He smiled at the younger male, waving enthusiastically.

"Jungkook! We get to go to a festival ― do you know how exciting this is?"

"From your expression, I'm guessing it's pretty exciting..." Jungkook responded, still looking rather confused. He pulled his overcoat off and bundle it up in his arms, adjusting the sleeves of his shirt underneath.

"It is! I get to spend time with my favourite florist―" Seokjin cleared his throat, frowning at the younger. "Oh! I mean, second favourite," Taehyung corrected himself, followed by a wink to Jungkook, "and we get to check out the flowers together. Ah~, I'm looking forward to this."

"Now that Jungkook's here, I'm going to head off to the market. I'll see you guys tomorrow." Seokjin said as he put the notebook away and stood up. "Just go home when you're finished with at the festival; today probably won't be that busy."

"Thank you, Seokjin." The youngest said, making the oldest smile at him.

"No problem." Patting down his pockets, he yawned. "Alright, I'll be off. Have fun, you two."

"We will. We'll have heaps of fun."

"Do you have any plans for the weekend?" Taehyung asked as he and Jungkook walked idly down the street. A petal caught in the younger's hair, but the older quickly picked it out and let it drop back down onto the ground.

"I don't know. I was thinking of sleeping in." The brunette shrugged, chuckling awkwardly. "I don't really have any plans... What about you?"

"I volunteer on the weekends at the vets." Taehyung responded proudly, his smile growing. Jungkook looked up from the ground at him. "Hey, you should come with me. It's fun; you get to play with puppies and cats."

"A-Alright."

"Does it feel a bit chilly to you?" Taehyung asked as the light breeze picked up. He rubbed his arms in an attempt to warm them up using friction. A quick glance at the sky revealed the cause of the sudden drop in temperature ― a dark cloud was starting to pass over. He sighed as he stared at it, silently praying that it didn't rain. He didn't want something to interfere with the day they had planned. He'd been really looking forward to going to a flower festival, and having Jungkook come as his company was just an added bonus.

"I wonder if it'll rain..." The younger said quietly as he too looked up at the sky. They both stared at it nervously, thinking very similar things.

"I'm sure it'll be fine." The effeminate male quickly brushed off the possibility of rain with a shrug and chuckle. "I mean, the weather report said nothing about rain. It's probably just a dark cloud, y'know?"

It ended up raining.

The rain came out of nowhere, suddenly pouring down from the heavens and onto the two boys. When the first rush of water hit Taehyung, he shrieked in surprise. It wasn't long before the pair became decently wet and had to take cover in a nearby bus stop. They huddled close together, relying on their body heat and saturated clothes to keep them warm.

"Well, I guess we won't be going to the festival." Taehyung noted as he watched the rain fall in front of them. The younger nodded in response, sighing at the puddles accumulated on the street. They were fortunate that the angle of the downfall was making it hit the back of the bus stop, rather than falling into it and continuing to wet them. "That's a shame."

"It is." The brunette muttered. His body was starting to shiver against his will and his teeth chattered loudly, and he cursed it for that. The older male quickly noticed and wrapped his arms around him, pulling him closer. Their warmth began to increase slightly with their closeness and Jungkook's shivers dropped in intensity. They were still there, but he was beginning to think that was less caused by the cold and more by the nervousness he was feeling. He couldn't give reason to the nerves filling his body, but they definitely existed. He couldn't deny that.

"Y-You don't have to hug me." Jungkook said quickly, trying to push away from the effeminate male. Despite his size, he was surprisingly strong.

"Stop struggling. You'll get hypothermia and die if you keep shivering like that."

"I'm pretty sure it's not shivering that causes hypo―"

"You know what I mean."

The pair lapsed into silence as Jungkook stopped struggling. A few minutes passed like this, both getting briefly distracted by their own thoughts. Jungkook was barely able to concentrate on anything, too preoccupied by the way Taehyung's body was pressed against his own. The contact caused a warm flush to travel through him, helping him to forget about the cold and the rain.

"So if the weather improves tomorrow, do you want to go play with puppies with me?"

"Sure. I've got nothing better to do, I guess."

Taehyung moved away enough to smile down at the younger. "Good. I'll pick you up at seven." This made Jungkook sigh.

"I guess there goes my sleep in." The older chuckled at him.

"It'll be worth it. The animals are so cute. You don't even feel like you're working when you play with them." The lilac-haired male shuffled closer again, making the younger's head fall onto his shoulder. Jungkook didn't bother to move it, letting it rest there instead. "Do you have any pets?"

"No... I used to want one, but Grandma wouldn't allow it. She doesn't like the mess." Jungkook's shoulders rose and expanded as he breathed in and exhaled deeply. Taehyung had to adjust his position to make sure his arms weren't pushed away by this action. "Do you have any?"

"I used to have a dog but the place I lived in didn't allow pets. She now lives with my parents and she's pretty happy there." The male chuckled. "She gets excited when I visit and literally knocks me off my feet when she jumps up at him. Ah~ She's so cute. I miss her."

"I'm sorry..."

"No, it's fine. I get to visit her pretty often." Taehyung turned his gaze up to the sky, noticing the rain had eased off a bit. He watched it hopefully, waiting to see if it would stop entirely or at least enough for them to go home. It seemed like it was almost going to, before there was a sudden large gush and it started up again. He sighed, pushing himself and Jungkook further back inside the bus shelter.

"When do you think the rain will stop?" Jungkook asked, doing the same as the other.

"Don't know... Hopefully soon." The pair huddled close again, protecting each other from getting hypothermia and dying.

Somehow, and Jungkook wasn't sure how he did it, Taehyung eventually fell asleep with his head resting atop the younger's. The weight bearing down on him got heavier and that was when he realised. He groaned, trying to keep the older male held up. He probably could have just woken him up, but the rain didn't look like it was going to stop anytime, so instead he just let Taehyung sleep on him. It was probably better than conversing with the younger, who couldn't think of anything to talk about.

When the rain eventually did stop, Taehyung was woken and they headed back to their homes. They'd spent most of their day in the bus shelter, and the festival probably wasn't on anymore.
