Ever since the destruction of the Earthen environment, everyone have been living on floating islands that are propelled upwards by machines that defy gravity. As long as these floating islands stay afloat, everything will be okay for the people that are still alive after the environment's obliteration.
This community of floating islands is called Kirlanul; connected by bridges, they are able to travel from one island to the next, though it takes several hours to cross each bridge. They also have planes and hot air balloons, which are the more practical ways of travelling.
Over the past few years, though, nearby floating islands have started to fall. One by one, entire villages have disappeared, and nobody knows why. Communications with these islands have been severed, and the people that once lived on them have completely disappeared. Most think that these islands fell to the earth, and that with the force of the collision, all of the people on the islands died. What they don't know, though, is that some people survived...and that Earth is now inhabitable.

You live in one of the villages that is connected to the center city of the entire floating island community. You hear cries and shrieks and wonder what is happening. When you approach the place where you heard the commotion, you suddenly realize what is happening – the floating island is collapsing, piece by piece. You watch in horror as several people are carried down to the grounds of Earth, past the clouds. You are high up in the sky, so there is no doubt that these people will die almost instantly when they hit the ground. The only chance for you at this point is to grab a parachute from the emergency supplies of the village. You can already see that people have gotten the same idea, since most are starting to gather around the supplies in the center of the village, their hands fumbling as they try to grab the last of the parachutes. You fortunately get one, but someone starts to tug on it, trying to steal it away from you for themselves.
What do you do? What will happen to you when the entire floating island collapses around you?
