She let me go, and then walked over and sat down casually in a booth and started fiddling with a walkie talkie.

Daryl and dad were taken aback by what had just happened. Glenn stared at Kelsey, and I shrugged as dad glanced at me.

"Ed! Dave! Do you read me?" She asked. All that came was growls and groans. "Mom... Dad... It's Kelsey, over."

Static, and occasionally a moan or groan.

Either somebody dropped their walkie talkie, or somebody had died. The signal was weak of course, just like always.

"Safe... Weapons... Love... You..." Came through it. It was a woman's voice.

"Mom!" Kelsey said. "I love you too..."

I don't know how much went through of what either one had said, but Kelsey began crying.

"Hey," I walked over. "It's alright... If they're anything like you, I'm sure they're fine."

She elbowed me in the stomach, and I doubled over. Then she said, "that's. Not. A. Joke."

"Okay..." I wheeze out.

She got a proud look. "You guys are in my safe house. So maybe you should listen to me, or get out."

"Not gonna happen," Daryl said, walking over. "There are plenty more of us. You can't kill all of us at once."

"But I can kill the greasy redneck," she shot back.

"Don't mess with the greasy redneck," Dad suggested. "It's for your better."

Daryl shot him a 'shut up' look.

"Listen, Kelsey," I say. "Are you sure your group is ok?"

She gulped, and tears stung her eyes. "I'm sure of it." She lied. I could see it in her eyes.

"Carl, get back in here." Dad motioned for me.

"No," I reply. I give him a look like, I'll get something out of her.

Dad nodded as if he understood. I slid into the booth across from Kelsey.

"So..." I extended my hand to her. "I'm Carl."

"I'm still callin' you ice eyes," she said, taking my hand and giving it a firm shake.

"At least my heart isn't stone," I grumbled. "Like somebody I met once..."

She narrowed her sea green eyes.

"My heart may be stone for now. Let's see if you can break through the walls... Ice eyes." She smirked. Now it was my turn to narrow my eyes.

This wasn't getting anywhere... "Well, I need some sleep."

"So do I..." She agreed.

"C'mon. I think we have an extra pallet. You can stay with us... For now..." I say.

I walk in, and offer her a space next to mine, where she puts down blankets from her backpack, and lays down. I turn my back to her, and look at the wall. The moonlight shown through the Rec room door, which was to my back. It cast a shadow on Judith in Carols arms beside me, and I smiled as Judith smiled in her sleep.

She'll never know outside of this mess...
The thought almost brought tears to my eyes.  Are you kidding me? You've barely known outside of this mess...

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, the last thoughts echoing through my mind, as if my mind was a cave, and there was a little person talking my thoughts into it.

I woke up to sunlight streaming through the doors. I looked around to see most of the group was in the dining area of the restaurant.

PLEASE READ THIS! This is serious!

Alright, so I've just been informed of some pretty bad things...

I got it through a PM, and I was informed of a cyber bullying case. Ok guys, cyber bullying isn't cool. Believe me, I've been bullied before. If you're a cyberbully, you need to stop it! Somehow you guys are finding happiness in making somebody feel terrible! You think you know somebody? WELL YOU REALLY DON'T. If you're a cyberbully, or any kind of bully, I have no respect for you anymore.

"Suicide isn't cowardly. You wanna know what's cowardly? Treating somebody so bad they want to end their life."

@twilighttilldawn is being cyber bullied. She is going through slow recovery of depression. Guys, this stuff isn't ok. Another case @XZoeTheHuntressX tried to commit suicide. What are you gonna do when they do commit suicide? After all, it is your fault? How will you apologize then? Won't you feel guilty? If not, you're a sick, sick person.
