September 20th.
Lorenzo is 23 weeks old.

"Well good morning, handsome! Look at you!
How are you today? Did you have a nice sleep?"

Lorenzo smiles and kicks his legs as he chews on his hands.

"Mama's beautiful boy!" She says as Lorenzo babbles.

"You are Mama's beautiful boy!"

Lorenzo looks into his mother's eyes and his smile grows.

Maddie picks him until and kisses his chubby cheeks. "You're so chubby, Lorenzo!  Mommy's milk is making you a chubster!  I love it!  Look at these thighs!" She laughs, softy pinching his legs.

"You pull them off though, don't you?  Don't you, luce dei miei occhi!"

Lorenzo kicks his legs and giggles.

"Haha!  You love it when mama speaks Italian, don't you?  So does daddy!" Maddie chuckles.

"Now let's change your smelly butt, feed you, and then get ready!  Guess we're going!
We're going to the beach, Mister! Say YAAAAY!" Maddie says making Lorenzo laugh hysterically.

Maddie wore a royal blue one piece swimsuit and a tan sun hat, with a sheer cover up.
Chip and Lorenzo both wore the matching swim trunks Maddie bought them, and Lorenzo of course wore his little hat to protect him from the sun.
Maddie took dozens of pictures of her two guys.

"Okay, enough pictures, I think he's getting a little irritated." She says.

Maddie puts her camera away and Lorenzo fusses and hits his thighs.

"What's wrong, little man?" Chip asks, lifting him in the air.

"Ahhhh!"

"Oh he's mad!" Maddie chuckles. "Come here, stinker." She holds her arms out.

Chip kisses his cheek and hands him over to his mother.
Lorenzo lets out one last cry before looking at his mother with a pout.

"Why are you pouting, baby?"

He then blinks his little eyes and tears slowly roll down his cheeks.
Maddie wipes his tears and kisses his lips.

"Don't be sad.  We're at the beach!
Now let's sit you down so mama can put some sunscreen on you."

Maddie sits him on a beach towel underneath their umbrella, and Lorenzo immediately starts crying.
"Renzo, it's fine!  Mama's right here!"

She then squirts some sunscreen on her hand and rubs it over his little body.

Lorenzo looks down and cries even harder.

"What's his problem?" Chip chuckles.

"I don't know but he needs to cut it out." Maddie laughs.

She then picks him up and places him on her lap.
Lorenzo holds her arm and lays his head on her stomach.

"He just wants mommy."

Maddie chuckles and nods her head.
"He was conceived on a beach, you'd think he'd enjoy it!" She laughs.

"Haha!  That's right!  Oh shit, maybe that's why he doesn't like it!"

"Maybe!" Maddie chuckles.

"Come on, Renzo.  Let's get some sand between our toesies!  Look at Dada, Pasta and Chiquis!  They love the sand!"

Maddie lifts him and tries standing him up in the sand.  Lorenzo fusses and lifts his legs.

"Lorenzo!" She laughs.

Maddie then sits him in the sand and he makes a face.

"He doesn't like it!" Chip smiles.

"Lorenzo, it's FUN!"

Chip laughs and says, "He's like where the hell did you bring me, guys?!"

"I know!  Maybe he'll like the water.  You like bath time, don't you, Papà?"

Chip takes Maddie's hand and helps her stand.
She then places Lorenzo on her lip and walks towards the water.

Maddie kneels down and places his chubby little feet in the ocean.

"Eh!  Eh!" He makes a face.

"Okay, knock it off, Lorenzo!  Why are you being such a stinker?  You're at the beach!  Be happy!"

Lorenzo plops his bottom down and pouts.

Maddie chuckles.
"Why don't you go in the water, daddy?  Show him how fun it is."

"Okay!  Lorenzo!  Look at dada!" Chip says.

"Look how fun that is Renzo!  Look at all these babies, kids and daddy having fun!"

Lorenzo was not cracking a smile.  He was NOT enjoying the beach at all!

An hour later.

Maddie sat in the shade, nursing her baby boy.
Chip sat across from them, as he and Maddie made small talk.

"Maybe he's just not an outdoorsy kind of guy?" Chip says.

"Yeah.. or maybe he's too little."

"I don't know, my niece and nephew loved the beach at his age!"

"Really?  Well he's just having a bad day, I guess." Maddie pouts.

"He's fine as long as you're holding him!" Chip chuckles.

"Hah!  He is!  He's a mama's boy!" Maddie baby talks and kisses his head.

Lorenzo looks up to his mother as he eats.
His chubby little hand resting on her chest.

Chip watches with a smile on his face.
"You're so beautiful, Maddie."

Maddie looks up and smiles at her husband.
"Thank you, baby."

Chip blows her a kiss making her giggle.
She then looks down to Lorenzo and says, "Can you believe Lorenzo is almost six months old?"

"I can't!" Maddie pouts and pats his bottom.
"He's getting so big, Chippy!"

"I know, it's crazy!"

"I want him to stay little forever."

"Yeah.. But watching him learn, and seeing him grow will be so awesome!"

"It will be!
.. My little buddy." She looks down and smiles softly.

Lorenzo held his hand up to touch his mother's face. Maddie took his hand in hers and kissed it.

"I love you, Lorenzo.... even if you hate the beach. I still love you!" She giggles.

"Oh gosh, he's finally asleep!  Here, daddy.  Will you lay him down, please?"

"Sure, Mama."

"Carful!  He needs a good nap."

"I know.  Don't worry, I'll be very careful."

Maddie then sighs and moves her chair in the sun.
"Finally I can get some sun!"

Chip lays the baby down then turns to his wife.
The way the sun hit her perfect body was beautiful.

"Oh wow.."

"I know." Maddie smiles.

"You're so so beautiful."

"Yes." She giggles just before he kisses her lips.

"WAAAHH!  WAAAHH!"

"Oh God!" Maddie whines.

"I'll get him." Chip says.

"Give him his binky, Chip."

"I am....
Yeah, he doesn't want it."

"Lorenzo, what's wrong?"

Lorenzo looks at his mother and screams louder.

"Give him to me, honey." She holds her arms out for him.

Chip hands him over and Lorenzo rubs his little nose on Maddie's shoulder.

"He's miserable!  Maybe we should go, baby."

"Yeah.. I'll pack up."

"Thanks, love." Maddie says standing with the baby.
She hoped walking while lightly bouncing him would help calm him down.

Maddie had to sit in the backseat with Lorenzo because he would scream bloody murder when she'd go up to the front.

"He must be going through a growth spurt or something!  He's extra clingy!  Aren't you, Papi?"

Lorenzo looks at Maddie as he sucks his binky and moans softly.

"You're lucky you're cute!" She giggles and taps her finger on his nose.

"Hey Madd, you hungry?" Chip asks.

"Starving!"

"Do you want to go to The Spot?"

"No it's too crazy to go with a baby.  Just go to Millers."

"Alright."

Once they were seated, Maddie took the screaming baby out of his carrier to calm him down.

"We should have just picked food up.  He's being naughty."

"He looks uncomfortable.  Maybe take his tank off?"

"I'll try."

Maddie took Lorenzo's shirt off and sat him on the table.

"Oh look at that!  All smiles."

Maddie chuckles and nods her head before she playfully pinches his nose.

"Such a stinker!"
