Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that exams are over for me. I'm finally in holidays that is more chapters!

"Well I think the real show begins now" Kol smirked pointing his finger to the entrance of Aurora and her brother Tristan De Martel.

As soon as Aurora entered the party, she rushed to see Niklaus while her brother was having a serious conversation with Mikael about business.

"Oh my love! How I have miss you!" Aurora was going to kiss him on the lips, but he moved his head giving his cheek instead. 

Aurora noticed that weird behavior but she let it go away. She thought that he was feeling shy.

"What has happened my love? Are you not feeling well?" Aurora asked in a worried tone.

"I'm fine. No need to worry. I'm just a bit exhausted" Klaus answered looking at Caroline dancing with Damon.

A few minutes before, Caroline finished dancing with his brother, Finn. He went to ask him why he danced with Caroline but Finn didn't answer.

He did not like the way Damon was touching Caroline. Caroline seemed to be happy dancing with Damon. Klaus hated to admit it but he was jealous. He had not been given a single opportunity to dance with her or to simply have a small conversation. Klaus needed to tell her that he doesn't have feelings for Aurora anymore.

"Damon may I know what are you up to?" Caroline asked.

"Nothing in particular" he answered spinning her around.

"Brother I assume that now you're regretting the choice you made" Elijah approached Klaus.

It was now his turn to act. He was not very keen but he knew that Caroline was the perfect choice of the Mikaelson Family. Caroline was his redemption. One thing was sure, Elijah Mikaelson is never wrong. 

'But who knows?'

Klaus was going to speak when he was interrupted by Katherine

"Excuse everyone! I know very well that this party is a Spanish one but who wouldn't like to hear a wonderful song from a beautiful woman" she said.

"Brother if I remember correctly, the last time Katherine had sung a song for you, a seventy-year old man became deaf. I hope you would like to take your precautions this time for everyone' sake" Kol whispered in Elijah's ears.

Elijah nodded. He went to see Katherine who was standing on the stage. He went near and ask her not to sing.

"It's not me who is going to sing. It's C-A-R-O-L-I-N-E" she clarified.

"Ohhhhhh!!" Elijah said reassured.

He would not want Katherine to know that he didn't want to hear her sing. Because the last time, he was traumatized. It was a real disaster.

"I would like every single person here to applaud for my best friend here, Caroline Forbes" Katherine clapped her hands.

Caroline looked at her in surprise. She did not expect that she was going to sing. Everyone was cheering for her.

"Good Luck Blondie" Damon winked at her.

She could not back down when so many people was cheering for her. So, when she reached near the stage, she whispered in Katherine's ears

"Why did you do that? I have no idea what to sing"

Katherine just sent her a reassuring smile pushing her on the stage. Well she was already there, she could not go away now.

"Hola a Todos" she greeted.

"I'm just going to sing a slow song since I was not prepared" Caroline apologized.

Even she had said that, she had no idea what to sing. Then a thought struck her, she could sing a song about her and her relationship with Klaus. She knew the perfect song for that.

"You and I we're like fireworks and symphonies exploding in the sky

With you I'm alive like all the missing pieces of my heart they finally collide,

So stop time right there in the moonlight cause I don't ever wanna close my eyes.

"So was that in the plan of yours?" Stefan asked Katherine.

"Well....." she started.

"Salvatore! That was my idea mixed with Kat's all bloody plan" Rebekah made her appearance.

"Judging Caroline, she would sing a song about what she is feeling now. So...." Rebekah stated.

"It a beautiful song" Bonnie smiled hugging Kol.

Elijah was hugging Katherine. All the couples were hugging.

"Without you I'm just a sad song.

I'm just a sad song.

With you I fall, it's like I'm leaving all my pasts in silhouettes up on a wall

With you I'm a beautiful mess, it's like we're standing hand in hand with all our fears up on the edge" she continued to sing.

All the time she was singing, her eyes could not leave the ones of Klaus. She tried to break eye contact but he was here, standing right there pulling her stare on him. 'Opposites attract'

It was the eyes. The secret of love was in their eyes. The way one person looked at another, the way eyes communicated and spoke when the lips never moved.

"Little did she knew that my mistakes are slowly drowning me. Little did she knew I'm trying to make it better, piece by piece" Klaus whispered walking away.

When Klaus walked away, Caroline succeeded in breaking eye contact with him. But she saw the way, he was looking at her. He looked sad, he looked weak as if he was going to break if she touched him.

But the thing Caroline was fearing the worst came much sooner she expected it. She saw Marcel leaving the party.

"Did you see Marcel?" Caroline asked Stefan.

"Yeah! He was leaving the party when I went to get me a drink" Stefan replied.

"Thank you!"

"Is everything alrig-" Stefan couldn't even finished his sentence, Caroline already ran away.

Klaus who was looking at the scene upstairs was going after her, when he was stopped by a hand.

"What do you want, Salvatore?" Klaus asked annoyingly.

"Oh my! No need to be so angry with me Klose" Damon said in a sarcastic voice.

"I've no time for this idiocy" Klaus said while leaving but Damon grabbed his hand.

"Leaving so soon?" he smirked.

"I've been waiting for this moment quite a long time, Mikaelson. We will have a little conversation" Damon said in a serious voice.

'Damon Salvatore serious! Who would have thought'

Caroline was running. She was running as fast as her feet would carry her. She needed to see Marcel to talk to him. To clarify everything. She didn't want him hurt just because of her selfish decisions.

She saw him standing right behind a tree. He was upset.

She took small steps towards him.

"Do you love him? Klaus Mikaelson?" Marcel asked, his back facing her.

"I-I" she could not find the words.

'Did she love Klaus?' she did not know yet.

"Well, I don't need to ask. It's pretty obvious. You love him" Marcel turned to her.

"You don't know how a malice and monster he is?" Marcel tried to convince her.

Caroline took a step behind and chuckled

"I know how he is. You know, I find this sentence very appropriate for me and him"

"He saw the beauty in her light, she saw the beauty in his darkness"

"We're the same, he and I" Caroline stated.

 That was the truth. She didn't need neither to convince Marcel nor herself.

"You're nothing like him, Caroline" Marcel tried to convince her.

"You don't even know" she replied.

"Even the purest of hearts are drawn to darkness" she whispered.

"Well I don't think I can convince you anymore. But I hope you know what you're putting yourself into, Caroline" Marcel smiled.

"I'm sorry for hurting your feelings" Caroline apologized.

"I've tried but it seemed he beat me to it" Marcel laughed.

"Thank you for understanding" she smiled.

"Friends then?" Marcel gave his hand forward.

"Friends it is" she shook it.

"What did you want to talk about, Damon?" Klaus asked impatiently.

"What do you think you're trying to do?" Damon said.

"You already have that girl of yours and now you're chasing after her" Damon raised his voice.

"Stop prying in matters which do not concern you" Klaus was about to leave but he was pushed against the wall.

Damon was grabbing his collar and he smirked

"You've no chance with Caroline"

Klaus looked at him in disbelief "I would not know without trying"

"Then let me take the burden" Damon released his grip on him.

"I love Caroline" he said seriously.

"and she knows about it too" he added.

Then little by little everything started fading for Klaus. All the hopes he had been building were falling apart. Hope hurts so much.

"And besides how could she of everyone love a nothing-for-good like you" Damon spat in disgust leaving the room.

"Did you need to go that far, brother?" Stefan asked Damon.

"Oh come on brother! Don't tell me you didn't have fun" he smirked.

"It's not about fun, Damon" Stefan spoke.

"He needed to know, Stefan. If he is a man, then he wouldn't let even a single minute go before he go to the woman he loves that is if he truly love her" Damon smiled.

"Are you slowly falling in love with Caroline, Damon?" Stefan asked.

He didn't want to ask but he really needed the confirmation. Damon just smiled. He showed a genuine smile. That smile was scaring Stefan. He wanted his brother happy but he hoped that he did not love Caroline.

"I would be lying if I say I didn't love her" Damon took a sip from his drink.

"She's full of light, spirit free. Again I would be lying if I say she wasn't my type. I bet she's good in bed" Damon chuckled.

"But brother you and I know who she is going to choose. Besides I think I already find the perfect girl for me" Damon tapped Stefan's shoulders before leaving the room.

Stefan smiled. He was happy for his brother.

Klaus was feeling all sort of emotions he had never felt for anyone. He wanted to rush and see whether what Damon told him was the truth. But he could not bring himself to do it.

Damon was right after all. He was a nothing-for-good. He wondered what Caroline saw in him. He wondered whether all the people around who showed that they cared only pretended.

Because in the end, you better be alone where no one can hurts you.

"I've been looking for you everywhere" Finn interrupted Klaus in his thoughts.

"What do you want?" Klaus growled.

"Our father wish to speak with you. It's important. He wants you to be in his office as soon as possible" Finn said before leaving the room.

After a long drive, he finally reached his house. He was in no mood for any conversations not even with his father.

"Father! You wish to speak with me?" Klaus entered his father's office.

"Do not call me father, you filthy child" Mikael growled.

"Oh you would like I call you the bastard son" he said in disgust.

The line between what brings us pain and what sustains us is thinner than you'd imagine.

"Father what do you mean?" Klaus asked hurt.

"Your mother had a relationship with a man, and they made you. An abomination. I feel disgusted by the thought of having called you my son. Of having made you a Mikaelson" Mikael snarled at him.

"I don't understand" Klaus said shocked.

He didn't expect that.

"Mothers love their children, fathers made them strong but you" Mikael shouted

"You are weak. Nobody cares for you. You are alone. You are a nothing-for-good. You are a ruthless person, you like to make people suffer. You're a twisted person, my boy" he laughed.

 "I'm nothing like you. Nothing" Klaus growled.

"I may not be your son but I'm a part of this family. I may not have your blood but family doesn't depend on blood. Love is all that matters" he did not know what he was saying.

He didn't. All of this was so sudden. He did not understand what was going on.

He could not stay in this room any more longer, he just couldn't.

"You better run away like always. That's only what you're capable of, boy" Mikael laughed sarcastically.

Klaus couldn't hear any more insults. He never knew that his father who isn't really his father hated him so much. No the correct word would be, despise. He despised him.

When he closed the door behind, he saw Elijah looking at him with pity.

"Nikl-" Elijah started but Klaus cut him off.

"You knew all along?" he asked in disbelief.

Elijah could not bring himself to look him in the eyes.

"So what do you want to say to your bastard brother?" Klaus laughed darkly.

When his brother didn't say anything, he spoke

"That's what I thought" with that he left the mansion.

Elijah took out his phone and dialled a number.

"Hey!" Caroline said with her cheerful voice.

"Niklaus needs you!"
