A strong scent of Pot Roast and carrots swam through her nose as Glory entered the Dining room.
"Yum. It looks delicious." She bellowed, swiping her tongue around her lips.
The others sat on the dining table, Ashley placing the last plate of salad on the big wooden table.
Glory sat on an empty seat across Ian.
"Let's start." Ashley said, seating herself next to Zac.
A clatter of forks and spoons started as Glory helped herself with some food.
No one spoke throughout the meal. It somehow reminded Glory of the Hamiltons during lunch. All they ever spoke out of their braggy mouths was about their achievements.
Glory thought she liked this silence better than that.
When everyone ate the last spoon of beef, Ian started,"So. What do we do now?"
Zac started hitting the table with his feet. Again. "Hey. Let's get to work. Let's end it as soon as possible."
Work?
Callum cleared his throat. "So, when are we going to open up?"
Jazail looked away. Ashley pursed her lips. Ian and Zac shared a glance.
Open up about what?
Zac stood up. "I'll talk to her about it."
The other four shared a glance and then nodded.
Glory furrowed her eye brows? Were they talking about telling her something? Was it about the Hamiltons?
As if on cue, Zac took her hand. "Come with me. Let's go out."
Glory just stared at him.
"What about, um, shopping? We can get you some clothes. You don't have any, do you?"
She blinked. That was true. When the Hamiltons had kicked her out, she had left everything but her Lexus.
So she nodded.
"Cool. When shall we go?" Zac asked.
Glory shrugged.
"Right now. What do you say?"
Glory couldn't help but smile.
"Definitely."

"So, have you been to Manhattan before?"
The two sat in Zac's blue BMW, the car parked in the parking lot of the Manhattan Mall.
"Yeah. Many times. I just love the city."
Glory remembered the last time she came to New York State clearly. She was with Ethan Hamilton, and the two had gone to Aeropostale and Chelsea, and then, they had had coffee at Starbucks.
Zac opened his door and motioned to get out, but then stopped. "Which store are we going in?"
Glory pouted her lips. "What about Top Gun? That'll do great, right."
Zac nodded. "Come on."
Once inside the store, they started going through numerous clothing items. After one hour and a half, they had only chosen three outfits for Glory.
"Oh God. I never knew girls are this choosy!" Zac said.
Glory half-smirked, "Learn it."
Zac smiled.
"Um, Glo. I want to tell you something. More like, ask."
He was calling her Glo. Only Wren called her that.
She missed Wren so badly. She missed having him on her side, standing by her, being inside her.
How miserable.
"Uh. Sure." She muttered.
"Let's drive somewhere that's private. It's a top secret." He winked.
Glory couldn't help but smile. Zac was so good.
In ten minutes, they were sitting in a coffee shop in the mall, with mugs of tea in front of them.
"So. Spill it." Glory said.
Zac cleared his throat.
"We are planning for revenge. From the Hamiltons. And we need your help."
Oh God.
Glory gawked at his grey-green eyes.
Revenge.
The words haunted her.
