"Have you heard? About the mysterious cardfighter?"

"Oh my god, yes. Sakayanagi was it?"

"Yeah, they took the Queen's chess piece last week."

"Which faction do you think she works for?"

Those were the whispers Kazane always hear after the incident Rin had. She made her way to the Setsuna Royals meeting room.

Kazane click the door open going inside. Shutting the door behind her, she sat down on an empty chair. The rest of the royalty were present.

"God, everyone in the school is talking about this Sakayanagi person." Kazane started rubbing her temples. "It's gonna give me a headache one point."

"Yamato informed me they took one of our chess piece." Shiro put a right leg across her left.

"Mine as well." Mashiro stated.

"Same." Kazane rested her head on the table.

"I don't think I need to mention on what happened to mine." Rin scoffed.

"What does she look like?" Asahi asked.

"Black hoodie, a mask.. that's all I remember." Rin said.

"What about her physical features?"

"I think they stood around 5 foot 3. They wore a mask that covers their face." She said as her face turned into an angry expression "You, you're behind this aren't you?!" Rin stood up from her seat.

"Me? Why would you think that?"

"Sakayanagi hasn't took any pieces from you! Then the answer is right in front of us. They're obviously working for you."

"Don't be silly."

"I don't think we should jump into conclusions." Mashiro put his fingers on his chin.

"The fact we don't know what faction Sakayanagi belongs to.." Shiro shivered, her eyes grew worry. "They could attack anytime."

"Calm down Shiro, if they do we could just defeat them no problem." Kazane patted her shoulder.

"They're not any simple type of cardfighters. Sakayanagi wasn't that bad. It felt like as if you're fighting an elite at least. However I still stand Asahi is behind this." She sat back down with her arms folded.

"I don't even know how they looked like! It could be you. You're exaggerating about the topic. You're known to create drama, Rin." Asahi said keeping a stoic look.

"Why would I do that to myself?! That's just killing my reputation."

"You already spread the fact you lost."

"In my defense, to an unknown person! Sakayanagi could be anyone. Even in this room right now."

"Don't be so dramatic." Shiro sighed.

"I'm actually trying to figure out who the fuck is this bitch, freak. If you want your chess piece back I suggest you to cooperate."

"Excuse you, I'm just saying the fact that Sakayanagi is among us is ridiculous."

"I—"

"That's enough, both of you." Mashiro cut off. "Rin, if you really want to find Sakayanagi then you need to put aside your differences aside with Shiro. Stop fueling the fire if you don't know how to handle the heat. This goes for you too Shiro."

Rin fell into silence puffing her cheeks

"I'm sorry." Shiro scratched the back of her neck.

"I think that's enough for today, we can discuss this further tomorrow." Asahi said.

"Agreed." Kazane nodded.

And with that everyone in the royalty left the room.

"This is stupid." Hiro rolled his eyes. "We don't even know which faction Sakayanagi is! And now almost everyone is against us"

"I'm pretty sure, Sakayanagi wants everyone to be against us." Kage said while reading a book.

"WHY- WHAT DID WE EVER DO TO THEM?!"

"We won't know if we don't know who they are." Narumi said.

Kin only nodded on that, she was going through her phone.

Asahi entered the Salvation common room. Sitting down on the couch, he let out his breath.

"So, how did the meeting went?" Kage asked, not turning his attention away from his book.

"Terrible, I've been accused of Sakayanagi working with us."

"By everyone?" Narumi turned her head to Asahi.

"No, only Rin did. Who do you guys think it is?"

"I'm not really surprised."

"I can't really say.." Narumi clicked her tongue. She took a sip of her tea.

"Ace Kazane." Hiro snapped his finger.

"Why? She seems too innocent to cause this."

"That's exactly my point! It may be an act to throw us off the fact she's the cause of this mess! I hope she knows that this isn't funny."

"My guess is on Queen Rin, she's problematic. That's enough said. Watch as this problem isn't bought back into the future. She's probably doing this for attention." Kage closed his book.

"That's most of us in the surface lines. We think that Rin did it because she's the most problematic." Narumi said pushing up her glasses.

"Taking sides now, Narumi?"

"I'm not defending nor taking sides it's just what I think. I think this situation could be deeper than what we think."

There was a couple of moments of silence until Narumi's eyes widened.

"It could be Joker Mashiro.."

"Sakayanagi? Joker Mashiro?" Hiro raised a brow.

"The chance of that happening might actually be high.." Kage said.

"His nature is very calm and you wouldn't know what he'll do next." Narumi said.

"What about Jack Shiro?" Hiro asked as he turn his head to Narumi.

"She does show some tendencies."

"She could just be doing that to scare us." Kage sighed.

Asahi looked at Kin, she was on her phone a lot. Not participating in the conversation.

“Kin, what do you think? I think Sakayanagi might be on our side. She targeted all the factions but us.” Asahi said.

”You were almost right. However, Asahi, you failed to realise the truth that was staring right in front of you. That’s why I’ll have my victory.

Because you were useful to me, just for this moment, I’ll tell you. So listen closely.

I have never cared for you as a friend. I have never considered you an ally. I have never recognised you, or anyone else, as a human being.

In this school, I will get my wish granted by any means necessary. I don’t care what it takes to get there. I don’t care what I sacrifice. The methods don’t matter.

All other people are nothing but tools.

They exist to benefit me. To get what I want.

So, as long as I get every last chess piece, then it’s fine.”

“Who knows.” Kin replied.
