"K-Kazane?!" Kin's eyes widen, her elder cousin just look at her with a huge grin.

"How was the trip? Did Sousuke treated you nicely?"

"U-uhm.. the trip was pretty fine, and who's Sousuke?"

"The driver, silly Kin" Kazane patted her head.

"A-ah, he was silent."

"Haha, don't worry, that's like him. C'mon let me show you around!"

Kazane grabbed Kin's wrist dragging her inside the building.

"As you can see, our school is divided into 5 divisions. Salvation is for the strongest, Venom is for the cunning, Dystopia is for the irregular, Brilliance is for bravest and Chevalier for the perceptive. Each division is ruled by a royal, to get into a division you must go take an exam. Have you took one?"

Kin shook her head.

"Then you better go see the principal now. Follow me."

Kazane -still dragging her- walked towards the escalator, then strolled to the office. Knocking on the door she heard a muffle.

"Ay o' Headmaster~!"

"Ah, Ace Kazane, what do you need?" He asked.

"Exam for Kin Takami."

"I was expecting her this evening. Welcome Kin Takami to Setsuna Academy, I'm sure you know what to expect and school system we have?"

"Yes sir." Kin nodded her head.

"Excellent, your exam will commence now." He smiled a little, barely visible. "Ace Kazane, may you please exit the room?"

After a moment she do as what she was told.

"Take a seat, Kin."

Kin pulled out the soft red chair as she sat down on it crossing her legs.

"You will be given 3 exams, it will test your psychological thinking, intellect and social skills."

"Understood."

After the exam, the result was submitted back to the headmaster.

"When will my results will be in?"

"First thing tomorrow. In the mean time you're allowed to explore this area for a bit." He took out a silver key and gave it to her. "Your dorm room key. Make sure to not lose it."

"Will do, thank you sir." Kin stood up, tool the key, bowed and left to the wooden door.

"So how did go?!" Kazane's eyes widens with a huge smile on her face. "Did you got in Brilliance?!"

"The results are in tomorrow." Kin chuckled at her excitement.

"So, where else do you want to look at?"

"I guess I need to put my luggage first since I got my room key."

"Sounds lit, we can get dinner afterwards."

"Works for me."

(Opening)

Kin decided to return to her new dorm room, unpacking everything before dinner.

"Done." She put down her laptop on the table. Looking around the room one more time she sighed. "This'll have to do for now."

By this time she already shower and change to a new pair of shirt and jeans. Exiting the her room, she locked the door. When Kin went out of the female dorm building, she passed a couple of people. Until only one person caught her the most, she turned back to see a man who's at least 6 feet tall with jet black hair.

"Kinnn!" Kazane called out running over snapping out Kin's daydream.

"Ah, hey."

"Today's dinner is Beef/Pork/Chicken Donburi, Curry Bread and Gâteau au Chocolat."

"Gâteau what?"

"Chocolate Cake basically."

"You could've just said that.. I only know WEE WEE BAGUETTE."

"It sounds fancier! Anyway, we should get some food."

The dinning hall was designed with gold and navy ribbons wrapped in each pillar of the room. It was filled with hungry students eating their foods.

Kin placed down her tray of donburi, curry bread, tea and chocolate cake. Pulling the chair, she sat down in front of Kazane.

The red haired female was munching on the bread, the viscous curry ran down from the bitten part to the glistening white plate.

"This is so gooood!!" She squealed taking another bite.

Kin just silently ate her pork donburi, she may be silent, but was eating faster than the average person would.

"Slow down Kin, you're gonna choke." Kazane laughed.

"This is how I usually eat though."

"Fast, but neat, one thing I thought humanity can't do."

As the two continued eating, the bell rang soon after.

"Aw shit, day's over. I'm sure you know where's the dorms from here right?"

She just nodded.

"Great, I'll see you soon!"

"Thanks for today, Kazanee-chan."

"YOU CALLED ME KAZANEE AGAINNNN UWAAAAA!!" She cried.

Leaving the dinning hall, Kin let out a small chuckle.

Beep beep beep

The alarm clock echoed the silent room waking Kin up from her bed. She glanced at the alarm clock with her half-opened eyes and smacked it. Getting up, she walked to the bathroom slowly, took off her pyjamas and went in the shower.

Few minutes later, she was already in a grey sweater and black sweatpants. Tying her hair back up to the style she had yesterday.

She exited the room afterwards walking back to the principal's office.

"No matter what division you receive, I hope you represent them proudly." The headmaster said giving her the envelope. Kin opened it carefully taking out the piece of paper

The paper says written in gold.

"Salvation"

"Salvation..?" She looked at the headmaster.

"Ah, you're in the King's division. I'll call him right away so he could guide you."

The headmaster ordered his secretary to call the King.

Soon the door swung open, Kin's head immediately whipped at the sight of the man with jet-black hair and azure blue eyes.

"That guy was from yesterday.. He's the king?!"

"My name is Asahi Shunou, the King of Setsuna Academy and Salvation's leader." The man said.

"Kin Takami."

"Kin.. Your name sounds familiar, very familiar."

"So is yours." Her eyes narrowed down.

He chuckles.

"Let me show you our common room. Headmaster, excuse us."

The headmaster gave a small nod. As the two exited the office.

The Salvation common room was painted white accompanied by red decorations, such as a red carpet, cushion chairs, couches and more. Other than that, there are a couple of paintings, a chandelier and flower vases in front of some pillars.

"Our common room isn't too complicated. Just full of aesthetics." Asahi closed the door behind him.

"Seems... comfy." Kin looked around.

"Oh I know."

"Leopald will attack your vanguard!"

Kin glanced at the female who said that. She has light brown hair and grey eyes wearing a pair of glasses.

"Ah whatever, I don't guard. Good game." The male yawned not caring about it as he tidied up his deck.

"I win." She pushed up her glasses sighing doing the same.

"Nice win, Narumi. Hiro, you just need more practice."

"I appreciate the compliment, King Asahi."

"Tch, yeah sure."

Asahi just chuckled nervously scratching the back of his neck.

"Say Kin, wanna fight?"

Kin looked at Asahi tilting her head.

"I mean I need to test your skills in vanguard after all."

"Sure.. but a warning I'm not that good."

"When did you start playing?"

"As a kid, but I stopped for a couple of months because of gaming."

"It's not too long ago, I'm sure you haven't gotten rusty."

"Suit yourself." Kin walked to the opposite side of the table taking out her cards placing it to the deck area. Asahi did the same.

"Stand Up The Vanguard!" They chanted.

"First-Aid Celestial, Peniel! (6000)" Kin flipped her starting vanguard.

"Lozenge Magus! (6000)" Asahi turned his.

Narumi watched cardfight closely, both at grade 3s and 5 damage.

"The fight will probably end soon, King Asahi's deck may be outdated, but he plays it as if it was still meta." She crossed her arms drowning herself in her own thoughts.

"Tempestuous empress who oversees the quartz globe, foresee my future and shift my fate. I ride my avatar, Imperial Daughter! (12000) Imaginary Gift! Protect I! I activate her skill, I counterblast and check the top 2 cards of my deck, I'll send Amaterasu to the soul and add Promise Daughter to my hand. Since I rode Daughter from Amaterasu I gain 15000 power and going critical (27000/2★) I call Farfalle Magus (8000) I'll look at the top card of my deck." Asahi took the top card and sighed. "Placing it on the bottom, next I call Yellow Witch, MeMe (9000) with Meme's ability I check the top card and send it to the bottom. I call Cuore Magus! (8000) Cuore's ability I can check the top 2 cards of my deck." He looked at it again and grinned. "Sounds good to me." He placed in on top of his deck.

"Those have to be a trigger." Kin thought to herself looking at his deck.

"I'll pay a soulblast (Lozenge Magus) and give Promise Daughter an additional 6000 power (15000). Promise Daughter attacks! Her skill since I have more than 4 cards in hand another 6000! (21000)"

"I guard that with Arabhaki! (22000)"

"With a boost from Circle Magus, Imperial Daughter takes aim! (35000/2★)"

"Protect!"

"Checking the twin drive, (Psyhsic Bird - critical) all effects to MeMe, second (Luck Bird). Circle Magus' skill I put the drive checked card to the bottom of my deck and draw. MeMe attacks! (27000/2★)"

"No guard (Wild-Shot Celestial, Raguel. Solidify Celestial, Zerachiel)"

"I stand and I draw, Dance with the flames of vengeance and burn my opponent to ashes! I ride, Crimson Impact, Metatron! (12000) Imaginary gift Protect I! Since i rode Metatron from Zerachiel I get to counterblast two, and superior call from the damage zone, descend on Mechanical Wings and protect the injured! Mobile Hospital, Feather Palace! (12000) retiring Armaiti. I'll use Metatron's other skill, I put Sunny Smile to the bottom of the deck, damage check (Hot Shot Celestial, Samyaza - critical) a critical trigger, power to Million Ray Pegasus! (19000/2★) Million's skill since there's a new card in my damage zone add 5000 power and shield (24000/10000) Zerachiel's ability from the damage zone." Kin put another card into the damage zone face down.

"Holy angel, rise above into the heavens on divine wings! Superior ride, Solidify Celestial, Zerachiel! (12000) Imaginary Gift, Protect I! My front gains 3000 power until the end of my turn (27000/2★) (15000) (15000) I call Marking Celestial, Arabhaki (8000) I discard a card (Rear Impetus Celestial, Armaiti) and take Samyaza from the damage zone." She put the top card to the damage zone face down again. "Zerachiel attacks your vanguard with support from Arabhaki! Healing Sonata! (23000)"

"Protect!"

"Twin drive, (Critical Hit Angel - critical. Sunny Smile Angel - heal) All effects to Mobile Hospital! (35000/2★) Million Ray charges with Hesedial! (35000/2★)"

"Tsk, how lucky. I guard that, with my second protect gift!"

"Back by Thousand Ray, Mobile Hospital! Thousand's counterblast, add 10000 power to this attack, Mobile's skill." Kin turned over her last face up card in her damage zone face down. "Gaining 20000 and a critical (62000/3★) you're not allowed to use sentinels for this attack! Heaven's Judgement!"

Asahi looked at his hand.

"I don't guard."

Narumi's eyes widen. "He's gambling for a trigger?"

"Damage check (Sphere Magus - heal) I got a heal trigger, recovering one damage, power goes to Imperial Daughter (22000)"

"That's his third heal, Game over." Kin narrowed her eyes.

"(Victorious Deer) Aw that's game." He shrugged with a very relaxed face.

"As King, you don't feel ashamed?"

"Of what?"

"Losing to a newbie."

"I mean, I can't do anything about it, a King loses once in awhile. Besides this deck is just one of mine."

"If I hadn't pulled that critical, there was at least a 30% chance of your survival."

"You've keep track of my triggers I see."

"It was necessary against an Oracle Think Tank deck."

"Not bad, I can see why you end up in Salvation." Asahi laughed and gave her a headpat. "Congratulations Kin, you're officially a Salvator."

"Impressive." Narumi just smiled at Kin. "You were able to beat the King, that's something that a lot of the students here can't do."

"Thank you, I'm glad I've reached the criteria." Kin chuckled.

"Remember that tomorrow is the start of a new academic year, so we have to gather in the convention hall, 8AM sharp. Is that clear?"

"Understood." Narumi said.

Kin just nodded her head.

"That concludes today. You're free to do whatever you want for the rest of the day."

"Sounds good to me." Kin grinned making her way out of the common room.

"Are you sure it was a good idea to accept her in the first place sir?"

"Kin's records are really something, she has an A+ on almost everything. However.."

"However?"

"Her psychological thinking is quite.. eerie."

"Maybe something effected her during her childhood?"

"Perhaps, but I'm interested how things will work out."
