- Part 5

The pain in my arm got progressively worse throughout lessons. It became tough to even write. Thankfully, it was now lunch time, so I got to have a break.

Since we were a day away from the war, half the group left to eat lunch, while the other half decided to stay and continue practicing. Naturally, I stayed in the classroom to practice against Akihiro. Yukina was with us too, since she could eat her bento in class.

Meanwhile, Nora was practicing against Kawaguchi, who was perfecting his brand new Gold Paladin deck via testing. Everyone else had basically gone to eat.

Just as I was shuffling my deck, a sharp pain entered my arm again. I dropped the cards by accident because of it and held my right arm tightly with a hiss.

"Yuu! Are you okay?!"

The first to respond was Yukina, who gently placed her hands onto my painful arm.

"Yeah... I'll be fine."

Just as I said that, my arm got that same sharp pain again. It radiated in one area, concentrated. At least it wasn't spreading out to the rest of my body.

"You don't look fine... it looks like it hurts a lot."

"No, really, it's nothing. I can continue..."

As I reached out to pick up my deck, the pain split through my muscles, causing me to gasp and cover my mouth to stop me from yelling in pain.

"Woah, woah, don't push yourself bro. What did ya do to your arm?"

Even Akihiro was growing concerned for me.

"I don't know... it just started during break time randomly..."

"You've sat through two lessons with that pain?!"

Yukina, who was now alarmed by the severity and length of my pain, rolled up my sleeve to check my arm for any bruises or swelling. However, when she looked, she found nothing of the sort.

"I can tough it out for the rest of the day. There's no reason to make it such a big deal..."

As I tried moving my arm, the pain returned. I didn't want to let my own fears consume me, but even I was getting worried at my worsening condition. I was a completely normal and healthy teenage boy with no medical conditions. What could even cause this pain?

"Your face says differently... look at how hard you're gritting your teeth..."

Yukina pointed out my clenched jaw. I didn't even realise I was gritting my teeth so hard. I relaxed my mouth, stopping that.

"You should visit the infirmary. Come on."

Yukina encouraged me to go visit the school doctor, but I refused.

"No, my arm can come later. Practicing with Akihiro-san for the war comes first. We need to use this spare time to help him prepare."

"All this preparation is pointless if you can't even move your arm without it hurting! How will you play Vanguard if it hurts to move it?"

"I'll just play with my left hand."

"How will you shuffle?"

"I'll get someone else to do it."

"Then how about writing? You're right-handed."

"I'll ask someone else for their notes."

"Yuu... stop being so stubborn! Let's get it checked out before it gets worse."

"It'll probably go away in a few days... there's no point."

"There is!"

"There isn't."

"I'm bringing you to the infirmary."

"You can't do that..."

"I can and I will!"

Yukina grabbed me by the arm and pulled me up from my seat.

"Ah?"

She was stronger than I expected. That, or I was lighter than I thought.

"Come on, we're going."

"Hang on, you can't... this is against my human rights!"

I think it was, at least.

"I said I can. And so, I will."

"H-huh..."

Yukina sounded kind of scary for a moment there. To make sure I wouldn't escape, she tightly wrapped herself around my right arm, squeezing it to cause pain, and dragging me along behind her like some kind of dog.

"Akihiro-san... hey, Akihiro-san! A little help here?!"

Akihiro simply chuckled, waving goodbye to me. I guess he was of the opinion I should get it checked too...

"...seriously, what kind of scenario is this?"

I quietly mumbled that to myself as Yukina pulled me along to the infirmary. For some reason, she had a smile on her face as she did... was she seriously finding joy in my suffering? My right arm pulsed with pain as her chest pushed against it periodically.

This is the worst...

We arrived at the infirmary, which was in the special wing of the bottom floor. Knocking on door and finally letting go of me, Yukina was greeted by the school nurse, Marikawa Saeko-sensei.

"Good afternoon, Kazuraba-san, Takanori-saaaaaaan—!"

As she stepped to the side to let us in, Marikawa-sensei stepped on her own left foot, tripping forward. My reflexes reacted quickly, and I caught her before she could fall. She was surprisingly heavy.

"Ahh, I'm so sorry! I bought these shoes yesterday, so I'm still not used to wearing them!"

Marikawa-sensei apologised profusely, bowing to me and Yukina over and over. However, catching her only put more strain on my right arm, increasing the pain. I quietly hissed, rubbing it.

"It's fine, Marikawa-sensei. Could you please get the doctor to check on Yuu? His right arm... it's in a lot of pain."

"Oh my... you shouldn't have caught me then! That would've only made it worse!"

"It's fine... it's no big deal, really..."

The more I lied, the worse the pain became. I really hate my body right now.

"Anyways, come in, Hinohara-sensei is just around the corner."

Marikawa-sensei ushered us inside the surprisingly large school infirmary. The first thing that hit my senses was the strong smell of coffee. Someone here was a caffeine addict, that's for sure.

It was pretty spacious, with about eight beds available. A curtain was dragged around one of them, and two other students were also inside, standing beside that bed. To my surprise, it was Andou and Hiyama, two of the E Class 3rd Years I met earlier.

"For god's sake, when you braindead kids say "we'll kill their dumbasses", don't actually try and kill them, you Neanderthals! Good lord, look at the blood gushing from his leg... I don't get paid enough to deal with these stupid teenagers!"

The first thing I heard when I walked inside was the aggressive shouting of the doctor and the wailing of the poor patient he was treating.

"I'm about to shove a sock in your mouth if you don't suck it up you sack of useless crap!"

He seemed like a grumpy man with a no nonsense attitude and a short temper for others. That was my first impression of GEN Academy's school doctor, Hinohara Shouma. I wondered if the patient was crying from the pain or the insults...

"I think we should leave..."

Andou began whispering to Hiyama.

"I'd like to, but I'm the reason his leg's busted like that..."

"Your tackle was way too aggressive... he's a 1st Year, you know?"

"I swear I went easy on him... it's not like I want to get into trouble with that lot."

From their conversation, I had inferred that Hinohara-sensei's current patient was a fellow 1st Year who was injured by Hiyama in a tackle gone wrong. Since Andou was involved, I'm guessing it was in a game of football.

Even though I wasn't near the bed, the curtains rustled every so often due to the wind, so I could catch glimpses of who was injured. To my surprise, it was Shigeru Zenkichi from D Class. I couldn't see very much, but it seemed like the cut in his leg was pretty nasty.

I wondered if he'll be okay. To be injured on the day before the war... I couldn't help but feel a little bad for D Class. Though, there was a chance Shigeru might not be able to participate in the war because of it, which would make things easier for my class.

"Ummm, Hinohara-sensei, we have another patient."

Marikawa-sensei gently called out for the doctor.

"You're kidding me! Another one of these gremlins?! My hands are full with this idiot right now!"

I looked over to Yukina.

"Do you regret coming to the infirmary yet?"

"...just a little."

She sighed with reluctance. Needless to say, my luck wasn't the best.

"Whatever, just tell me what the kid's issue is... could you stop crying for one second, Shigeru-san?!"

Was he really a doctor? I started to doubt his credentials just slightly.

"Ummm, h-he's got an injured arm..."

Hinohara-sensei poked his head out the curtain and examined me from afar. His face deadpanned before flaring up with anger.

"Go crawl back to your mother's womb and man the hell up, you damn pansy! Namie-kun, I have better things to deal with than this wimp's issue, you go take care of it!"

"Yes, Hinohara-sensei. By the way, it's not "Namie-kun", it's "Shigaisoshi-sama". Please address me properly."

"...you're proof God has a sense of humour, woman."

Emerging from the infirmary's office were two girls, both from A Class. One was the secondary "doctor" Hinohara-sensei called for, Shigaisoshi Namie.

The other... I immediately felt a sense of dread seeing her face. This dread turned into confusion when I saw her outfit.

"Ara, it's Boya-san! Aww, you poor thing... where does it hurt? Nurse Emica will make it feel all better!"

It was Yogen Emica... in a full on nurse outfit.

Shigaisoshi was wearing a doctor's coat over her uniform, which was understandable, but Yogen had completely ditched her school uniform altogether. Even the actual nurse here, Marikawa-sensei, didn't go so far. She just wore the doctor's coat over her regular clothes.

To make matters even worse, Yukina was with me right now. These two mixed like oil and water. I couldn't let Yukina be hurt by Yogen again, so I decided immediately that we were leaving.

"Yukina, let's go."

"E-eh?"

I took her by the wrist and made my way to the door, wincing as I pulled her along. Yukina showed some signs of resistance, but I was stopped dead in my tracks by the sound of Hinohara-sensei's loud and scary voice.

"Oi, you backwards ass tight capped sack of crap, come back here! Don't come to my god damn infirmary if you're just going to waste my or Namie-kun's time! You're a selfish prick for coming here asking for a check-up then leaving without one on a stupid whim! Suck it up you troglodyte-homunculus-crybaby and take a damn seat on one of the beds!"

"It's "Shigaisoshi-sama"."

"...you are by far the most incompetent, backwards thinking imbecile I've ever had the displeasure of working with, woman."

Hinohara-sensei, who overheard me, thoroughly chewed me out for my selfish actions.

"I said from the beginning it wasn't that big of a deal... there's no need to make such a big fuss out of it."

"Is that so? You're not fooling anyone, o ho ho ho!"

Shigaisoshi laughed like a princess, strutting up to me and poking me in my upper right arm. I flinched, gritting my teeth to endure the pain she sent rippling out into my shoulder with one simple touch.

"Do as Hinohara-sensei says and take a seat. You really are in no condition to leave."

"Hinohara-sensei and Shigaisoshi-sama is right, Takanori-san... if it hurts a lot, then you should get proper medical advice before it gets worse."

Even the reserved Marikawa-sensei was encouraging me. I was now pincered by three medical professionals (was Shigaisoshi a professional?) telling me to get a check up. The chance for me and Yukina to escape was becoming slim.

"It's fine, Yuu... I'll be okay. Just let Shigaisoshi-san see what's wrong and maybe you can get some medicine for it."

"It's "Shigaisoshi-sama" to you too."

What was her obsession with being referred to as "sama"? The only thing she was better at than all of us was being a doctor.

"But, Yogen-san, she..."

As I uttered her name, Yogen appeared behind me, grabbing me by the shoulders. I winced, since my right shoulder was still in pain. Then, her slender hands started to massage my shoulders, easing the pain a little.

"I'm here to focus on you, Boya-san."

Yogen whispered into my ear as she said that. She continued to massage my shoulders, releasing the tension I've built up in them over the past week.

"I don't have any time to waste with insignificant girls like her, you know?"

Yogen giggled, teasing me like usual while also sliding in a diss at Yukina. While it felt nice to have the pain go away, knowing that it was Yogen doing it made me feel pretty guilty. To stop her from continuing, I put my hand on top of hers firmly.

"This is unnecessary. I'll get myself seated."

I brushed Yogen off my back and sat down on the bed Marikawa-sensei had prepared for me. Annoyingly, Yogen sat down next to me, grabbing my right arm for Shigaisoshi to inspect. Yukina stood to side, watching us as her ahoge drooped over.

"Can you just leave me alone for a second?"

I firmly asked Yogen to back down. I guess Hiden-sensei didn't deliver the message to her like I'd asked him to yesterday. She was still being a thorn in my side.

"That won't do~. I'm your personal nurse, Boya-san. Aren't you glad that I'm here to take care of you specifically?"

Yogen winked, pressing her body against my arm. She was acting less like a nurse and more like a hostess roleplaying as one. I wasn't feeling anything from her forward advances, except mild discomfort.

"This is just an unfortunate coincidence. Why are you even here in the first place? And what's with the nurse outfit?"

"Do you like it?"

"I'll answer your question if you answer mine."

"To tell you the truth, I have no interest becoming a nurse. I'm only here because I lost a bet to Shigaisoshi-sama."

Shigaisoshi nodded proudly with a smug smile, puffing out her chest as Yogen said that.

"She was a fool to dare challenge me and my superior intellect, o ho ho ho!"

Once again, Shigaisoshi haughtily laughed like a princess.

"...what the hell kind of bet did you two do?"

It was surprising to hear that Yogen, who was a master at reading people through their words, had lost to Shigaisoshi, who seemed like an air-headed doofus when it came to social situations due to her over the top personality.

"Ah-uh, no new questions until you answer mine. Do you like it?"

"No."

Personally, I had no strong feelings either way, but I figured that if I was blunt and shot her down here, it might get her to back off a little in the future.

"No nurse kink, huh? Back to the thinking board..."

I suddenly felt a surge of fear as she said that. What the hell was Yogen planning...?

"So... the bet?"

"Oh, it was about whether or not Yami-kun had a crush on somebody."

Yogen pouted as she said that, looking unhappy to dig up this loss. I guess she wasn't invincible after all, which was reassuring.

"One day while talking to each other, the topic of crushes came up, and eventually we landed on Yogen-san's close companion, Yamamoto-san. I was like, "Yamamoto-san? Yeah, he totally has a crush." to her."

"And I was like, "What? No, I spend the most time with him, he's more dense than a brick!" back."

"Then I was like, "No, no, I cannot be wrong. And if I'm wrong, I'll wear this nurse outfit.", since I work in the infirmary, but I know I'm right. After all, I can never be wrong, o ho ho ho!"

Shigaisoshi laughed like a princess again, pointing to the outfit Yogen was wearing. Yogen jokingly modelled it for me. I think. She was enjoying herself too much...

"Then, in my own confidence, I was like, "Ya wanna bet then?", with the condition that the loser had to wear this outfit for two weeks straight."

Note to self, don't visit the infirmary for at least two weeks, starting from now.

"Of course, I accepted, because I knew I'd win. It was easy as taking candy from a baby, not that I'd ever do that."

Shigaisoshi flipped her long hair and looked down at me and Yogen with an air of smug superiority.

"Anyways, we went to Yami-kun and asked him whether he had a crush on someone. Even though he was reluctant, his wonderful sister Yumi-chan confirmed he indeed did have one for us, much to my dismay..."

If I were to take a guess, his crush was on Shimizu. Too bad the childhood friend never wins.

"It was humiliating for her! I laughed so hard in Yogen-san's face, tears formed in my eyes and ruined my mascara. It was totally worth it though, o ho ho ho!"

Shigaisoshi laughed like a princess again, much to Yogen's annoyance. She puffed her blushing cheeks out childishly, pouting.

"Let's just forget about this, okay?! Right now, we need to focus on poor Boya-san!"

Yogen turned to me, caressing my arm once again. She looked straight into my eyes, raising her eyebrows cutely.

"How did it become so bad...? I know boys can be quite horny, but I never knew you had this much pent up frustration."

Even though she wasn't a doctor, Yogen diagnosed the reason behind my pain as excessive masturbation.

"If your hand isn't enough..."

Yogen pressed her lips against my ears and whispered something. I blanked out for that moment because a girl's lips touched my ear and I was a total virgin. (Or something along those lines, I just needed an excuse to forget her ridiculous suggestion.)

"I don't do either of those things, Yogen-san..."

I bluntly shut her down while she insinuated penetration with her fingers, maintaining an innocent face. While Taiga did it as a joke, Yogen was being completely serious with her proposal...

"Alright horny on main, get outta the way, it's time for the real doctor to examine this bitch."

Shigaisoshi, who was speaking posh and upper class earlier, suddenly devolved into coarse and lower class language. I guess spending a lot of time with the vulgar Hinohara-sensei does that to someone.

"Now then, where's the pain concentrated at, asshat?"

Like a good assistant, Yogen rolled up the sleeve of my uniform, pointing to where on my arm it hurt. I tacked on a brief explanation to help Shigaisoshi pinpoint the problem.

"It goes from my right shoulder down to my elbow."

Shigaisoshi took my arm from Yogen and began scrutinising it's appearance, poking and prodding to see how I'd react. It was surprisingly effective, as the pain she caused made me wince, hiss, and whimper.

I can't help but feel like there was an element of sadism with her apparently "medical" procedure...

"Well then, dipstick. I know what's wrong with you."

Shigaisoshi took off her gloves and threw them in the bin, her arms going akimbo.

"You have a chronic case of retardation."

"...huh?"

I only knew this term from math class. Retardation was from the mechanics portion of the syllabus. It referred to when something slowed down, for questions related to velocity and such.

"You heard me! You could've diagnosed the issue yourself, you overfilled cream puff. Anyone can tell from first glance that you've pulled your muscle."

"...that makes a lot of sense in hindsight."

Apparently, the mysterious pain in my arm was a result of me overworking my right arm the past few days and pulling it. Considering I had gotten beaten up, carried two heavy toolboxes around, as well as punched two people with all my strength, I feel like I should've arrived to that answer sooner myself.

"The only cure for you... is studying."

Shigaisoshi took out a green medical slip from the desk and scribbled on it, in sloppy handwriting like any good doctor, the form for my medicine I could get from the pharmacy later.

However, when she handed it to me, all I could make out was "read a book and go outside". If I showed this to a pharmacist, they'd probably think this was a joke and kick me out from the store...

There was something else written, but I couldn't make out what it was. It looked kind of like "stop hacking off". Though, the "h" looked a bit like a "j".

"I'm not here to be told I'm stupid, I'm here to get some treatment for my arm. It really hurts..."

I finally admitted my weakness in front of three girls. It was unbelievably embarrassing, but I didn't hate it.

"The best medicine is letting it heal by itself. Not using it for a couple days should help accelerate the process greatly."

"But I'm right-handed dominant..."

"Too bad. Suck it up and fight through the pain, peewee."

I guess training to be ambidextrous in middle school finally paid off. While I was right-handed, I could use also my left hand with a high degree of skill.

"Fine..."

"On second thought, there might be something for a girly boy like you. Hold on."

Shigaisoshi seemed to remember something as she entered the office attached to the infirmary to look for something.

"I was wondering... what is Shigaisoshi-san—"

"It's "Shigaisoshi-sama" to you."

Somehow, even though she was in a different room, Shigaisoshi managed to hear me and shout that back in response. This girl's hearing was scary...

"Sorry, I mean "Shigaisoshi-sama"..."

It felt belittling to give her that respected and honourable title, but what could I do...

"I was wondering, why is she here working as a doctor? It's a weird job to take up as a student."

"Oh, that's simple. Shigaisoshi-sama wants to become a heart surgeon."

Yogen answered for Shigaisoshi in her steed. I was pretty shocked by this dream of hers.

"Believe it or not, Hinohara-sensei was a former heart surgeon himself. Once he got old, he quit the job out of fear he'd mess up the surgery due to his frail hands and worsening eyesight, so he became GEN's doctor under Satsubatsu-sama's request. He's taken Shigaisoshi-sama under his wing and is teaching her everything he knows in preparation for her to go to medical school when she graduates."

"That's ambitious... it must be difficult to balance out her life like that."

"Not at all. Apparently, the rumours are she's smart enough to go medical school at her current age, but one of the requirements for the university she wants to go to is graduating from high school, so she was forced to come to GEN to fulfil it, despite her intellect."

"...she wasn't joking when she said she had superior intellect?"

"Nope! In fact, because she's so good at science, she doesn't have any lessons on it. Instead, they've been replaced with private tutoring sessions with Hinohara-sensei to teach her about heart surgery."

Suddenly, Shigaisoshi sounded a thousand times more impressive. Too bad her personality was all over the place...

"Is there anyone else who has a specialised timetable?"

"I know a few people in A Class with them. For example, Kurase-san has additional sports lessons with the 2nd Years replacing a spread of different subjects. They're really pushing for him to become a pro-basketball player."

"Wow..."

I guess these perks didn't extend to us E Class students. If they did, Yukimura would probably have something similar to Kurase, but for football.

Even though it wasn't much, I still gained some valuable information from Yogen. I was surprised that she was so open about this kind of thing, but I guess there was a purpose behind telling me if she went out of her way to do it.

"Well, thanks."

"No problem, Boya-san~. If you need anything, you can ask your personal nurse, Emica!"

She made a heart shape with her hands. It must be nice to be her boyfriend. Luckily for me, I wasn't even a normal friend to her. I was Boya-san. There was no chance for something like that to rise between us.

"Nee, let's say you get stabbed in the heart and need medical treatment. Would you trust Shigaisoshi-sama with your heart?"

If she was aiming to become a heart surgeon, that would require a lot of knowledge and skill. It's not something I could answer easily, but in that life or death situation, I'd probably have no choice but to put my faith in her. However, since it implies I had control over who did my heart surgery in that critical moment, I decided on a safe and truthful answer.

"Right now? No. In the future? Probably."

"Probably, huh? Then, what about me? Would you trust me with your heart?"

Yogen's finger trailed down my chest.

"Absolutely not."

"Mean, but fair. I wouldn't even trust myself when it comes to matters of the heart."

Yogen giggled with her usual teasing undertone.

"What about Kazuraba-san? Would you trust her?"

I looked over to Yukina, who had been silently watching us. When the question was pointed at her, she suddenly seemed more awake than before.

"With my heart? Maybe. Everything else? Absolutely."

In order to instil some confidence back into Yukina, I gave a firm and bold answer to Yogen's face. She raised an eyebrow, smiling devilishly.

"Ara? Interesting~."

In hindsight, this was probably another one of her traps. But this time, I wasn't afraid to fall into it. Hesitation could be difference between victory and defeat in my verbal battles against Yogen.

"Here you go."

Returning from the office, Shigaisoshi threw a rectangular carton containing a tube onto the bed. I picked it up, staring at it. It was a gel designed to help ease muscle pain. It was the type of stuff you could easily buy over the counter at a pharmacist.

"You can put it on yourself, right?"

"Yeah, I can."

After all, I was ambidextrous. Sort of.

However, just when I was about to open the tube, Yogen snatched it from me and wagged her finger.

"Nuh-uh. You could do it by yourself, but as your personal nurse, I'll administer it instead. Stay perfectly still for me, okay~?"

Yogen smiled from ear to ear as she said that. When she took out the tube from the box, a sudden challenger swiped it from her.

"No... I'll put it on Yuu instead."

Snatching the tube of gel was Yukina. She sat on my left side, narrowing her eyes to Yogen.

"Ara ara, how bold! However, your sneaky plan has one fatal mistake."

Yogen, who was sitting on my right side, hugged herself around my arm to prevent Yukina from accessing it. She turned herself into a human lock. The paper thin nurse uniform meant I could feel the full flesh of Yogen's chest press against my arm. A totally different sensation from when Yukina did it to me yesterday.

"What will you do now, Kazuraba-san?"

Silently, Yukina tossed the gel onto the bed and grabbed Yogen by the sleeve of her outfit, forcing her up and away from me.

"Hey, you're getting pretty feisty~!"

Rather than reply with anger or spite, Yogen simply laughed, delighted by seeing Yukina take action against her.

"I said... I'll put it on him!"

"You tossed the gel on the bed, though?"

"That's because... I need both my hands empty... to do this!"

Even though there was a shaky quality to Yukina's voice, she had undoubtedly become braver. It was like she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself. Squeezing her hands into fists, Yukina closed her eyes and charged forward.

"Horaaaaaaaaaaa—!"

Yukina yelled loudly as she bonked Yogen on the head repeatedly with her balled fists.

"Hm, not bad... for a child."

Yogen, who wasn't expecting Yukina's attack, smirked, and also balled up her hands into fists.

"Hyaaaaaaaaaaaaa—!"

In retaliation, Yogen swung her arms down, unleashing a flurry of bonks on Yukina's head.

Yukina, who had committed to beating Yogen, countered by bonking back even fiercer than before. Yogen matched her tenacity, speeding up. Their arms spun rapidly like windmills as they devolved into bonking each other like children.

And here I thought girls fought each other by calling each other mean names...

"Look at these two... tsk tsk."

While watching them fight, Shigaisoshi shook her head in disappointment. Then, she looked at me with a displeased raised eyebrow.

"Honestly, pipsqueak. I know you're useless, but I didn't know you were that useless."

Shigaisoshi sat down next to me and picked up the unopened tube of gel left on the bed. Opening it, she started to apply the gel for me instead.

"...ah?"

I made a confused sound as Shigaisoshi's immaculate hands started rubbing up and down my arm skilfully.

"Don't give me that deer in headlights look, you lazy bum. The gel's right there yet you're not putting it on. What happened to "I can do myself", huh?"

I had become so engrossed in Yukina and Yogen's catfight, I forgot that I could've just put the gel on myself. Misinterpreting my lack of action as me being useless, Shigaisoshi decided to just do it herself, presumably out of some sort of sadistic pity.

"My bad... sorry for getting you to do this."

"It's more entertaining than whatever those two freaks are doing."

Shigaisoshi pointed at Yukina and Yogen, catching their attention. Dropping their catfight instantly, shock enveloped their faces as they saw Shigaisoshi rub the gel into my arm.

"H-huh?! B-but I was going to do that..."

"Shigaisoshi-sama, you sneaky little...!"

"You snooze, you lose, ladies! O ho ho ho!"

Shigaisoshi laughed like an evil princess who had just thwarted the plans of Yukina and Yogen. I was starting to think she found joy in other's misery...

"No fair!"

"Y-Yuu..."

I looked away, facepalming to hide my second-hand embarrassment for the two girls. I had no response for them, except this.

"...I'm going back to class."
