"So, this is the place?" Kyouya look at the café, its aesthetics are modern but still has some sprinkles of an old-fashioned café.

"Yes. It's where I usually get coffee." Usui said nonchalantly as they went into the café.

The welcome bell rang once they were in. Fortunately, It wasn't too crowded, people there was either reading a book, chatting, or on their laptop.

The 5 went to a table and took a look at the menu. As a waiter came to their table.

"I'll take a Pumpkin Spice Latte." Haruka put down her menu.

"Espresso." Usui ordered putting both of his arms on the table.

"an americano." Kyouya ordered while leaning back on the birch chair.

"A Latte Macchiato." Lucine ordered shifting her leg to the other.

"Frappuccino." Akari said simply giving back the menu to the waiter.

The waiter wrote down the orders "it'll arrive shortly." he said taking the menu soon walking away.

"Hey Usui, I thought you used Granblue on the match you have with Haruka."

"Nakano, it's called G O D S P E E D deck changing." He said innocently.

"Godspeed?" She blink, her face was full of confusion.

"Yeah I will not answer that."

She scoffed at that 'answer' before noticing a trio who just sat down beside her own small group.

A boy with marshmallow white hair in a Harumi uniform. He was with two other people, one has dark gold hair tied in 2 curled-styled ponytails, she is wearing a Harumi uniform. Akari notice that the girl is from her class, but she has trouble remembering her name. All she could thought was Ki because that's what some people called her, though, the people who called her were amongst boys, who got beat up after calling her that.

The other has messy crimson red hair, he has a Miyaji uniform on. He looks quite mature for his age.

The white hair boy notice Akari's gaze and glance back at her. "O-oh Aka-chan.." He greeted shyly with a small wave.

"Yato.." She greeted with a mumble.

"So this is the girl you were talking about." the golden haired girl looked at Yato.

"Y-yeah."

"I know you.. Akari Nakano right? The person who sits in the back a lot. Even when the teacher asked you to move seats you'd always contradict." The golden haired girl looked at her.

"Do you have a problem with that?" Akari questioned bluntly.

"W-well no!" She stuttered then raised her voice. "I don't even care!" she scoffed.

"Righttt....." Akari trailed off her words.

"W-what's that supposed to mean?!" she has a tac mark on her head.

"Nothing."

"Better not be." She scoffed lightly crossing her arms.

"That was called sarcasm."

"OKAY I SWEAR-" Kizari has her fist tightened while glaring. At that point she got most attention of customers in the café. It made her bit her bottom lip and took deep breaths.

"That's right calm down." Akari snicker under her breath.

"Shut up!"

"Do you see her like this often?" Kyouya questioned the red haired boy.

"Yes." He sigh and scratch the back of his neck.

"I feel like i know you from somewhere..." Kyouya mutter slightly.

"I'm from Miyaji, Masaru Kurenai at your service." Masaru introduced himself as Kyouya snap his fingers.

"Did you have a one week student exchange to Fukuhara until yesterday?"

"Yeah."

"no wonder, I'm still kinda new to Fuku. Only been a few days there."

"I see, anyway my apologies for Kizari's behavior."

"meh, I know someone else with that behavior." Kyouya mutter pouting. His eyes shifted to Haruka who was enjoying her Pumpkin Spice Latte with Usui.

"Huh, our drinks came." Kyouya blink in surprise of how quick it came.

"C'mon it'll get cold." Usui said plainly taking another sip of his espresso.

"be right back." Kyouya sat back down and started drinking his warm coffee. "it's not hot anymore." he pouts.

Masaru just sweatdropped at his sentence before looking back at Kizari who was still threatening Akari.

"Ladies please. Settle this better rather than a threat to threat." he said.

"Okay." Kizari rolls her eyes before taking out a light pink deckbox. "Cardfight me."

Akari look at the deck and gulp a bit, after feeling 2 losses, she felt a bit less confident. "don't back down." she thought to herself "alright fine." she took out her deckbox.

"Has the threats finally calmed down?" Lucine sip her drink.

"Not really." Masaru answer looking at the two competitive players who just placed down their starting vanguards.

"ah Masaru, I didn't see you today." She recognize him from her class.

"Mhm, since student exchange week is over."

"ah i see."

"Say, don't I have unfinished business with you?" He grin playfully.

"Right. The bell rang last time." she sweatdropped. "I'm sure you'd like to finish it?"

"Most certainly." he took out his deck as they sat down at an unoccupied table.

"Stand Up (The) Vanguard!" the four yelled flipping their starting vanguards face up.

"Little Rouge of the Night, Kaori! (5000)" Akari declared.

"Battle Sister, Kipferl! (5000)" Kizari declared.

"Draw, I ride Battle Sister, Taffy (7000). Move Kipferl back. I end my turn."

Kizari scowl before throwing 2 cards to the damage zone revealing to be Battle Sister Macaron and Battle Sister, Rusk.

"I need at least a 25000 and 30000 shield against her rearguards." He thought while looking at his hand. "I can survive this. I have to."

Masaru thought before making a decision to not guard the attack and check a damage to reveal Chronodoze Sheep. "Draw trigger, power to Jet Z (11000 » 16000) and I draw."

"Just one more." Lucine thought while putting Darkside to the soul then rest Lappin and the Cutie on the same column. "Lappin attacks your vanguard (38000) skill activated soulcharge (Masquerade Bunny) add 2000 power.. (38000 » 40000)" she has a sad tone of not getting a magia unit.

"Generation Guard! Pulsar Saver Ilishu! (15000 » 26000) skill soulblast since I have more than 5 cards in my bind zone add 20000 to the shield! (26000 » 46000)"

Lucine look at her hand sighing, only to have a Masquerade Bunny. "I can't guard that.."

"Triple Drive (Steam Tamer, Arka. Pulsar Tamer, Lugal-Ure. Chronojet Dragon G) nothing on the triple drive."

"Damage check. (sky-high Walker)" she chuckled sadly looking at the stand trigger. "Well that's game."

"whew good game." Masaru grin victoriously before looking at the other cardfight that Akari and Kizari was still having the cardfight.

"Yuki crush her vanguard! (36000) her Generation Break 2 skill, persona flip, counterblast 1 and I'll bind 3 cards from my hand. Add a drive and critical to the attack. (36000/2 🌟/4 drive)"

Kizari's eye twitch in annoyance she was in the urge of defeat. "Hmph, I won't guard it." she said in a low monotonous tone.

"Drive trigger check (Dusk Runner) heal trigger, I'll give the power to Luke (17000) and can't recover. (Protector in the moonlight, Akira. Bloody Assassin) critical trigger! Critical to my vanguard and power to Luke (36000/3 🌟) (21000). Final check (One eyed General, Mikhail)"

Kizari gasp in shock and slight disgust after the critical trigger. "a triple critical..." she glared at Akari.

"Damage trigger check (Battle Sister, Polvoron) a heal trigger! I give the power to my vanguard and recover a point of damage! (16000) second check (Efficient Carp) a useless stand trigger." She scoffed before tidying her deck without saying a good game. Akari just did the same avoiding eye contact to her.

Once Kizari finished tidying up her cards she immediately left the café with no words.

"H-hey wait you haven't even said goodbye.." Yato finally spoke after the whole match as he chased after her.

Akari stare at the two blankly but glance back to her deck, she was about to put her deck of cards to her pocket until...

"I need to be excused..." Akari said quite awkwardly before making her way to the bathroom quickly.

Masaru who was sitting the table across them bit his bottom lip fidgeting his fingers he glance over at Haruka and Usui who were talking. Kyouya was reading a magazine.

While they weren't looking, Masaru quietly and slowly took Akari's deck and shove it into his right pocket of his jacket.

Usui heard the sound of cards jangling as he look at Masaru then the table and notice the deck box missing.

"Hm?" Usui took notice at the missing deck. "Masaru? Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Masaru raised a brow masking his devious grin with a confused expression.

"Nakano-san's deck is missing." Usui narrowed his eyes at Masaru. He's starting to get suspicious of him. Masaru just shrugged his shoulders. Peaking over Usui's shoulder, he saw Akari coming back. He send a short glare at her before he ran away from the area making Usui's reflexes react quickly and pin him down to the ground.

This caused Kyouya, Akari and Haruka to be shocked as they ran up to the two. Masaru was struggling to get out of Usui's grip. Although there was a burst on the door, it was a seemingly teenage man who was wearing a Japanese kitsune mask.

The man with the mask push Usui off which cause Masaru to stand up and flee the café as quick as possible.

"Oi! Come back here!" Usui growled standing up.

"WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK HAPPENED?!" Akari asked Usui.

"That red haired guy stole your deck!". Her eyes widen in surprise

"SONUVA-" Akari ran out of the café trying to find where Masaru and the teenage man was. Sadly, there was no avail, but that didn't stop her to continue chasing them.

"K-KIZARI HOLD UP!" Yato panted tiredly after chasing her for about a good 10 minutes.

"what do you want?!" Kizari rolled her eyes crossing her arms.

"it's n-not nice to leave like that.."

"I DON'T CARE!" Kizari scoffed and pouted a little bit. "That girl.. I don't really like her.."

"Yeah but.."

"Just leave me alone."

Yato just sigh before two people with a mask and Masaru were running pass him and later a tired Akari chasing them. She stop at her tracks when she found Yato and Kizari.

"w-what the-" Yato questioned stuttering.

"Masaru took my deck..!" Akari said quickly before panting again.

"w-what why?"

"I don't know.." She look back at the pathway and they dissapeared. Gone, just like that.

"where did they go?!"

"I saw them going to an alleyway." Kizari simply said.

"Alleyway..?" Akari questioned before running to the nearest alleyway.

Once she arrived, she only saw horrorific things in her eyes. She could feel scorching heat witnessing her deck getting burnt to utter dust. They seem not to notice her presences.

"Step 1 completed." the man with a mask grinned.

"To the fighting underground?" Masaru looked at him.

"Right."

"WHAT THE HELL?!" She yelled as the two boys look at her then scowl at her direction and ran away.

"OI COME BACK HERE-!" Akari didn't really know what to do, she was panicking. Does she chase the two or worry about her ablazed deck?

Though, she did get a little bit of information on where they will be going. The underground fight place.

"Yeah." the two nodded their heads.

"Good, it's time to go to phase 2" The person smirked before sitting up from his chair, his face was covered by a shadow.

"it's about time I meet you again, Your majesty."
