Zane x Travis - Insecurities

I love this ship! ^~^ (thinking about making a Zanvis Book. tell me in the comments if I should!) Enjoy! ~Car

Zane's POV

I sit in my house, My Little Horsies blaring thru the speakers. "Come on, Flarity! We're going to be late!" Pinky Cake exclaims from the screen. A small smile appears on my face. If anyone were here, one... They would call me a six year old girl. And they would see me without my mask (Which would be embarrassing). A few minutes pass, then I hear a knock on my door. My heart starts pounding as I quickly grab the TV remote and slam my finger on the 'Off' button. Pinkie Cake and the gang disappear as the TV screen becomes a black abyss. I grab my mask and wrap it around my mouth, connecting it to my hoodie. "Coming!" I exclaim as I hop off of the couch. Once I get to the door and place my hand on the knob, I realize something horrifying. I left my ponies on the coffee table. I can see Travis standing in the doorway. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I yell as I run to the living room. I pick up the ponies one by one. I stuff them into a closet, "Sorry, Pinkie Cake." I apologize in a voice so quiet, it's almost a whisper. "Can I come in?" Travis' voice seems muffled. I make my way to the front door. I place my hand on the knob, twist it, then let the door fly open. "Uh... Yea." I say. Travis gives me a small smile, then steps into the hallway. I close the door behind him, then lead him to the living room. "So..." I start. "I came here because--" Travis starts, but gets interrupted by there being a knock on the door. Travis sighs, then makes his way to the door. I push past him and see both of my idiotic brothers in the doorway. I groan, then open the door. "Baby brother! Look who's in town!" Garroth exclaims, motioning to Vylad. "Garroth, you've told me Vylad's in town for the past week. I know." I state, my tone harsher than it was meant to be. Garroth's cheerful expression extinguishes. "I-I didn't mean it like that--" I start, trying to clear up. "So you don't want to acknowledge my existence?" Vylad teases. I roll my eyes, forcing a chuckle to stay in the back of my throat. Garroth chuckles. "It's been that way since highschool." I add. Vylad is the one rolling his eyes this time. I let both of my brothers in. I glance at Travis as I close the door. A look of disappointment is plastered on his face. I wonder why?

Travis' POV

I wanted to talk to Zane.. Alone. Garroth knew what I wanted to talk to Zane about and he was totally against it. That's why he dragged Vylad here. Garroth knew that Zane would let him and Vylad in. Garroth glances at me, a devilish smirk plastered on his face. It disappears quickly as Zane notices our stare-off. Zane shrugs it off, not taking much notice to it. "I-I better get going." I stutter. Garroth stands immediately, his legs brushing against the couch. "Me too. Vylad, come on." Garroth grabs Vylad and pulls him up. "But--" Vylad starts. Garroth cuts him off with a glare. Vylad nods scarcely, then Garroth drags Vylad and I out. "GET OFF OF ME." I growl. Garroth slams the door shut with his foot. Garroth's grip immediately disappears from Vylad and my forearm. Garroth glares at me, "Don't say anything to Zane." Garroth growls, then stomps away. "S-Sorry." Vylad apologizes. Before I can say anything, Vylad's already running back to Aphmau's house. I glance at my house, then at Zane's. Gotta take a risk, right? I pick my feet up and put one in front of the other, it growing into a swift walk. Without knocking, I place my hand on Zane's knob, twist it and walk in. I close the door and see a shadow jump. "Who's there!?" Zane asks, his voice having a timid tint in it. "Travis." I introduce simply. I hear Zane shuffle around (probably putting his mask back on). He walks into the small hallway. "Sorry about Garroth." Zane apologizes. "It's fine. He only wants the best for you." I smile softly. Zane returns the gesture. I bet he doesn't know that I can see it, but I can. You know when people's eyes narrow when they smile? Yea, that's how I can tell. "Zane, can we talk?" I ask. Zane nods, then leads me over to the couch. We sit down, then I stare into his ice blue eyes. "Why do you hide your face?" I question. Zane seems a bit taken aback at my question. "W-Well... When we were kids, Garroth accidentally threw a snowball at me, and it damaged my eye sight." Zane explains. I scoot closer to him and pull the hair behind his ear. The eye that he covers up is a pale, baby blue. Even know it's similar to his icy blue eye, it's still different. He wasn't kidding. "Why do you wear a mask?" I ask. "Insecurities that we don't need to go into." He states. I respect his privacy, but pull his mask down anyway. "I've wanted to do this for so long..." I mutter. "W-What!?" Zane exclaims. I cut him off by colliding our lips. He kisses back immediately. We stay like that for a couple seconds, then release. Zane has a shocked expression on his face. My eyes trail down to my hand, it still being on his mask. I release his mask immediately. A blush pours onto my face. Zane's face is the same, hot pink color mine is. Zane's eyes widen, then he grabs his mask and pulls it over his mouth. He pulls the hair out from his ear and places it over his eye. "S-Sorry!" I stutter nervously. I start to get up, but I feel a hand grip onto my wrist. I look down at the blue eyed boy. Zane pulls me back down, pulls his own mask down then connects our lips once again.
