Stars
A shaky breath left Dylan's mouth. His puff was almost silent. The brunette could hear his heart beating in his ears, it pounding out of his chest.
His lips pursed, his tear stained cheeks glistening in the moon's light.
He was sitting on a hill on the outskirts of downtown, the area completely rural and his car a ten minute walk away.
Dylan came out here to think. His fiancé was spinning through his head on an endless ring. It was as if a broken record was playing the same thing over and over and over again.
His laugh.
His smile.
His kind words.
All of that was gone.
It broke Dylan's heart every moment he thought of the man he once knew. To suddenly have that taken away from him was like having his heart ripped out of his chest mercilessly.
The heartbroken brunette dropped his head, looking away from the stars.
"I can't look at the stars.." He murmured. They reminded him of the night's him and Jackson would go stargazing in the middle of the night whenever the other couldn't sleep. They'd talk, kiss and relax with the other.
But Jackson isn't here anymore. He took a trip up the stairway of Heaven, leaving Dylan to walk to earth alone.
"Big Brother?" Frank questions, his brother coming up behind him, "How'd you find me?" Dylan asks, not daring to look behind himself.
"I saw your car leave. . . I followed you here. ." His brother sighs, "Ever since Jackson passed away, you've been randomly disappearing in the middle of the night. . . It makes me wonder where you are. Is this where you've been running off to?"
Another shaky breath left the five minute older brother's mouth. He nods in response.
The blunette places a hand on his brunette brother's shoulder, "It's going to be ok. . ." He assures.
"Hopefully. . ." That's the only word that left Dylan's mouth.
