Yami's P.O.V

I looked up at Mark, shock on his face. I shivered slightly before pushing myself out of his arms. "I will do it, Mark. You should..."

"No Aaron! I won't let you!" Mark yelled and I stepped back. Now I was the one shocked. Tears were filling his eyes, most of them trapped behind his glasses.

"M... Mark?"

"I won't trade you off Aaron, your my Yami. My Yamimash, and I don't want you gone." Mark said, trying to hold in the rest of his waterfall. I gazed at him as he looked up at me. "I don't want you to leave me..."

"Mark..." I whispered and I heard an impatient cough.

"So, is that your answer?" Dark asked. I glanced over at him, and then at Mark, who nodded.

"Yes. That's my answer."

It was silent in the room as I gazed into Mark's eyes, and then Dark started laughing. I felt him grab me from behind, covering my mouth before I could speak. Mark made a start to move, but Dark held a knife to my throat. Where did he get a knife from? Who knows...

"Why is he so important to you Mark? Surely one, little, incy-wincy life shouldn't bother you. After all, we are the same, you and I." Dark hissed, digging the blade into my neck, piercing the skin.

"Stop it Dark!" Mark yelled. Tears started to sting my eyes as I tried to stay still, so the blade wouldn't dig in any further.

"Why Mark? Why should I?" Dark taunted, laughing again. I saw Mark ball up his fist. I shook my head slightly as he walked up to Dark.

Wham.

Dark dropped the knife and staggered back, releasing me from his grip. I instantly ran to Mark, cowering in his arms again. "You.. Hit me!"

"Yay... Mark" Layla cheered and Dark glanced around, before glaring back at us.

"You hit me!"

"You deserved it." Mark retorted and I smiled up at him.

"Oh, I deserve it then." Dark said, pulling up his fist in front of his face. "Come on then Mark, protect Aaron."

"Don't Mark... I don't want you to get hurt." I whispered up to him, hiding even closer. Yeah, I'll admit it. Dark was terrifying me.

"Don't worry Aaron, I'll protect you." Mark said. He unwrapped me, stepping between me and Dark. "I won't let you harm Aaron."
