His proposition- Part 2
(2021 July 13☆)
Part 2
You felt like a dead body with how little you didn't move throughout the time you were dressed up and pampered in lavender perfume, your hands were instructed to stay raised in the air while the masked maid slipped the silken dress onto your body, clipping the buttons on your back.
You didn't like the thought of being touched by this complete stranger, and the maid must've noticed your discomfort since her actions sped up, you didn't feel her gloved fingers as they expertly avoided any area of skin.
You wanted to say something, to object, to speak, anything— but the moment you opened your mouth, a warning squeeze from the maid's hand on your arm interrupted. You sucked in your bottom lip, silence seemed to be the only way to survive here.
"Mam, I will lead you to the Master's quarters now." The maid said, after brushing your untamed hair and styling it into a glossy ribboned curl on your left shoulder. You were too caught up staring at your reflection beneath your feet in the marble floor to notice the maid had already left the room.
When you had regained your senses, you dashed out the opened door, thankfully catching up to her long strides as she stood waiting in the corridor. "Please do not touch anything on the way, not even your fingerprints." She advised curtly, her arms uniformed in a fold behind her back as she continues her walk, her ghostly footsteps beside your soft thuds echoed through the marble halls.
There were no windows in sight, you studied each and every hall when passing by with the maid. You ransacked your brain, the place held no hints nor clues to where exactly you were. It couldn't be a hotel, the floors had no carpeting nor was there any decor to indicate you were at a party. And it couldn't have been the underground, everything looked too pristine and clean.
In conclusion, you couldn't figure out where you were but you did managed to peep at the other more decorated halls when the maid wasn't watching, and found some familiar jewel encrusted bouquets in a vase, though it was a vague shape in the distance, you were dead set sure the bouquet was from the same shop you once stole from.
Which meant the owner of this place was either filthy rich or owns the famous Jewelry franchise... Or a wealthy bachelor who could afford those ridiculously expensive bouquets. Regardless of how little information you got, It has to mean something! Maybe... however your brain had given up long ago and refused to function again.
Probably the works of whatever these people had been feeding you.
You groaned thinking, still following the maid around until she abruptly stopped infront of a large door, sharply with her knuckles, knocked two full knocks before turning around. You almost bumped into her but manage to steady yourself in time.
"We are here, Mam... The Master will see you now," she gestured to the door stiffly. You nodded, chewing on the soft inside of your cheek as a distraction as your hand reaches forwards and pushes the door open to a dark space.
There was barely much you could see except for the textile fur floormat and the vague shape of a desk far ahead in the darkness shrouded room. You carefully stepped in, first your right foot, then left foot, and when you reached further in– out of nowhere the light source from behind you thinned and disappeared with the slamming of the door making you yelp.
Your heart raced even faster, booming as you could see nothing. You were alone, in the dark, in this unfamiliar room.
