(Squidlox's POV)

I hungrily slashed at the wooden dummy I had been attacking with my sword, hitting it again and again until there wasn't an inch of it that hadn't felt the sharpness of the sword's blade.

"Very good, Squidlox, very good!" Squillium applauded from nearby. He had been watching my training lesson, and I could tell he was very happy with my skills.

"Thanks Squillium. Hey, do you have another dummy I could use?" I asked him as I looked back at the beaten log. He nodded.

"Of course. Gaurds!" Squillium said. Two guards ran in, and saluted to Squillium. "Bring in another dummy." He instructed. The squids nodded, and left the room.

"You know Squillium, as much as I like using a dummy, I really want to get my hands on some human flesh. Killing that other prisoner was so much fun, I would love to do it again." I exclaimed, running my finger along the sharp edges of the sword. Squillium chuckled.

"Don't worry Squidlox, you'll get your time. You just must be patience. And, if it starts to take to long, I can always just send out my men to capture them and bring them here."

"Why don't you just do it now then? I mean, why wait for them to come if you can just send out your men and we can finish them off quickly?" I explained. Squillium looked at me, surprised.

"Well, well, well. Strong AND curious, I see. I must've gotten a better bargain than what I thought. I understand where you are coming from, Squidlox, but we must wait. My men still need to be prepared. Even though they won't have a chance against you, we still must be prepared for the worst." Squillium explained, and I nodded understandingly. I guess being extremely brave and strong does have its downsides, like having to wait for action.

"For now, just practice more on that dummy. I want to see the skills you have, if any, with your tentacles." Squillium instructed. I nodded, and began. I ran at the block of wood, and with my tentacles grabbed it right around the neck. I pulled it off of its stand, and it cracked into two.

"Well done Squidlox. I think your done for tonight." Squillium said. I didn't say anything, but merely stood still, looking down at the block of wood.

"Squidlox?" Squillium asked, walking up next to me. He wrapped one of his tentacles around my waist comfortingly. Following my gaze, I think he realized I was staring at the dummy. "What's the matter Squidlox?" He asked.

"I-I don't know. This dummy, it reminds me of someone." I said, staring at the block closer. There were glasses carved into it, along with an amulet, and a shirt with a large X on it. The block of wood had a mouth that was chiseled into a growl with vampire teeth. I could hear Squillium laugh nervously.

"Well, of course he looks familiar! That's our arch enemy, Sky! We chisel his face into blocks so young squid and can identify him quickly in battle. The guards must have accidentally brought you a kid training one. I'll talk to them later. But, it still gets the message through to you I guess-once he falls, it's easy to take over. Anyways, Come on, let's get something to eat. You look thinner than a blade of seaweed." He said, frantically ushering me out. I looked down at him, confused. He looked back at me, and quickly shoved me again. I stumbled, but stood up quickly, and didn't question it any further.
