Video Games
Evan wakes up, stretching and groaning. A smile awakes with him. He's so groggy he doesn't realize he's in Jonathan's bed. A sweet smell floats by his nose. He flips the heavy silk blanket over him. Peeking around the screen separating the bedroom from the rest of the studio, Evan spots his employer cooking him breakfast. Jonathan catches the peeking Evan, he chuckles and asks, "You like blueberry waffles?" Evan walks out, his yellow shirt now wrinkled and his dark hair everywhere. Jonathan laughs at his sleep appearance, "Good morning. The older man's voice is smooth, but not too smooth, like the syrup he was currently pouring on to the waffles. "Where'd you sleep?" The question slips out of the sleepy Asian's mouth. Brown eyes swim in the ocean colored ones. Jonathan tips his head towards the fold out couch. "Oh." Evan nods and fixes his hair sitting down at the small dining table. "So, what's first on the agenda?" Jonathan questions while sliding Evan a plate of waffles. He only shrugs, "Photos?" They both quietly chuckle at the comment. "I'm not only known for merely taking photos Evan. I do carry some type of camera with me all the time though." They chuckle again, this time at Jonathan's comment. Evan eats and remembers how much fun they had last night. The last thing Evan remembers was Jonathan lying him down on to his own bed. "Why'd you move me to your bed?" Jonathan's eyes widen and he sets his fork down. He smiles, "You fell asleep like a child in a car on a long drive. Your neck would have hurt the next morning." This generosity made Evan blush, "Huh, thanks." They both continue eating in silence; not only eat but think. Evan wonders if he should straight up ask the man if he's Delirious. The man barely swore, which was a big giveaway. It wasn't enough for Evan's satisfaction. There is another test he could try.
"Maybe we could hang out before we start shooting. Hm?" Evan suggests to the man sitting across from him. Jonathan grabs the empty dishes with a huge smile on his face, "Sure. What'd you have in mind?"
A daring smirk slips across the brown-eyed man, "Video games."
Jonathan sets the two pieces of china into the sink and Evan starts up the PlayStation 2. The startup noise takes Jonathan back a lot. He smiles and remembers the night he'd spend with his brother and Luke, playing GTA: San Andreas, or Vice City. After his brother Samuel would go to work and Luke had to go home, he'd play Silent Hill. The second on specifically. James Sunderland; the man who lost his wife years before getting a letter from her. And the pyramid head, that son of a bitch. The reminiscing thoughts really bring Jonathan back to his high school years. He remembers how he started his love for photography. Photography I. The best damn class he'd ever taken. It was his only escape from the shit at home he had to deal with. Being the youngest child didn't really help, and then the cherry on top... being a homosexual in 90s wasn't really appreciated. Everyone thought you had AIDS or you'd touch every single man inappropriately. "Jonathan?" A soft voice takes the 33-year-old man out of his seldom dark past.
"Are you alright?" Evan's voice soothes the darkness in Jonathan's mind. His feelings for his employee grew stronger every day. "You ready to play?" Jonathan finally speaks. Jonathan picks the game Silent Hill 2 and Evan loses his shit. Jonathan knew he wasn't fond of playing video games. Just this time he was able to actually see the owl's reactions to certain things. He'd always pull away from his mic and cover his mouth when he was scared. Or he would start breathing heavy and sorta panting. Jonathan loved this.
"What the fuck is that? What are those sirens!?"
The blue eyes light up with giddiness, "It's the pyramid head!"
"The what?!" The brown eyes are glued to the television, "Ohmygod!" Evan's voice is a quieter pitch. This is another thing Jonathan noticed. Should he tell Evan that he was the H2O Delirious? He loved teasing him though.
"I just want to find my dead wife and LEAVE!" Evan screeches as the creature comes across the screen. He drags the longsword behind him. "Is he going to penetrate me? Cause I'll stay if he gives me some lovin' and my ghost wife can watch." Jonathan wheezes, another signature laugh of the clown himself. This drops another hint for Evan. "I'd love any masked man to fuck me in the ass with a long sword." This causes the pale man to stop laughing and look at Evan weird. Evan chuckles. What's funny is the comment he said, and the fact he made Jonathan blush with his risque remark.
"It's not a mask actually; it's his physical appearance." Jonathan corrects his unintelligent friend. He seldom disliked what he said, but also wanted something else to happen. "This game isn't as scary as I thought it'd be. It's sorta like playing a scary map on GMOD." The taller man pushes off the couch and cracks his knuckles, "You want something really scary, Mr. Fong?"
"Yeah!" Evan pauses the game and stands up, as the cool kids call it "squaring up" with Jonathan. It was a little funny because Evan was a little shorter than Jonathan. Their eyes lock and the mood changes from daring to desire. Jonathan suddenly wants to kiss the man. They merely met. Well, that wasn't true. They've known each other for a good 8 years? Jonathan didn't do the math. He knows it was a decent amount of time; they both do. Jonathan leans in by the slightest. Evan gets the nerve to move closer as well. They inch closer and closer. Evan stares at Jonathan's pink, plump lips. Their lips brush against each other quickly. Jonathan moves to Evan's ear and whispers, "Outlast." Jonathan wasn't going to actually kiss him. That was not appropriate for their positions. Evan wishes he would've leaned in and kissed him as hard as he fucking could. "Yeah," is all Evan can say at the moment.
A few minutes later they're both in the same position as before the whole "almost kiss" thing. Evan is now closer to Jonathan, as he's played the game multiple times and his friend hasn't. The brown eyes are a mix of curiousness and fear as he searches for the generators, trying not to reveal himself to the priest chasing him around. He hits the generator quick and hops into the nearest locker; scared out of his life. Jonathan loves this look on his model's face, it brewed an idea in his head for their next photo shoot. Evan continues running through the basement in the video game. The pale hands lead the older man to the closet; he needs to pick his model's outfit for later today. A little thought passes through the raccoon, "Wonder if Mr. VanossGaming is into drag?"
