Chapter 8

Mina's POV

"You left it." I answered and handed him his phone, but he just stared at it, looking confused. "Seulgi called, by the way. Call her back." The annoyance that Seulgi left me earlier is still here, but it's not my intention to answer him that way. I didn't want to be sarcastic, but I think my mouth has a mind of its own, so I accidentally spilled those words. My hand hurt as I'm waiting for him to get his phone from me, so I grabbed his empty hand and placed it there. I passed by him and went to our room instead.

I changed my clothes and put make up on my face because I'm going to Nayeon and Jin to ask for advice or something like that. I wanted to calm myself down as well because whenever I remember my conversation with Seulgi earlier, it makes my blood boil.

Once I'm finished with everything, I went out and saw Jimin. His eyebrows are crossed and he's talking to someone over the phone. I don't know what has gotten into me because I just grabbed it from him and threw it on the floor. I had a feeling that it was Seulgi that he's talking to. He looked at me, puzzled of what I just did.

"Mina? What did you just do?" He asked and picked his broken phone from the floor. He tried opening it, but it won't start up. He looked at me unbelievably, "Why did you just do that?" I do not know why, too, honestly. I just had feeling that it might be Seulgi. "If you're thinking that it's Seulgi, it's not. I was talking to my boss." I suddenly felt shameful and guilty when he admitted the truth.

Still, with a straight face and cold voice, I said, "I'm going to buy you a new one." I grabbed my purse quickly and went out. Now you must buy Jimin a new phone. I called Nayeon and Jin and asked them if they could go with me to the mall to buy my husband a new cellular phone.

"Why?" Jin asked, but I just told them to go with me and I'll explain things to them later. They agreed and said to meet up at the coffee shop.

"You're late." Jin said with a grumpy tone as he crosses both arms and legs. I used my handkerchief to dry my face since it got all sweaty. It's hot outside and I forgot to bring an umbrella with me when I walked towards the mall.

I sat with them, "It's traffic and I'm just 15 seconds late. I knew my time." But they stood up and took their things with them. "Where are you guys going?" I asked.

"You said that we're going to buy your husband a new phone, remember?" Nayeon said and I saw how Jin rolled his eyes in a sassy way. "Let's go!" I was left with no choice but to follow them. We went to different phone stores and checked the latest models.

"Why are you buying your husband a phone? I'm sure he has enough money to buy one." Jin said as he plays with the phone that is on display. He opened the camera and took selcas. "Oh, look, Nayeon! I'm prettier than you!" He said with a wide grin on his face while showing his cringey selcas to Nayeon.

"I threw his phone earlier." I said and looked around the store. A salesman walked towards me and asked me what kind of phone do I want. "An anti-Seulgi phone." I whispered and took one. I reviewed its features and faced the salesman.

He smiled shyly, "A-Ah, we don't have that kind of phone." I believe he heard what I said once I heard his answer. I smiled and just thanked him. I notice Jin and Nayeon rushing towards me,

"Wait, what?" Jin asked.

"What?" I asked him back.

With crossed eyebrows, Nayeon queried in a low voice so that the others won't hear us, "Why did you throw his phone?" I sighed and walked out of the store. I entered a different store this time and searched for a phone. "Yah! Did you hear me, Myoui Mina?" I turned to her and nodded.

"I found out that he's dating someone else." I answered and it made them shut up. They're in a state of shock for sure, that's why they fell silent. "I had to buy him a new one, so that girl will stop calling him from time to time." I called a saleslady to explain me the features of their latest phone model.

"How did you know that he's dating someone?" Jin asked seriously. It's weird to hear him say thing seriously because he has always been this sassy mood maker among us three. "Did you see them dating?" I told the saleslady that I'm going to purchase that phone and waited for her to finish everything before giving it to me.

"His lady showed up out of nowhere while we're having a date. She introduced herself as Seulgi and said that she and my husband are dating." I explained. An assistant told us to sit down for a while as we wait the transaction to finish.

"Oh my god! This is exciting! What did you do to that girl?" Nayeon said in excitement and clapped like a little girl. She stared at me with that wide grin on her face.

"Did you pull her hair? Did you slap her? Oh my gosh, you should've slapped her! How did Jimin react?" Jin asked quickly and just like Nayeon, he's waiting on what happened next.

"I told her that we have to go already." I answered and both of their shoulders fell. It's far from what they expected me to do. "She also called Jimin's phone earlier and I answered it."

"This is interesting! Did you cuss at her? Did you throw some harsh words and called her a bitch?" I shook my head and they rolled their eyes. "As expected, you didn't do those." Nayeon crossed her arms and after a little while, the saleslady handed me the shopping bag and my credit card. I thanked her and we all exited the shop.

"I told her that it's me who answered his phone and ended the call right away." Jin suddenly stopped from walking and applauded like he's so impressed of something. "Hey, let's go."

"Now that, Nayeon, is how you deal with a mistress if you're the one and only Myoui Mina." They both laughed and it made me giggle. We all headed to the department store because Nayeon said she's going to go shopping for some clothes. Jin agreed and said that he's going to go shopping as well. Since I don't have any business to do inside the mall anymore, I bid my good bye to them and decided to go back to the condo.

Jimin's POV

When Mina left, I just stared at the door and then my gaze went back to my broken phone. The screen is completely broken and when I tried starting it up once more, it won't. It's just a piece of junk right now. The last thing that me and my boss talk about is that he's asking me to go to his office and gave him reports. I rejected him three times already and reasoned out that I took a leave from work today because of my personal issues, but he threatened me that he's going to fire me without hesitation once I reject him again.

I have no choice but to go to him and leave the condo. I'm afraid that he's going to fire me. I dressed up, took my bag and was about to go when I smelled something coming out from the kitchen. There's a bowl of ramen sitting on the kitchen counter. It made my stomach grumble, so I decided to sit for a while and eat it.

I'm certain that it's Mina who made it because she was unable to clean the pots and other kitchen utensils she used. She cooked it for me, meaning that she still cares for me though she acts coldly towards me. I smiled and finished my food quickly. I washed everything in the kitchen and decided to leave already, but before leaving, I knocked on our neighbor's door.

"Oh, hey, Jimin." He smiled and I smiled in return.

"Can you please tell Mina when she gets home that I'm just going to work?" He nodded and I thanked him. I headed towards the company right after our conversation.

After finishing all the reports for four straight hours, I went to my boss' office to give it to him. Once I knocked, he told me to come in. He's glaring at me while his hands are interlocked. Scared, I placed it on his desk with my trembling hands. He's been asking for these reports for the whole day already and for sure, he's just trying to longer his patience.

"You may go. Thank you." He said, so I turned around and headed outside when he said something before I flee from his sight. "Do not ever make me wait for six hours again, Mr. Park."

"Y-Yes, sir." I stuttered and went out. I sighed in relief once I stepped out of his office. I felt like I'm in hell a while ago because my boss looked like Satan.

I went back to my office, but as soon as I entered, I saw Seulgi sitting on my swivel chair. She's smiling devilishly, as usual. I told her that I'm going to stop seeing her from now on because I know that Mina will be mad and hurt again once she sees us. She stood up from my swivel chair and walked towards me.

"I missed you, baby." She kissed me on my lips and clung her arms around my neck. I pushed her gently and asked:

"Seulgi, why are you here?" I asked her, but she just chuckled like an evil witch. She really is an evil witch after all. She once again clung her arms around my neck, tiptoed and bit my ear. I know that she's trying to allure me, but I stood still and did my best to resist her.

"Let's just enjoy this." She says as she takes my coat off. I held her hand to stop her from what she's doing. "What?" She asked and chuckled. "This will be fast."

"No, stop what you're doing." I told her and threw her hands away from me. I wore my coat back and started to fix my things, but she's persistent on attracting me. She kept on touching my hands, hugging me from the back and kissing my neck endless times. "How many times will I have to tell you to stop this, Seulgi?" Once I turned to her, she invaded my mouth.

Mina's POV

The lights are turned off as soon as I arrived at our condo. I opened the lights on and searched for Jimin. My heart is pounding really fast when I can't see a sign of him. I started to get nervous, but it was all washed away when I saw a clean and empty bowl on the rack. It seems like he ate the ramen that I cooked for him earlier. Unconsciously, I smiled, but I'm still worried when I realized that Jimin is not here. I started doubting that he might be dating with Seulgi, but he assured to me this morning that he's not going to meet up with her.

I heard three knocks on the door, so I rushed towards it and assumed that Jimin is the one who knocked, but when I opened it, my shoulders fell when I saw our neighbor.

"Yes?" I asked him.

He smiled casually, "Jimin told me to tell you that he just went to work." My face lit up and thanked him for telling it to me. "You're welcome, Mina." I thanked him once again and decided to go to his office. I stopped by a nearby restaurant to buy dinner for the both of us. I'm excited to see him because I'm missing him so bad. It just has been some hours when we last talked to each other, but I miss him already.

As soon as I reached the building, I was greeted by the guard outside. He knows me because he always sees me visit Jimin here before. A lot of employees greeted me as well as I walked through the lobby. I rode the elevator and when I reached the floor where Jimin's office is located, his secretary stopped me from opening the door. She told me that Jimin is still very busy, but I know that he would stop whatever he's doing whenever I want to see him. And so, I opened the door and was petrified when I saw Seulgi and Jimin.
