Chapter 12

Omniscient

Everyone's heartbeats stopped when they heard Jimin's voice. Mina was surprised to hear him speak easily as if he didn't have any injuries; as if it was very easy for him to speak, as if it was so easy for him to call his mistress's name in front of his wife. His head hurted a little, causing him to groan a bit.

Seulgi stopped by the doorway and breathed heavily, "W-What?" She asked, her grip tightening on the doorknob. More of her tears streamed through her cheeks.

Jimin was hesitating to thank her for rushing him to the hospital. He's scared that if he's going to say anything more, Mina will leave him. She's staring at him, waiting for his next sentence. She was praying that he won't tell anything anymore for it might just break her heart more.

"N-Nothing..." He said under his breath and looked away. Mina saw how Jimin averted his eyes and gulp. Her glance went to Seulgi who is still standing by the doorway.

Seulgi's shoulder fell instantly, "O-Okay..." She whispered and walked away. She closed the door and sobbed as she was making her way to the elevator. It wasn't easy for her to let go of the person that she loved the most all her life years. That's why she risked being a mistress of Jimin, yet it just crushed her dignity and heart even more. There's a part of her that regrets it since she hurted a lot of people, especially Mina, but there's also a part of her that doesn't. She cherished her moments with the married man knowing that she's hurting his wife.

Meanwhile, inside that hospital room, Mina stood still at the end of Jimin's hospital bed, beside her friends. She doesn't know how she would feel anymore after seeing Seulgi's tears. Seulgi's hurting yet she took a blind eye. Jimin is the real jerk to start with, yet he's also the same guy who she fell in love with that she can't ever let go.

Jimin was hesitating to approach Mina. He doesn't know how he can face his wife; the woman who loved him purely, faithfully and truthfully. He has a question inside his mind:

Are you going to leave me, too?

The answer must be yes, but knowing Mina's personality? She would not. It would be so stupid of Mina if she would actually say no.

He gathered all the courage inside his heart to ask that question to Mina. She keeps on staring at him, wondering why he isn't saying anything at all. She knew it would be hard for him to say anything after what happened. Imagine having your wife and your mistress in the same room as you. World War III might happen.

How am I going to unlove you? Mina wondered. Even though she wanted, she can't. How can she unfeel something that she already felt? How can she deserve something like this? What had she done to be replaced by a girl from Jimin's past? What did she do to deserve crap in her life when she just loved and married Jimin?

"Are you going to leave me?" Jimin asked, his eyes turned away from Mina's gaze. Mina has all the rights to say yes after what happened after all, yet he's still hoping for her to say no.

Mina sighed, "No, I wouldn't." Jin and Nayeon's faces are unexplained. They wanted to laugh at Mina's stupidity. Jimin's head tilted to her direction with a relieved and surprised expression. If they were her, they would've kicked his ass and leave him, but Mina is not that kind of person. She's an intelligent lady, but her brain went upside down for Jimin. "I'm going back home." She said with her faint voice which made Jimin's heart sore. She's still going to leave me... He thought and held back his tears. "I'll pack some clothes and food for you. I'll be back in a few." He glanced at his wife, but she did not even look back at him when she exited the room. Jimin was left with her friends that night.

Mina, just like what she said, packed some clothes for her husband when she went back home. Her heart is still hurting whenever she thinks back of that scene she saw earlier. She can clearly remember how Seulgi showed up out of nowhere when they were in a date. The scene inside the office earlier is still stuck inside her head. She never knew that Jimin would have done something to her specially that they're newly weds.

For the nth time, she cried. Her tears can't just stop from flowing because whenever she thinks of Jimin and Seulgi together, her heart hurts. There's no cure to this heartache. She said to herself sighingly. She quickly wiped her tears, thinking that Jimin might be hungry since he hadn't eaten yet. After packing some clothes, she proceeded with cooking up some simple food for her cheating husband.

She was on her way to the hospital then when she saw Seulgi inside a car. A lot of things had happened already when she left, but why is she still there? Even though Mina wanted to push her away from her husband, she just thought of getting the lunchboxes to him.

Jimin's head was downcast when Mina came. Jin wasn't there anymore, so Nayeon was the only one left with her husband. "Nayeon-ah, where's Jin?" asked Mina when she placed the bags on the floor. Jimin did not even take a glance at her since he's guilty and embarrassed. He doesn't want to be so shameless, so he remained at that kind of position.

"He went out to get us some coffee." Mina just nodded and sat beside Nayeon. She wanted to ask Jimin, but she can't seem to find the right words. She doesn't know what to ask either, so she decided to be quiet, but her mouth spoke as if it has its own mind.

"Does it still hurt?" She asked which stunned Jimin, so he quickly stole a glance and looked away eventually because he can't make eye contact. "Your wounds and bruises, I mean."

Jimin was confused. His pupils are looking everywhere. "Y-Yes, it still does."

"If it wasn't for Seulgi, you won't get those wounds--"

"Mina, it's not her fault." Mina and Nayeon were both astounded when theye hear Jimin defending Seulgi. She wanted to laugh because she thought that this is not the right time to be taking sides.

"What did you say?" Mina's voice raised a little and leaned closer to him, as if she didn't hear what he said. It's more like giving him a second chance to correct his sentence, so he won't die in Mina's hands that night.

Jimin sighed before saying anything first, "I said that it wasn't Seulgi's fault." Mina's ears became red when Jimin really repeated what he said. She can't confirm if her husband is half idiot or not, but it seems like he is in her eyes. "It's entirely my fault. She doesn't have anything to do with my bruises. She even sent me here, right?"

"If you haven't been around her, no bullshit will happen." She hissed, emphasizing the curse word in her sentence. Nayeon stood up when she saw Jin opening the door. They both decided to give the couple some private time to talk about their situation.

"It's my fault, Mina. I'm to blame to every thing that happened between us." Jimin said, still defending Seulgi. "Leave her alone already. She did not want this, too."

"Why are you taking her side when your wife is in front of you?" Mina retorted, but it just gave him a headache. His wife couldn't seem to get the point. "If you were to choose, will you choose me or her?"

"Of course, it's you." His voice seemed calmer and more certain.

"Even if we're not married?" She added. "If we weren't married yet, will you fight for your love for her or decide to learn to love me instead?"

Jimin smirked and shook his head, thinking that Mina's questions are ridiculous. "You're not getting it."

"Why are you avoiding my question, then?"

"There's no point, Mina." He said and heaved a deep breath. Their conversation finished like that and no one wanted to make a sound anymore.

They had a rough day. There's been a lot of things that happened that day and it will take them some time to accept each other's explanations. It's better for them to let it go first.

Few days had passed already and Jimin was allowed to go home and continue his daily work. In those days, he hasn't been talking to Mina well. They kept on arguing, throwing insignificant retorts and scoffs to each other, and forgetting that they're a married couple.

Both of them are very distant from each other because of their prides, but Jimin couldn't resist. He made the biggest mistake to her, so it must only be fair if he apologizes first.

That morning, Mina was at work. She's drowning herself with stress, so she might be distracted from what happened. Jimin called her, but she wasn't answering, so he decided to just go to her office. He might get thrown out, but he's confident that he will make it to her office. He dropped by a flower shop and a restaurant since it's lunch time.

The situation was hard. He can't get in through the guards even if he begged in his knees. He was begging for the guards to let him in when he saw his wife near the glass doors, so he yelled her name, "Mina! Mina! Mina!" His voice was so loud that it was impossible if Mina wouldn't hear his shouts. She stopped chatting with her co-worker and looked for the voice. Her eyes then caught Jimin by the doors. It would be more embarrassing if she would just pass by him, so she decided to walk towards him.

Jimin made a smile, but she did not. "What are you doing here?" She asked, eyebrows furrowed hard.

"I-I came to visit you. I brought lunch for the two of us." He was smiling, trying to hide his nervousness in front of her.

"I already ate lunch." She answered, so his smile faded, but he tried to keep it in. "I'm busy." She heartlessly added.

He made a gulp, "O-Okay. I'll see you later at our unit." His heart was torn apart from Mina's cold words, but he remained calm. He's sure that she might be having a bad day due to work. He thought all of the possibilities why Mina became cold and wished that she might change soon because he can't take it anymore.

It was a little late when Mina arrived  at their building. Jimin felt that she's already there, so he took a look from the glass windows. He saw her getting off a car. Not a cab, but a car, which led him into thinking bad situations. He saw how Mina smiled at the man who opened the car's door for her and it made him instantly jealous. He was praying that it may only be a dream, but what he was seeing right now was no dream.

Mina's POV

"Thank you for giving me a ride, Bam." I smiled at Bambam and was about to walk away from him, but he held my hand and pulled me towards him, causing our lips to touch and my cheeks to red.

I laughed nervously, "I'm going." I told him and walked faster, so he won't pull me again. My heart was racing when I arrived in front of our unit. I quickly pressed the doorbell and waited for Jimin to open up. When he did, he looked like some sort of monster. He was mad.
