YN stood outside the conference room, her heart racing as Yuna, Mr. Kim's ever-efficient secretary, led her through the sleek, glass-walled hallway.

The subtle click of her heels echoed in the quiet space as they approached the meeting room. Yuna gave her a reassuring smile, a practiced calmness in her voice as she spoke.

"You’ll do just fine," Yuna said, her tone confident yet gentle.

YN nodded, but the nerves in her stomach were impossible to shake. This meeting with Mr. Kim felt crucial, but what weighed heavier on her was the subtle curiosity about him that had been building since the first time they met.

His quiet yet commanding presence had left her both intrigued and nervous.

The door to the conference room opened, and she stepped in. As her eyes swept over the table, they landed on him. Mr. Kim was already seated, his back straight, his eyes fixed on a few documents in front of him.

He didn’t look up as she entered, his focus seemingly entirely on the task at hand.

YN took a deep breath and made her way to the front of the room, setting up her presentation. As she did, she noticed how the others in the room casually greeted her, but Mr. Kim remained absorbed in his work. He barely spared a glance in her direction. His indifference stung more than she’d expected.

The meeting began, and YN did her best to concentrate on the slides she’d prepared. Her voice was steady as she presented, but the lack of attention from Mr. Kim gnawed at her.

Every time she spoke, he simply nodded, his gaze fixed firmly on the projector screen. It was as though she was invisible to him, just another part of the meeting, another face in the room.

The disappointment hit her in waves. She’d imagined this moment differently — she’d hoped for at least a small acknowledgment from him, something that showed he was listening, that he was paying attention.

But instead, his focus remained unwaveringly on the agenda, leaving her feeling insignificant.

Finally, the meeting wrapped up. As the others began gathering their things and leaving the room, YN stood and moved to do the same. But just as she was about to exit, Mr. Kim’s voice stopped her.

"YN, stay for a moment," he said, his tone unexpectedly calm.

Her pulse skipped. She wasn’t sure what to expect, but her body reacted immediately — a mix of nerves and excitement rushed through her.

She paused, then slowly nodded and returned to her seat, her heart pounding in her chest. The room was now empty except for the two of them.

A tense silence settled over the space as she sat back down. YN’s eyes flicked to Mr. Kim, who was still standing at the head of the table. There was something in the air now, a subtle shift that had replaced the formal energy of the meeting.

She couldn’t place it, but it felt different. Charged. His gaze was fixed on her now, no longer distant, and she could feel the weight of his attention pressing down on her.

"You seemed a little disappointed earlier," he said, his voice lower than before, his words carefully chosen.

He noticed.

YN looked up at him, surprised by the shift in his tone. She swallowed hard, trying to maintain her composure. "I... just thought you’d be more engaged," she said quietly, her gaze dropping to her hands for a moment. "I mean, it was important... for me."

The air between them felt thick now. The walls of the room seemed to shrink as he took a step closer. YN’s breath caught in her throat as he slowly walked toward her. His presence seemed to fill the space, making everything else fade away.

"You wanted more from me?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. There was something in his words, something that made her heart beat faster. She nodded, unsure of what to say.

Before she could respond, he was standing right in front of her. She could feel the heat radiating off of him, and every inch of her body was acutely aware of his proximity.

For a long moment, neither of them spoke. It was as though the world outside had stopped, and it was just the two of them in that room.

Then, without warning, he stepped even closer, his body now inches from hers. YN’s breath caught as his hand brushed against her arm. The touch was light, but it felt like electricity, a spark that made her entire body react.

"You want me to pay attention," he said, his voice a little more urgent now, and she could see the shift in his expression — the intensity in his eyes. "But maybe you're the one who isn’t paying attention."

YN’s pulse raced, her body pressing instinctively against the cool wall behind her as he moved even closer.

The tension in the room was almost unbearable now. She could feel his breath on her skin, his presence overwhelming in the best way possible.

"Mr. Kim…" she whispered, but her voice faltered as he stepped closer, his hand now resting lightly on the wall beside her, trapping her gently but firmly between him and the surface.

He leaned in, his lips dangerously close to her ear. "Tell me," he murmured, his breath hot against her skin. "Do you want me to show you just how much attention I can give?"

Her heart hammered in her chest, her mind spinning, but she couldn’t pull away. His proximity, the heat between them, it was all too much. His voice was like a command, and before she knew it, she found herself responding without thinking.

The air in the room had thickened with the tension between YN and Mr. Kim. He was so close now, the space between them practically nonexistent. YN's heart raced, every instinct telling her to stay, to let the heat between them build. Mr. Kim’s eyes locked onto hers, dark and intense, as he leaned in closer, his presence overwhelming.

“You wanted more attention from me,” he murmured, his voice low and rich with something unspoken. “I think I can give it to you.”

YN's breath hitched as he closed the gap, his breath warm against her skin. Her pulse quickened, each second feeling like it stretched out longer than the last.

She could feel his body just inches from hers, the weight of his gaze making everything else fade into the background.

“But I think you’ll have to let me show you,” he whispered, his voice sending a shiver down her spine.

Every part of her was acutely aware of him, but just as the moment seemed to reach its peak, the sharp sound of a knock echoed through the door.

“Mr. Kim?” came Yuna’s voice, crisp and polite from the other side. “The project site is ready for inspection. Shall we head over now?”

YN’s breath faltered, and she immediately pulled her focus away from Mr. Kim, her body unconsciously stepping back, though her heart still raced.

Mr. Kim froze, his expression shifting to one of mild frustration, though his eyes remained locked on hers for a moment longer. His body stayed close, but the electric charge between them seemed to fizzle out just as quickly as it had ignited.

Yuna’s voice came again, more insistent this time. “Mr. Kim, the site... we need to leave now.”

With a reluctant sigh, Mr. Kim slowly pulled back, stepping away from YN and creating the much-needed space between them. He turned to the door, straightening himself out, before addressing Yuna.

“I’ll be there in a moment,” he replied, his tone now detached, almost like a switch had been flipped. The moment that had felt so charged was now gone, replaced by the cool professionalism that Mr. Kim always exuded.

YN stood there, her heart still pounding, trying to make sense of the sudden shift in energy. Yuna, ever the professional, stood at the door, her posture straight and confident. She gave a quick glance toward Mr. Kim, then to YN, before speaking in her usual formal tone.

“Shall we go?” Yuna asked politely, ushering the situation back to business as if nothing had happened.

Mr. Kim looked at Yuna, then at YN, his expression unreadable, before giving a nod. “Yes, let’s go.”

YN followed them, trying to steady her breath, her mind a blur. The heat from the earlier moment still lingered in her chest, but the space between them had been filled by Yuna’s interruption.

She couldn’t shake the feeling that something more was just waiting to unfold — but for now, she had no choice but to follow along in silence.
