Zen: Since the dawn of time, good has battled the forces of evil. The vicious witch Rita Repulsa and her giant monsters waged war with the good-natured galactic sage, Zordon. Their 2,000-year war finally ended when Rita zapped him into a time warp, but not before Zordon managed to lock her up in a..... space dumpster?

Ziana: Yes, apparently that thing is a "space dumpster", or to put it more accurately, a "galactic recycling bin." Uh, however, Zordon knew it was only a matter of time before Rita escaped to conquer Earth once more.

Zen: Good thing Zordon had thousands of years to come up with a fool-proof plan. He could summon the five greatest warriors from around the galaxy to defend the planet, or.....

Zordon: Teleport to us five overbearing and over-emotional humans.

Alpha 5: No! Not that! Not teenagers!

Kira: That plan is asinine! But somehow, it worked! Zordon granted five teenagers the ability to draw power from a dimension called the Morphin Grid. This molecular transmutation turns them into superhumans with access to mighty mechanical beasts called Zords, becoming the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Zen: Each Ranger has their own Zords, but whenever Rita makes maker monsters grow, they can combined the them into the one and only, Megazord!

Kira: The Mighty Morphin team has obtained Zords and Megazords throughout their 3 seasons, excluding Might Moprhin' Alien Rangers cause they're turned into kids, but today we're focusing on their first and original, the Dino Megazord. This is a combination of the Tyrannosaurus, Pterodactyl, Mastodon, Triceratops and Saber-Toothed Tiger Dinozords.

Zen: The Dino Megazord can switch between its Tank and Battle Modes. In Tank Mode, it can fire lasers from its two cannons from the Mastodon and each Zord can fire eye lasers as well. But it's bread and butter is in its Battle Mode. It can use martial arts via the pilots, fire energy lasers from it eyes or head, launch fire balls and use its iconic weapons, the Mastodon Shield and the Power Sword.

Ziana: The Mastodon Shield can block most attacks and can freezes foes on the spot with its ice powers. The Power Sword, on the other hand, is the perfect monster slaying weapon on its hand. It can absorb kinetic energy and dish it back as well as recharge the Megazord when it's low on energy. And as a bonus, it orbits the Earth when they don't use it.

Kira: Of course, the wouldn't be possible without the Morphin Grid, which all Power Ranger teams draw their powers from and the Zords are no different. However, while the Rangers can scale with each other, it's debatable whether their Megazords can do the same given each team has upgraded technology as the years gone by.

Defeated one of Rita's most powerful minions, Goldar, on multiple occasions. One time he was giant-sized, and another time they defeated Goldar piloting a giant mech named Cyclopsis.

A fish goo monster uses poison venom to immobilize the Megazord. They use morphing energy to convert the goo into raw energy that they use to recharge and enhance the Megazord

Managed to beat Serpentera, a world-destroying Zord own by Lord Zedd

Destroyed Robo-Snizzard (Mighty Moprhin Power Rangers: Once and Always)

Defeated Chimera Zord alongside Dino Charge Megazord and Thundersaurus Megazord. Jason claims the Chimera Zord is a much bigger threat then Serpentera

Zen: Well, after pummeling monsters every weekday afternoon, the Power Rangers have been through almost everything. They bested many of Rita's monsters, including Goldar who considered one her best and most powerful minions. The Dino Megazord lifted and threw the 170 ton Dragonzord with ease and bested Cyclopsis, a War Zord not only designed to conquer worlds but was also 10 times stronger during their final battle. And with the Ultrazord, the Rangers defeated Lokar.

Popup: Zordon stated Lokar has more energy than he can sense, would include energies that can weaken the main universe and a realm beyond time, that have as a result to also affect significantly the entire timeline, but also superior to dimensions that contain almost infinite energy that allows to replicate everything in the universe, but also controls supernatural forces like fate. This also makes him superior to the Power Eggs which are said to contain the power of a fourth dimensional universe and they can shatter it.

Kira This is impressive because the Zords themselves possess technology far more advanced than Zordon's and Rita's which were capable of destroying planets, stars and even solar systems. During the Beast Morphers episode "Grid Connection", the Dino Megazord teamed up the Thundersaurus and Dino Charge Megazords to destroy Evox's Chimera Zord.

Ziana: And Jason himself said that the Chimera Zord is far worse threat than Serpentera, which is capable of destroying planets and stars. Hell, it once had the full power of the Hall of Legends realm that exists beyond space, time and even the multiverse and Zedd was gonna use Serpentera to destroy it all.

Popup: Serpentera once travelled to the Deserted Planet, located in the "furthest galaxy", in an hour, which puts its speed at over 21.9 trillion times FTL.

Weaknesses

Due to being solar-powered, the Megazord can't fight under a solar eclipse

Had its arm cut off by Cyclopsis in their rematch

Somehow couldn't react to attacks slower than lightning

Was destroyed when it fell into lava after being defeated by the Green Ranger and Goldar

Ziana: Still, despite its accomplishments, the Dino Megazord has its faults. Like the Rangers themselves, enough damage sever its connection to the Morphin Grid and too much will ultimately destroy it like when Rito Revolto destroyed its upgraded Thunder Megazord form.

Zen: Plus being solar-powered, solar eclipses are its Kryptonite. And for something that can deflect and react to lightning, the Megazord doesn't even bother dodging an attack when it's miles away. Oh come on, even I can react fast enough to dodge a Furious  Rajang and I'm not powered by a multi-dimensional energy source.

Kira: But now matter how many times it's been knocked down, the Rangers will find a way to keep fighting the good fight. With the power lying on their side, no one can ever take them down.

Jason: We need Dinozord power now!

The Dinozords emerged from the volcano and began combining into the Dino Megazord in Battle Mode.
