Thanos is Inevitable for DEATH BATTLE

(Thanos - Marvel Super Heroes OST)

Adam: In the Marvel universe, there are an evolutionary offshoot of humanity that possess great power and nigh-infinite lifespans. But even among them one stands out who is the most unique and powerful than all of them: The Mad Titan Thanos.

Shadow: Thanos is a literal god among gods. Though born to the Eternals Mentor and Sui-San on the planet Titan, Thanos's monstrous appearance is due to possessing the genes from another evolutionary offshoot of humanity. The deformities known as Deviants.

Adam: The Deviant gene provide Thanos with his physical abilities far surpassing that of other Titans, but it also made him an outcast. But we know that outcasting someone because of their differences can have nasty consequences.

Shadow: In Thanos's case, having underwent bionic augmentation, he developed a fascination with nihilism and Death, whose female embodiment he fell in love with to the point of committing several atrocities that include nearly wiping out the Titanian Eternals.

Adam: Thus Thanos became one of the universe's most dangerous threats.

Shadow: Given his Eternal, Thanos is essentially immortal as long as his body is not completely destroyed. Thanos's Deviant genes also give him the strength to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Hulk, the Silver Surfer, Drax the Destroyer, and even the Asgardian Odin.

Adam: Thanos's reflexes allow him to rapidly react to his opponent's attack and that goes hand-in-hand with god-like stamina that allows him to go centuries without nourishment. He's also a highly skilled warfare tactician and master manipulator. Whenever he acts through fear or the promise of giving them their darkest desires, Thanos used the Red Skull, Loki and Ronan the Accuser to do his dirty work in setting up his master plans.

Shadow: In addition to drones and ships, he has several weapons at his disposal. This throne can travel FTL, travel to dimension, fire energy blasts and generate a powerful forcefield. He also possesses a Cosmic Cube, which controls matter and energy. It is essentially a reality warping "wish-granting" device if you will.

Adam: But that all pales in comparison to his iconic weapon; the Infinity Gauntlet, one of the most powerful weapons in the Marvel Multiverse. Empowered by six Infinity Gems, it is one of the most powerful weapons in the Marvel Multiverse.

Shadow: Thanos can rewind time or age people to death with the Time Gem, travel across the universe with the Space Gem and break all sense of logic and physics with the Reality Gem.

Adam: The Mind Gem allows Thanos immense telekinetic and telepathic abilities, the Soul Gem can control the soul both living and dead with no limit and with the Power Gem, he gains unlimited stamina and strength and can boost the others Gem with it.

Feats

While possessing the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos effortlessly used it to wish for half of all life in the known universe to cease

Thanos was able to slightly damage Galactus' armor and blast the Devourer of Worlds off his feet

Broke the shield of the Captain America with a bitch-slap

Was able to hold his own against Beyonder/Kosmos

Thanos has destroyed planets with the simple force of his blows

Defeated Adam Warlock with little effort

On par with Hulk and Thor in terms of strength (including without the Infinity Gauntlet)

One-shots The Thing

Overpowered Hulk and The Thing at the same time while claiming he was "Strength Personified"

Beats the Hulk so badly that he absolutely refuses to transform (Infinity War)

Knocked out several god-like characters with his strength

Lifted Ego the Living Planet

Cracked the Reality Stone with a punch (Marvel vs. Capcom)

Capable of surviving planet-destroying attacks

Survived traveling across dimensions; easily resisting various reality distortions.

Once endured and escaped from a black-hole

Silver Surfer's energy attacks merely annoyed Thanos

Thanos has withstood three full screams from Black Bolt

Thanos has been shown to survive point-blank blasts from Odin and Galactus

Thanos has withstood a battering from an enraged, Power Gem-wielding Thor with all but a bloody nose.

Easily survived being stabbed through the chest by Wolverine

Took punches from Drax the Destroyer and The Hulk at the same time

His forcefields easily block blows from the Hulk and Thor

Endured the energy surge from the completed Infinity Gauntlet which was shown to yield over 5,836 Megatons of TNT (5.8 Gigatons)

Has knowledge of the universe rivaling and sometimes surpassing the wisdom of the other gods of Marvel

He gave immortality to Deadpool so he could not be with Mistress Death

He is respected by some of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe

Kills an entire army of Ovin Mercenary, stated to be the deadliest army in the galaxy, out of boredom

In an alternate universe, makes the Hulk in his attack dog

In an alternate universe, kills Galactus with relative ease

In an alternate universe, he killed everybody in the Marvel Universe

While in possession of the Heart of the Universe, Thanos obliterated everything, even the Living Tribunal, Thanos then instantaneously rebooted the universe out of boredom in the resulting void before discarding his divinity.

Assembled and owned the Infinity Gauntlet 17 separate times throughout the Marvel Multiverse: almost as frequently as every other owner of the Gauntlet combined.

Thanos defeated the most powerful gods within Marvel

Defeated and killed the cosmic entity: Eternity

Destroyed the Celestials

Overpowered the Living Tribunal and Galactus

Once defeated all those cosmic entities with the infinity gauntlet

Effortlessly defeated the otherwise invincible Wolverine

Thanos defeated the Silver Surfer on several occasions

On multiple occasions has held his ground, and frequently defeats superhero teams like the Avengers

Overpowered Thor and Hulk multiple times (including without the IG)

Adam: Thanos has proved to be one of the strongest characters in Marvel. Lift Ego with ease and broke Captain America's supposedly indestructible shield with a backhand. He's also defeated the Avengers time and time again including heavy hitters like the Hulk, Hercules and Thor. Speaking of the God of Thunder, at one point Thor had the Power Gem and proceeded beat the hell out of Thanos, and all that did was give Thanos a nosebleed.

Shadow: He's shrugged off reality warping attacks from Odin and the Silver Surfer and fought his son Thane when he had the power of the Phoenix Force at the time. And with all Infinity Gems combined, Thanos is capable erasing half of all life in the universe. Truly a powerful adversary for the superheroes who oppose him.

Weaknesses

Even in battle, Thanos has had his Infinity Gauntlet stolen by his enemies. To use the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos must have the stones embedded in the Gauntlet. Preventing him from doing so will make him far easier to defeat

The Infinity Stones individually have weaknesses

Infinity Stones can be destroyed by certain magical ways (assuming Thanos doesn't reverse the damage with the Time Stone).

It is possible to make magic or technology that can contain the power of the Infinity Stones

The Time Stone cannot kill enemies who possess eternal life (Aging Thor actually gives him more experience and thus more power)

Teleporting with the Space Stone can be detected by enemies with high skill and agility

Characters with high willpower or common-sense can resist the Reality Stone's brainwashing or illusions

Some magical or godlike characters or items can resist the Infinity Stones

Durability has limits (Vulnerable to bladed weapons; especially adamantium, magical or cosmic metals)

The magic from the Infinity Stones can be redirected to hit Thanos

The Infinity Gauntlet cannot work outside of the dimension it originates from (Darkseid attempted to use the IG, but couldn't due to this)

Sometimes is so powerful that he discards his divine power out of boredom

Massive ego makes him surprisingly easy to trick

It is always rejected by the Mistress Death

Has a helicopter, for some reason.....

Have never been able to defeat The One Above All

TOAA is immune to the powers of the Infinity Gauntlet since it was TOAA who created the Infinity Stones

TOAA is mentally omnipresent and can manipulate events that lead to Thanos' (or any other user of the Infinity Gauntlet) defeat

The Living Tribunal and Dr. Doom (imbued with the energy of the Beyonders) have also overwhelmed the Infinity Gauntlet

The Infinity Gauntlet has been used against Thanos multiple times to easily defeat or kill him. It is possible to steal the Gauntlet if Thanos is not currently using it at its full potential or if it hasn't been completely assembled. Even with his godly physique; Thanos can still be affected or killed by the Gauntlet.

Thanos (or a clone of Thanos) was easily defeated by Squirrel Girl

Has lost to The Avengers and similar superhero groups; both with and without the Infinity Gauntlet

In an alternate canon: Wolverine outsmarted Thanos and cut his arm off

Easily beaten without the Infinity Gauntlet by normal cops (Non-Canon)

Adam: Powerful? Yes. Unstoppable? Not really. Thanos is prone to number of faults. Mainly his obsession with Lady Death, who constantly rejected him more than one does on Tinder. Oh, and did I forget that giving Deadpool immortality will actually backfire because Thanos if kills him, Wade would end up with lady Death first? Yeah, a no-win situation for this guy.

Shadow: Thanos also has a habit of letting himself get defeat on the occasions he finds himself too powerful. One time he halved his power to gain Death's approval and he nearly lost the Gauntlet as a result.

Adam: And as powerful the Infinity Gauntlet is, it has one very unfortunate flaw; it only works in the universe it was created. So if Thanos is transported outside of his own reality, the gauntlet may well as be deadweight to him. Doesn't help the fact it it can be stolen literally under his nose even when he outright wields it in his hand.

Popup: In the JLU/Avengers comics crossover, which is canon for both, Darkseid wore the Infinity Gauntlet but discovered it's useless outside of its universe.

Shadow: Plus certain characters have been able to overpower the IG before, such as the Living Tribunal and The One Above All, the latter who created said weapon. It doesn't help that Thanos himself can be harmed by the very weapon that he uses to inflict pain on others.

Adam: But regardless, Thanos doesn't always stay down for long. Dread it, run from it, destiny still arrives and you can be sure that Thanos is there to see it.

Thanos opens a vault containing an empty Infinity Gauntlet and dons it on his left hand.

Thanos: Fine, I'll do it myself.

He smiles as he clenches his hand to begin his crusade for the Infinity Stones.
