The remaining people of Gladius' community had left the town after the Kree-Lizard intrusion from Port Alcan for their own safety. All of them had been hiding from their enemies which they spent walking along the way. The Kree-Lizard hybrid turned around and became vigilant for any incoming threats along with Peter and Christopher. They crossed rivers and forests and went along the way in seeing the mountains. The combined winds of Pacific and Arctic had visited them from morning to afternoon. It took days for them to travel, however some of them had died of illness including the elderly. The community had buried them into the forest as the boy helped them.

Tired and sleepless, they reached the seafront city in the Last Frontier. Finally, there were several people of mixed races which they had seen. The skyscrapers remained standing as the streets were running and bustling along with the crowd. The Kree-Lizard boy reminded of the city like Los Angeles and San Francisco where he had been more than a year ago. Yet, he was wondering how come the destructive invaders never touched this place. He curiously turned around as his friends noticed him.

" Hey, Bud, " Spider-Man called his attention. " You look still again! Did those bad memories haunt you? "

" No..." he chuckled. " It's just I'm happy to see how normal this place is. Unlike to the other places, I had been. This seems to be very lively. "

" Oh, yeah. Same here, it reminded me of New York City before the Kree and the Lizard invaded here. "

" Yeah, Anchorage is just like Atlas in my country, " Christopher added and smiled. " I hope we can find a place to stay here. "

" Well, we are doing it right now, " Gladius nodded. " Anyway, I have some friends who can guide us here. "

" Sir, what about our enemies? " the other rebel asked. " Are we blending in with the civilians? "

" That's the only way we can find our enemies. We have to do undercover and be discrete, " the long haired mutant replied. Then, he turned to the tall hooded being and said. " Perhaps, you can return to your street beggar exploits as your undercover mission. "

" Right. "

They arrived at the Midtown district where the former people of the Alcan Community headed to a compound building where Gladius met some friends who were former SHIELD Agents from Remnant. Everyone got surprised to see their leader talking to another ally. A blonde man and his scarlet-haired wife were meeting him.

" Who are they? " the boy curiously asked.

" Agents Jaune and Pyrrha Arc, " Christopher replied. " They're our friends back in Vale City, Remnant. "

" Oh, those SHIELD Agents, " Peter snapped his fingers and recalled. " I saw them back in New York. They're a nice couple. In fact, they remind me of Uncle Ben and Aunt May. "

The rest of the surviving residents waited for their leader to let them in as the couple allowed them. Finally, they entered the building. Aqune turned to her husband and the other three gentlemen.

" Finally, we can have a civilian life once again, " she smiled.

" Yeah. Right now, we'll be discrete from our operation, but we'll continue our exploits underground. "

" You mean like a secret mission? "

" Yes. "

Moments later, they all headed into their own rooms as the hybrid boy took another room along with Peter and Christopher. They spent talking and resting for the entire day when a blonde Inhuman man appeared and visited them.

" It looks like you boys have a good time there, " he called their attention as they turned to him.

" Jaune! " Christopher beamed and shook his friend's hand. " It's good to see you! "

" Likewise! You brought Spider-Man, here? " Jaune asked.

" Yeah, who's this guy, by the way? "

" Oh... that's our new friend, " Peter replied. " Well, he's trying to adjust to humanity? "

" What do you mean? "

" Well, it's a very long story. You have to see for yourself. "

Jaune curiously approached the tall hooded being with a green tail. At first, he was afraid to confront or talk to him since he had heard of the SCP monster. The Kree-Lizard hybrid boy also got terrified to see the SHIELD Agent which he thought the blonde could kill him. The boy took a deep breath and initiative to speak.

" I won't hurt you, " he said. " It's just that I look like exactly him. "

" Oh, okay, " Jaune wryly smiled. " Well, it seems you enjoy your company here. You'll get used to be here along with the other people. "

" Thanks..."

" You're welcome. "

" So, Jaune, what brings you to be here? " Peter curiously asked.

" Well, it's been a year we have been living in Anchorage after the first invasion in New York, " Jaune answered as the three listened. " Those blue-skinned soldiers and reptilian soldiers took every civilian including SHIELD Agents and the Division 6. Some got perished and abducted for slavery. Then, the entire city became a Kree territory. "

" Right..." Peter sadly sighed and remembered.

" What happened afterwards? " the boy queried.

" The survivors got scattered everywhere. Pyrrha and I headed to Canada and all the way to Alaska. The other heroes went on hiding and left to Remnant. Some of them died. "

" Who went to Remnant? " the green-haired asked.

" Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers. "

That name rang a bell to the Kree-Lizard boy as he remembered from Mar-Vell back in Los Angeles, more than a year ago. He saw the half-Kree woman on television and flew to space for her world record attempt. Now, he got curious of the heroine being mentioned.

" Well, it's just she lead a group of exiled Kree, Inhumans, Mutants, and Faunus there to start the rebellion against the invaders. "

" Interesting, " the hybrid boy nodded.

" Not sure if she could visit us in Alaska, " Jaune answered. " But Pyrrha and I will do our best to help you all when this escalates. "

Suddenly, Gladius entered the room as the other men noticed him.

" Sorry to interrupt, " the long-haired mutant said. " We have updates for our enemies and start our operation tomorrow night. "

" Tell us, Gladius, " the boy replied.

" Our sources discovered a squadron of Kree-Lizard infiltration in Elmendorf Air Force Base and some people for slave trade. "

The men exchanged glances and understood of what they heard. Gladius showed them the plans which he made along with the other rebels. The boy curiously looked at it and got interested.

" So, are we going there? "

" Apparently, we're waiting for the right time to get and spy there. "

" Wait, I've been there. It's a large facility, " Jaune replied. " That means this will be a big time operation along with your faction and mine. Right? "

" Yes, " Gladius nodded.

" And what else we can find there? " Peter also asked..

" Food, Drink, and other valuable items. "

" Perhaps, we can find anyone as well, " Christopher spoke. " I need to save my wife from there if we can see her. "

" That's the next step, " Gladius nodded. " For now, we need to take some rest before we infiltrate the base. I understood your concern, Chris. We can't just go there without any preparation. "

" Yes, sir. "

(Later in the Evening)

After eating supper and helping the chores, Christopher Knightfall remained sleepless and spent at the compound's rooftop, thinking of his wife and the mission for tomorrow. Somehow, he's still worried for anything would happen soon. Looking at the night sky with stars, he sighed and leaned on the wall. The Kree-Lizard hybrid boy joined him in his star-gazing.

" Are you supposed to get some sleep? " he asked.

" You repeated the same question from me, " the green-haired chuckled in reply. " No, for me sleep is pointless. "

" Why? Did you experience the same thing I have been suffering? "

" No, I didn't. It's just I have powers aside from light. I have relentless endurance after my terrigenesis before. Well, it's something I developed in years. "

" What is that? "

" It's a transition of a person to become an Inhuman through that blue Crystal or dust, " Christopher replied. " The Kree had made a lot of Inhumans in order to evolve their race and made them as warriors against their enemies. "

" I see. Do you think they can gain something from these Inhumans like you? "

The green-haired haired man sadly sighed and kept looking at the starry sky. The boy was curious to wait for his answer.

" Honestly, they wanted control and dominance over us, " he replied. " Slavery. The exiled Kree and the Inhumans were against that facism and discrimination. Now, you know this war will take ages before our real freedom and equality will be achieved. "

" I see, " the Kree-Lizard hybrid nodded and folded his sleeves. " This is what Mar-Vell had told me when he was living. Those people thought of annihilation and destruction to every race they dealt with. "

" Exactly, this is what I have been worrying about the coming days. They have the Lizards as their allies, " Christopher answered and also leaned his on the wall. " Now, our people are in deep danger. If there is a way to save my wife and the others. "

" Maybe, we can, " the boy assured. " We have to fight for your people. I hope you can rescue your wife. Then, you can live in peace when this war is over. "

" I guess you're right, my friend. Despite of this hardship, there must be hope for all of these, " he smiled and asked to change the topic. " Anyway, do you have any plans for the future? Something, you want to achieve. "

The Kree-Lizard hybrid boy heavily sighed and remained silent for a long time. He was thinking of his next steps in the coming days or years from now. Christopher waited for him to answer.

" Well, I don't know, " he said. " All I ever wanted is to break this bondage of 682 in my entire life. So, I can be free and find a way to search for answers. "

" How about looking for your family or someone? Did you ever think about your other roots aside from that monster? "

The Kree-Lizard boy was speechless which he had seen families in his wanderings in California and stay in Alaska. From that imagery of a complete family, it gave him a void and longingness to have one. He sadly sighed and turned to him.

" Yes, I have been thinking of that too. I don't know who I can find or how. It's just I spent alone in the containment cell as an experiment and a subject to death, " the boy replied. " You know, what? I really envy you all, thinking and worrying of your loved ones. "

" Hey, don't feel that way, " Christopher gently patted his friend's shoulder. " I understood you lost a friend and a loved one along the way, but there will come a time someone will care for you. I hope you will do the same thing. "

" I hope so..."

" Well. Anyway, we just need to get prepared for our mission tomorrow. "

" Right. "

(Elmendorf Air Force Base: the following evening)

Gladius, Jaune, and the other people entered the facility which they saw some abandoned warehouses and jet planes parked on the runway. The long-haired mutant lead the way and guided to spy and hide before entering the warehouse. The Kree-Lizard troopers heavily guarded the area. Spider-Man carefully swung with his the web on the shadows. He was the first one to enter which he heard of a conversation of Yon-Rogg and the other people inside the warehouse. They were discussing about their next plans after the death of Psycho. The masked hero intently listened to the conversation and thought of hindering them.

" Now, it's showtime! " he thought and shot the webs to the blue-skinned men and their reptilian beings who got trapped. Spider-Man appeared from darkness and waived at the remaining people. " Hey, guys! You wanna piece of me! "

" Get him! " the pink-Kree furiously summoned his subordinates to attack the masked hero.

Spider-Man quickly evaded the strikes from his enemies and shot more webs. Gladius signalled his people to enter the warehouse which they were ready to attack. The rebel forces were firing their weapons to the enemy troopers which they got struck down. Christopher used his two pistols to shoot another reptilian's head. On the other hand, Gladius emitted his purging light and blasted the incoming Kree soldiers.

Jaune blasted the lizards using his hands as his wife Pyrrha levitated the vibranium crates to trap them. The rebel forces moved forward to find more captives as they heard voices from a distance. The Kree-Lizard boy signalled the people and found a metal trailer.

" There, " he said and turned to his fellow rebels. " I need to break this one before you release them. "

" Roger that, " the other rebel nodded.

The boy punched the trailer and made a hole when he saw people from all walks of life and different races. They were all terrified to see him in his monstrous appearance.

" It's okay, " he assured. " You don't need to be afraid of me. I'm helping you to escape. "

" Thank you, mister, " a fox Faunus girl spoke in behalf of the other people as she was the first one to step out of the container. The rest followed as he assisted them one by one.

" Is there anything else I can help? " the scarlet haired Inhuman asked.

" Yes, there are more large containment cells. I can hear more people to set free. "

" Got it, " she nodded.

Pyrrha raised her both arms forward and made a crack to break and open some of the trailers. The other rebel forces assisted the victims away from their captors. The remaining Kree and Lizards were ready to attack the rebel forces. Gladius, Christopher, and Jaune blasted as the others continued shooting them.

Yon-Rogg watched the scene as he became more furious than ever. He was ready to kill anyone else who hindered his way. Spider-Man and the Kree-Lizard boy confronted him.

" You two are nothing, but a hindrance to my plans! " the pink-Kree commander yelled.

" What do you mean hindrance? " the masked hero replied. " You started the invasion in this planet! "

" I'm just following orders to my directive. You will all submit to the Empire for your benefit! "

" Benefit, really? You have just brought despair after all! " Peter heatedly answered and shot his webs at the Kree man. Yon-Rogg quickly dodged the attacks, levitated the masked hero, and intended to strangle him to death.

" PETER! " the Kree-Lizard hybrid cried.

" Run, dude, run! "

" I'll never run away and leave you! " he answered and instantly tackled the mad soldier.

Yon-Rogg got trapped in his attacker's clutches and attempted to break away. He looked intently at the boy's humanoid eyes and angrily gritted his teeth. Peter got himself down and instantly stood-up.

" You reminded me of someone whom I despise! " he muttered and thought of taking his knife to shoot the boy down. " You look exactly like him, except for your green scaly skin! "

" Who are you referring to mad man?! Tell me! "

" Why don't you see for yourself?! "

Yon-Rogg slashed the hybrid's arm when a flow of blue blood appeared and dripped. The boy yelled in pain and saw the sliced wound. Peter was angry and shooting him with more webs as Yon-Rogg got trapped.

" That disgusting reptilian is also a Kree like me by his blood! He joined with those damned rebels and should die like anyone else, here! " he angrily thought and cried. " YOU FOOL, Let me out of here! "

" That's what you call justice, dummy! " Peter spoke.

Suddenly, Yon-Rogg was being cornered by Christopher, Gladius, Pyrrha, and Jaune as they were ready to take him down. The long-haired mutant crossed his arms and signalled Christopher to release the light from his silver-eyes. The man got blinded as Jaune and Pyrrha took him away and got himself in chains. Finally, it was over when another rebel released another wave of victims. A white haired woman quickly ran and hugged her green-haired husband. Christopher was very glad to see his wife.

" Chris! Thank goodness, you're here! " Winter kissed him.

" Winter, I missed you, " her spouse kissed him back. " I'm glad to see you again! "

" Same here. Thank you for saving us. "

" My friends made this possible. "

The Kree-Lizard hybrid slightly smiled as Gladius approached him and gently patted his back.They both watched the couple spending their lovely moments.

" Good work, my friend, " the long-haired mutant smiled. " I realize you're a very useful recruit. I'm glad to have you! "

" Thank you, sir, " he replied. " Surely, Christopher and his loved one are meant to be each other. "

" Yeah, ever since. Wait, are you playing cupid? "

" Love is a very powerful state. I just realized that. "

" Indeed. "

Suddenly, a group of MTF Forces arrived at the scene which the boy got terrified and hid. The rest of the people got curious of their arrival and confronted them.

" We have come to take the 682 clone with us. " the trooper seriously spoke. " We have been following him since he was in  California. He might be a threat to all of you. "

" Wait, a second?! Are you gonna take him back for real? " Peter raised his voice. " You guys are causing him to suffer again! He's not coming with you, ever! "

" So, you're attempting to display any threat, heroist? He should be contained as soon as possible before he causes any threat to you. Now, give him back to us or you will meet your demise! "

" No, no, no! He's not coming! Have you understood what I have said?! "

The MTF troopers were ready to shoot the rebel forces and the victims who defended the Kree-Lizard boy. Gladius calmly confronted the armed men and crossed his arms.

" I apologize for my fellow rebel's behavior, " the Remnite politely spoke. " But he's right, the boy is not coming with you. He's now a member of the rebel forces. I am responsible for taking him into my faction. You are no longer under his custody. He's ours now. "

The MTF troopers found them ridiculous and loudly laughed at them. The Kree-Lizard boy heavily sighed to his people and turned around. He looked at Yon-Rogg, decided to  confront his detractors, and brought the pink-Kree to them. The others got surprised to see him courageously encountering with them.

" You rebel forces don't understand you're keeping a monster! " the other one loudly laughed.

" I understood you wanted to take me, but I have made my choice not to join you, " the hybrid calmly spoke.

" What the hell are you talking about?! " the MTF Commander ridiculously exclaimed. " You don't fully..."

The boy dragged Yon-Rogg and brought him to the MTF as they got surprised to see his act.

" In exchange, I will let you take him, " he said. " You can do anything to him. He's the one who caused these people to suffer. "

The armed men got surprised as the MTF Commander took the Kree man into their containment cell.

" If that is the case, we will let you go. But we will keep an eye on you. "

" I'm not going to hurt these people here. You're the ones who allowed anyone to get me abused before. "

The MTF troopers exchanged glances and sighed as they felt rebuked, guilty, and ashamed from the Kree-682 hybrid's stern words. They left the rebel group and the victims. Finally, the boy learned to confront in a civilized manner. His friends were happy for his initiation to the rebel forces. 

(Fifty Years Later: Rouen, France, 11:00 PM)

" So, you confronted them after that siege? " the elderly half-Kree woman asked after drinking a glass of water and placing it on the bedside table. " What made you think and do that? "

" Well, Yon-Rogg is the one who caused all those killings and abductions back then. I don't want to be in the MTF anymore. That's why I brought him to them. I didn't know what happened to him afterwards, but I hope he deserved to get the right punishment after all he did. "

" Interesting. I'm glad you did that, " Carol smiled and held the boy's hands. " At the same time, you gained a lot of friends after Nancy and Mar-Vell's demise. "

" Like some people say, when one door closes, another window opens. " he said with a smile. " My involvement with the Rebel Forces gained an opportunity and a part of new life. "

" Even you still have those nightmares? "

" Yes, it was tough and painful, but I had to get used to it and kept talking to people. "

Carol thought and remained silent as she heard of those nightmares from 682. Until now, it remained as an unresolved trauma. She looked at him with a concern and felt puzzled.

" If only we can get you treated by a psychiatrist, then you will recover somehow, " she spoke. " But I'm not sure if I can find the right person to check on you. The most important thing is you still have a support system who can help you overcome little by little. "

" I hope so, " he nodded. " I really need help. It's been lingering until now. "

" Right. For now, we need to sleep early and have a lot to do tomorrow. You will be learning everything. "

" Yes, ma'am. "

" Good night, sweet dreams, " she kissed his forehead as the boy smiled.

" Good night! "

The boy lied down and closed his eyes to slumber as his mother-figure carefully rubbed his back. She hummed a lullaby in order to sleep peacefully.

(The Next Day)

Studying at the library, Carol was about to finish her lessons which the boy learned a lot. He wrote down everything in his journal of some important things. After keeping his books and noted into his cabinet, he noticed and recognized an old mutant man dressed in a maroon jacket. He smiled at the two while holding a cane.

" Hey there, it's been years and long time no see! " he happily greeted.

" Gladius! You're here! " the boy hugged him with joy to meet his long lost friend. " I thought you were..."

" Dead? Heh! " Gladius grinned and chuckled. " I came here for my retirement. By the way, Hello, Carol! "

" It's nice to meet you again, Gladius, " the elderly half-Kree answered. " It seems my boy had told a lot of stories about you and the rebel forces. "

" Yeah, he did learn to become one of us. It's great to witness his improvement from him. For me, even it's a little one, it left a great impact on the boy. So, yeah, I heard he started to learn basic education. That's big step for him to get into the society. "

" That's true, " she nodded. " He's a fast learner. "

" Great! "

" Thank you, " the hybrid smiled and asked. " By the way, are you living with us, too? "
