The Danger Begins

Seven Years Ago

A young, hopeless girl walks along the concrete path in a pair of worn out shoes. Her hair was tangled like a rats nest and her face was covered in dirt, the only thing covering her body was a thin laced dress that was tattered and dirty.

Her name was Arabella and she was homeless, her parents left her when she was a baby and she has been stranded on the streets since then. No parental figure to help her grow up; she had to do it all on her own. A small tear escapes one of her brown eyes and she shivers as a cold breeze blows by her body. She freezes in her tracks and holds her arms close to her petite frame as she sits down by a building. The streets were empty besides a few cars the drove by now and then. It was Winter and only a few days till Christmas, but Arabella didn't care she knew she would be alone for Christmas again.

Every year, Arabella spends her Christmas in the freezing cold and snow all by herself. She almost froze to death last year, but she survived. Arabella didn't ask to be abandoned by her biological parents but that's what happened and she can't reverse time. She blames herself for her parents leaving and wonders what she did to make them leave her.

Arabella continues to sit in the freezing cold temperature until she hears a small crash down the nearby alleyway, she jumps with fear and immediately gets up. Arabella hesitates before going to investigate the odd noise. She peaks her head down the alleyway and sees two older, scary men with ski masks on; Arabella retreats and freezes.

She sneakily starts to make a break for it but she felt a hand on her shoulder. She squeals as she is turned around to be met by the two men.

Her hearts begins to pound and she gulps.

"Where do you think you're going, girly?" One of them asks and she was too scared to respond. "Aren't you a cute young lady."

The two men smirk at her and she tries to run but she is too weak and they both grab her arms.

"Don't try to escape, little one. It will only make it worse." The other one smirks and she tries her best not to cry.

"Please leave me alone." She begs and they chuckle at her plead.

"It will be over soon."

As they were about to carry Arabella, a young adult interferes they assault.

"Excuse me, I don't think you should be touching that young girl."

All three of them freeze and look up to see a muscular man in a red and blue suit with a mask on.

"Captain Man!" The two men gasp and drop the girl, who yelps as she makes contact with the sidewalk.

Captain Man shoots the two men with his lasers as they were distracted by his presence. Arabella scrabbles over to Captain Man and her holds her close to him, keeping her warm. The two men pass out and fall to the ground.

Arabella hugs Captain Man close and let's out a tiny cry. Captain Man notices her attire and look before squatting down to her level to speak to her.

"It's okay, you're safe now."

Arabella looks at Captain Man with fear in her little brown eyes. He could see the fear and torture she has been through, he felt a connection with the six-year-old girl.

Arabella felt herself grin at the superhero and her grinned back.

"Thank you." She squeaked out and nods.

"Just doing my job." He shrugs. "What is your name?"

"Arabella." She says and lets out a breath.

"Are you out here all by yourself?"

She nods and Captain Man was puzzled; was this girl homeless?

"Yes, my parents abandoned me when I was born." She informs him and Captain Man disliked that statement.

"Here, follow me and I will get you cleaned up." He offers and Arabella didn't hesitate; she trusted the hero.

Captain Man felt a strange connection with the girl and wanted to protect her and keep her safe from any harm that came her way.

"Okay!" She agrees and Captain Man picked her up before taking her away from the abandoned life style.

"Thank you, Captain Man." She says shyly and hugs him close. Captain Mam smiles softly at her hug and chuckles.

"Of course."

Captain Man found a daughter he was going to love and cherish forever.

-Present Time-

Arabella's POV

"Hello?!"

I looked up from my PSP and saw a cute kid around my age and his hair was messed up. My dad couldn't hear him due to his headphones and I whacked his shoulder, getting his attention.

"Someone's here." I nudged him, putting my game down.

"Hey! How are ya?!" My dad greets, standing up and tossing the headphones onto my lap.

"Oof!" I grunted.

"Cool! Thanks! Great to meat ya. I'm doing' good. What's your name?" My dad continues, quickly, going up to the kid.

I stand up and slowly get closer as they talk.

"Um...I'm Henry Hart." He introduces. "I'm here about the job."

"Age?" My dad asks.

"Thirteen. I'll be fourteen...on my next birthday." Henry tells him and I nod with a smile.

"Nice." I say and Henry glances at me.

"Ah, so, you're aging sequentially. I like that." My dad mentions.

"Thanks." Henry says.

"My names Ray." My dad introduces shaking his hand and gesturing over to me. "That's my daughter, Arabella, but you can call her Bella."

"Hi Ray." He says and looks at me with a cute grin. "Arabella."

"You ask a lot of questions." My dad randomly says.

"I don't think I've asked any questions." Henry says with confusion as Ray walks to other side of him.

"Chocolate or vanilla?!" I chirp at Henry, making him jump as I approached him. I was a few inches shorter then the boy but that's normal for me.

"Vanilla."

"Lame." I roll my eyes.

"It's the best." Henry argues.

"You obviously haven't had much ice cream then." I scoff and Henry raises an eye brow at me. "Vanilla is the most boring flavor, unlike chocolate, which has some pizazz too it."

"You're strange; I like that." Henry mentions and I smile at that.

"Thanks, I like me too." I say and Henry chuckles lightly.

"Helicopters or kangaroos?" My dad asks him.

"Helicopters?" Henry replies still confused.

I clapped. "That's a better answer."

"Love it! Scrambled eggs or dynamite?" My dad continues with absolutely seriousness.

"Both?"

My dad and I shared a intense look. "Maybe."

"Complete this sentence! 'I'm sorry, mother, I didn't mean for my elephant to... blank?" My dad trailed off .

"Uh, lick dad." Henry finishes and I snicker which causes all of us to laugh awkwardly.

"Oh, that's not funny." My dad says and we stop laughing.

"No." Henry agrees.

"It's weird." I blurt out before I hand my dad his gum container and he goes over to the monitor to sit down.

"Uh, is this, uh, the job interview..." Henry asks.

"Do you want it to be the job inverview?" My dad asks as he chews the gum and I stand next to him with Henry approaching us.

"Um, what is the job?" Henry asks.

"What do you think the job is?" I ask him with a happy grin.

"Well, the ad said, "Part-time Helper." Henry asks and my dad begins to squat and look around Henry. "So, I'm thinking you need someone to help you, you know part...time." Henry was confused by his movement and awkwardly copied him.

"Do you ever dream about sleeping?" My dad randomly blurts out.

"No."

"Good! If you did, you'd be dead!" My dad says and I shake my head.

"Is he always like this?" Henry asks me as my dad moved away.

I nod. "I live with it."

Henry turns to my dad. "I am so confused."

"David?

"Henry." Henry corrects him.

"Can I trust you?" My dad asks him and I stood a few feet behind Henry.

"Sure." Henry agrees.

"Can you keep a secret?" My dad continues.

"Totally."

"So, I can trust you to keep a secret?" My dad questions even further.

"Yes, sir!" Henry nods eagerly.

My dad steps back and points to his mouth. "I'm gonna blow a bubble."

"You're gonna blow a bubble?" Henry repeats.

I rest my arm on Henry's shoulder and he jumps again. "He's gonna blow your mind."

My dad slowly blows a bubble and when it reaches maximum form it pops and transforms my father into the amazing superhero; Captain Man.

Henry jumps back with shock and I smile at his shocked expression.

"You're... you're Captain Man!" Henry gasps.

"That's right, Henry!" My dad smiles and glances down to see his suit was not zipped all the way. He chuckles. "Oh, hold on a second. Cookie, help."

I rush over there and help him zip up his suit but it was stuck. "The zipper always sticks!" I tug on it and he yelps. "That's my skin!"

After a good minute and a very squirts of zipper lubed, the zipper zipped all the way.

"There we go!" My dad said with success. "Woo! Always good to keep the old zipper lubed!"

"You're welcome, dad." I sarcastically said and he kissed my forehead.

"Thank you, Cookie." He smiles and I grin happily as I put away the zipper lubed.

"I...I can't believe I'm standing here talking to Captain Man and his secret daughter!" Henry said with shock and amazement.

Oh right, I'm a secret to the world. Nobody knows who I am and my dad and I plan to keep it that way. People know Captain Man has a daughter but they don't know my identity.

"Why? Are you a fan? Do you like me?" My dad asks and starts to question himself. "Most people like me, but not everyone."

"Yeah, I'm a huge fan!" Henry gasps. "Oh man! I gotta tell Jasper about this. He's gonna freak when I tell him I'm standing here next to Captain...ah!"

My dad got out his laser pointer and shot Henry's phone.

Jasper? Does he mean Casper the Friendly Ghost?

"Sorry, but you can't tell you're friends about this." I apologize to Henry, picking up his now fried phone.

"Okay, but..." I hand Henry his phone. "But did you have to melt my phone?"

"I'll get you a new one." My dad offered.

"Really?"

"No."

"My dad's cheap." I say and my dad flicks my nose before walking over to the couch.

"So, Henry, tell me why you want a job?" My dad asks him.

"Well, you know, to.. to learn responsibility and challenge myself." Henry responds.

What thirteen year old wants responsibility? All kids want is money nowadays.

"You want money?" I ask him with small smirk.

"Lots of money!" Henry adds.

The elevator doors open and a elderly woman walks out with a cane.

"Oh, is this the ladies' room?" The woman asks and I felt my dad grab my hand tightly.

I think puberty hit her too hard when she was younger. Go back to your teen years, please

"No, ma'am, you're not supposed to be down here." My dad politely informs her.

"What an interesting place." She says, looking around the Man Cave.

"Thank you, but I'm conducting a job interview and you're very old, so could you please just get back in the elevator." My dad tells the woman, waving her away.

"I'll just take my phone out of me purse and call my nephew." The woman tells us and my dad and I share a look.

"Great, my daughter and I will turn our backs and look at something." My dad smiles and we both turn around.

"Do you think it will work?" I whisper.

"I don't know, but this kid seems smart." My dad reasons.

"We'll see-

"Captain Man! Bella!" Henry warns us and we both turn around to see Henry tackling the woman. I pretend to gasp as my dad as shot by the laser and falls onto the couch.

"Dad!" I gasp with false sadness and I watch Henry try to fight off the woman, or should I say man. The man pretending to be a woman fought Henry off and went up to us. He shot me and I pretended to pass out.

"Arabella!" I heard Henry gasp.

"Goodbye forever, Captain Man!" The man says and I opened my eyes to find Henry tackling the man.

"No!" Henry cries out and I watched Henry fight and tug the Man over to the elevator. I was impressed by Henry and how he handled the man impersonating a woman. He opened the doors and bumped him inside.

I shut my eyes once he turned to us.

"Captain Man! Arabella!" Henry gasps with horror and I heard him run up to us. I felt Henry gently touch my cheeks, which sent a small tingle through me.

"Bella, are you okay?" He asked me with concern and my eyes opened. I groaned lightly and Henry helped me up to my feet. "Phew! You're okay!"

"Yeah, I'm okay." I rubbed my head and we looked over at my dad.

Henry gasps. "Captain Man, are you okay?"

My dad jerks awake. "Captain Man is always okay!"

Henry seems relieved and my dad stood up. The elevator opened and Boris, the pretend bad guy, walked in.

"Nice work, Boris."

"The boy did good job." Boris compliments.

"W-W-W-Wait, you two know him?" Henry asks us and I nod.

"That's Boris." My dad introduces. "He works for me and tutors my daughter in science."

"I have a C+!" I cheer and Boris rolls his eyes at my excitement of a low grade.

For me, that's a good grade. My brain doesn't do school, it shuts down whenever I try.

"How'd you know he wasn't really an old lady?" My dad asks Henry.

"Uh, 'cause of the tattoo on his neck. I saw it on him up in the store." Henry informs us and I nodded impressed.

That's a nice observation Henry has.

"And his boobs are too wobbly." Henry adds and I silently agreed.

Boris shook his wobbly boobs. "True. Go get those under control.

Boris listened to my dad and left the room to fix his chest.

"Henry, you have a sharp eye. Good instincts. A nice shirt. And you're brave." My dad tells Henry who smiles.

"Thanks."

"Do you know how to make sandwiches?"

"I do!" Henry answers and my dad and I smile at one another.

"Then you have all the qualities I'm looking for." My dad says softly.

"But...I don't..." Henry trails of confused.

"You're the one, Henry." My dad says, touching his arm.

"The one to make you a sandwich?" Henry asks and we both chuckle.

"No.

"Oh."

"Well yes." I correct and my dad nods.

"But... everyone gets old someday, even Captain Man." My dad begins, walking off and I lean against the couch. "I can't do this forever."

"Do what?" Henry asks.

"Protect our town, Swellview, from bad guys, bad things, bad smells." My dad adds.

"Smells?" Henry asks.

"You wanna be horrified?" My dad asks him and I go up to them.

"No!"

"Watch this!" My dad pulls out the remotes or the tv screen and switches every screen to view the most horrible villain I hate; The Toddler.

One reason I hate this villain; He's in love with me and it's disgusting. He's like some forty year old man baby and I'm a thirteen year old girl; it's wrong and gross.

The videos played horrible shots of the Toddler and I couldn't bare to watch.

"Dad." I groan and hug him, he hugs back. "Why?"

"Who's the freak in the diaper?" Henry asks.

"The Toddler." I respond with absolute hatred.

"And don't let the diaper fool ya, kid." My dad adds and rubs my back. "He's pure evil; he wants my daughter more than anything."

The tone my dad used was in absolute disgust.

"Wow."

"I'll show ya, 'Wow!'" My dad lets me go and sits down. "Watch this secret video that was intercepted by my people that intercept secret videos."

My dad plays the video and I reluctantly watched the video.

"You were supposed to bring me my applesauce two minutes ago!" The Toddler bitterly tells a man who was tied up.

"I'm sorry, Toddler!" The poor man apologizes nervously.

"Sorry don't make baby happy!" Toddler spat at him and blew a few raspberries at his face. Suddenly, a tall figure walked in.

"Toddler, good news! The radioactive signite was here!"

"Really?! Wahoo!" Toddler cheered. "That means we can begin Phase 2 of my plan."

The three of use shared a disgusted look as the video played.

"Will someone wipe my face?" The man asks.

"NO!" The Toddler screamed and spat in his face again. I crawled onto my dad's lap and he held me close, protectively.

"Dang, that takes so much effort!" Toddler sighs and pulls down the taller man that was there. "Have one of our scientists build me a device to do that."

"To do what, sir?"

"This!" He spat in his face a bunch of times and I shut off the video, sick of seeing the Toddler.

"You see that?!" My dad tells Henry and rubs my back, assuringly.

"He's a maniac!" Henry blurts out and I slide off my dad's lap as he gets up.

"And there's more maniac's like him." My dad continues. "All dangers to the good citizens of Swellview."

My dad walked passed us and I sat down at the monitor holding my arms close.

"Well, yeah, but we've got you to stop them." Henry reasons.

"True, but I'm not as young as I used to be." My dad tells him. "I'm almost 34. I need help. And, someday, someone's gonna have to take over for me."

"Like..." Henry paused when he saw my dad staring at him. "Like me?"

"What do ya say, Henry? Do you wanna be my sidekick?"

"How much does it pay?" Henry asks.

"$9 an hour." My dad replies.

"Whoa!" Henry gasps and I roll my eyes.

"I know, right?!"

"I don't even get paid that much for doing chores!" I argue, standing up.

"You called me cheap." My dad points out. "You don't get get anything, Cookie."

I pouted at my dad and folded my arms which caused my father to chuckle.

"Don't be such a pouty puss!" My dad teased and I rolled my eyes. I flicked his forehead and he flinched a little which made Henry and I chuckle.

"Hey, why is this Toddler dude so obsessed with you?" Henry suddenly asks and I groan.

"Who knows!" I say with annoyance. "But he won't stop until he gets me all to himself. It's disgusting."

"-Bucket full of swords!"

We all turned to the monitors to find two teenagers on the screen. One male and the other female.

"What are they doing here?" Henry sighs and I glanced between Henry and the two teens on the screens.

"Friends of yours?" I ask him and he nods.

"Jasper, please don't embarrass me." The female tells the boy.

"Excuse me, sir!" Jasper smiles at Gooch, who works at the store above the Man Cave, Junk'N'Stuff.

"He's gonna do it." The girl says and I smile a little.

"Yes?" Gooch asks.

"How much?" Jasper asks, gesturing to the bucket of swords.

"Each sword is $100." Gooch informs him.

"No, no, how much for the bucket?" Jasper repeats and I raise an eyebrow.

"The bucket?" Gooch asks.

"That's not a bucket." The girl tells him. "That's a barrel."

"It's close enough to a bucket." Jasper retorts. "I collect buckets."

"Don't say it." The girl warns him.

"I'm a bucketeer." Jasper smiles, proudly.

"Is that a thing?" I asked Henry who shrugs.

"To Jasper it is."

"Well, they seem like nice kids." My dad comments.

"Yeah, they're names are Jasper and Charlotte. I've known them ever since-"

"Get rid of them." My dad interrupts.

"I'll get rid of them." Henry says and walks to the elevator. My dad sat down and I sat on his lap to continue watching.

"Wow, what a bucket!" Jasper exclaims.

"Ha! That kid sure loves that bucket." I laugh and my dad smiles amusingly.

"Hey!" I saw Henry appear on the screen and Charlotte and Jasper look at him.

"Henry!" Jasper beams.

"Did you get the job?" Charlotte asks him.

"Why are you guys here?" Henry asks them.

"You hung up on us." Jasper tells him and I take a piece of popcorn my dad made.

"Did you get the job?" Charlotte repeats, emphasizing each word.

"Yeah!" Henry smiles.

"Cool!" Charlotte smiles.

"Does that mean I can get a discount on this bucket?" Jasper asks Henry, eagerly.

My dad and I shared an annoyed look when he said that.

"Dude, it's my first day here. You've gotta-" Henry began but Jasper interrupted him.

"Excuse me! Mysterious foreign man?" Gooch looks at Jasper, annoyed. "Do Henry's friends get a discount here?"

Not only did Gooch shake his head, but so did the flytrap plant. This Jasper kid is annoying.

"That plant just shook his head." Charlotte points out and Jasper gasps.

"Wow!" Jasper runs up to the plant and Henry turns to Charlotte.

"Will you get him out of here?" Henry asks her, anxiously.

"How much for the plant?" Jasper asks and the flytrap makes a complaining noise.

"The plant is not for sale." Gooch denied.

"Bye, guys!" Henry calls, but Charlotte resists.

"Come on, I'll give you seven bucks for it." Jasper negotiates and I snicker. "And one Canadian Loonie!"

"Seven bucks? That's a lot of money." I sarcastically comment and my dad laughs.

"Don't forget the Canadian Loonie!" We both laugh at my dad's joke.

Suddenly, the flytrap spit in Jasper's face and I chuckled

"Ah, it spit in my eye!" Jasper complains.

"Ha!" My dad and I laughed.

"I told you Canadian money upsets people." Charlotte exclaims to Jasper who was blinded by the spit.

Henry began to pull both of them toward the door.

"Okay, you guys gotta go!" Henry tells them and I couldn't make out anything else besides Jasper wanting the bucket.

"Wait, what about my bucket?!" Jasper complains. "Just let me bring the bucket! I want my bucket!"

Henry successfully gets them out and I shake my head at them.

Jasper is one weird human. I'm not annoyed by him, I just think he's weird. Like me.

——

Henry returned and we needed to find a costume for him. My dad has many options and I've seen the costumes, they are hilarious and I can't wait to laugh at Henry.

The first costume looked like Henry should be the President's sidekick mixed with the America Flag.

"I gotta wear this?" Henry asks and I snicker.

"What's wrong with it?" I chuckle.

"All good sidekicks wear costumes." My dad says.

"Sorry but..." Henry looks in the mirror and cringes. "This is bad."

"We have more options." I shrug, stealing a piece of my dad's banana.

The next costume looked like a minion from Despicable Me went to disco party and never returned.

"Wow." I laugh.

"Too sparkly." My dad states.

The next one looked like Robin and Batman had a kid that they didn't like.

"It's a little Broadway." I mention, eating a piece of watermelon.

The next one was my favorite. He looked like C-3PO with some black padding on and I almost wet myself when I saw him.

"I love it!" I laugh and Henry glares at me.

"Too tight." My dad says with a whole pineapple in his hand.

I don't question my dad's food choices.

"Uh, way too tight." Henry groans.

"Aw man." I looked at my dad who seemed bloated. "I ate a lot of fruit."

"What have I told you about eating too much fruit?" I questioned my dad and he shakes his head in pain.

The next costume wasn't bad actually. Henry looks great in it, it wasn't tight or weird, it fit him perfectly. It also matches my dad's costume too.

"Hey! I like it!" My dad says as we get up and I smile.

"That's nice!" I complimented and I saw Henry grin.

"I like it, but..." Henry continues to readjust his clothes. "It takes a lot of time to put on."

"And that's-" Henry jumps at my dad's loud comment. "Why you'll need this special bubble gum."

My dad handed Henry a container of bubble gum.

"Special?" Henry asks.

"Just read the instructions." I say and Henry looks the container.

"Chew gum. Blow bubble. Fight crime." Henry reads.

"Now." My dad says and gets out a small wristband with blue and red lights on it. The lights in the Man Cave turned off, so one spotlight was on them, and my dad gets on his knee to put it on him.

"What's this for?" Henry asks.

"It means we're engaged." I almost choked on my spit when I heard that.

"What?" Henry was speechless, and my dad chuckles standing up.

"Nah, I'm just kidding. That's how I'll contact you and Bella has one too." My dad tells him and I show the wristband to Henry.

"Well, why can't one of you just call me?" Henry asks.

"He melted your phone." I remind Henry.

"Right." Henry nods.

"Now, listen closely." My dad says. "That wristband flashes."

"It flashes." Henry repeats.

"A triple flashing light means emergency like major stitch goin' down, so get here fast." My dad informs him.

"Right."

"A double flashing light means it's just important." My dad continues.

"And what does a single flashing light mean?" Henry asks.

"Just to, you know, shoot me a text whenever." My dad replies.

"Got it." Henry says.

"Now, raise your right hand." Ray says and raises his hand; Henry copies his actions. "Spread your fingers." Henry did that. "Turn your head and cough." Henry went to do that but retracted.

"What?"

"Ha, Ha, joke." My dad chuckles and I roll my eyes playfully.

"Put your left hand over your right lung..." My dad continues and Henry put his left hand over his right lung.

"I, Henry Hart."

"I, Henry Hart."

"Pledge to be an awesome sidekick to Captain Man."

"Pledge to be an awesome sidekick to Captain Man."

"And to never ever ever tell anyone that I am Captain's Man secret sidekick or reveal Arabella's identity."

"And to never ever tell anyone that I am Captain's Man secret sidekick or reveal Arabella's identity."

"You left out one 'ever.'" I mentioned.

"Ever." Henry says.

"It is done." My dad nods.

I smile at this.

"It feels good!" Henry mentions.

"Yeah." My dad says and suddenly the alarm began to blare. "Uh-oh." We rush over to the monitors to see what was up.

"What's wrong. Gooch?" My dad asked.

"Someone sabotaged the bridge over the Jandy River." Gooch explains.

"The bridge is down?" My dad asks alarmed.

"Affirmative." Gooch nods.

"That means 'yes.' My dad whispers to Henry.

"Yeah, I got that." Henry response.

"Situation." My dad orders.

"Cars in the water." Gooch answers. "Lives in danger."

"Understood." My dad says and ends the call. "Phase 2 of the Toddler's plan. Let's ride!

My dad rushed over to the tubes and I sat down on the couch.

"Arabella! If something happens, beep me and I'll send Henry to save you." My dad says and I nod.

"Got it." I say.

"What?!" Henry was confused. "Ride where?!"

"We've got people in the Jandy River that need saving." My dad tells Henry. "Come on!"

"But..." Henry was confused but slowly followed. "You mean we're going there? Together? Like right now?"

"Yeah, now get into your tube." My dad rushed Henry as he stood in the right one. Henry cautiously stood in the other tube and looked up with confusion.

"Ready?" My dad asks him.

"For what?" Henry questions and my dad presses his belt causing the tube to encase him him.

"Up the tube!" My dad says and he gets shot up the tube.

Henry stutters nervously and freaked out. "I don't know how-"

Henry pauses and bends down and jumps up. "Woooo!"

I chuckle and shake my head.

"Tap your belt buckle." I instruct him.

"Ah!" Henry looks down and taps his buckle. The tube encases him and Henry was so shocked. "Up the tube! Ooooohhhh!"

I sigh and sit back.

"Please don't kidnap me Toddler. I don't trust Henry's fighting ability yet."

——

Well, Ray and Henry successfully saved every from the collapsed bridge and it was on the news. So, now everyone knows that Ray has a sidekick and his name is Kid Danger.

That night, I was in my room and my father was asleep. I was just on my computer watching YouTube because I wasn't tired, and I also don't go to public school so I can stay up as long as I want.

I let out a small yawn but it was cut short when I heard a noise outside my window. I turned around and didn't see anything, I looked at it a bit longer until I turned back around. The sound occurred again and I paused the video, getting up from my bed.

I cautiously kept my eyes on my window and reached for my wristband to warn my dad and Henry. If this is the Toddler I will-

I gasped when I felt arms encase me and my mouth was covered.

"Hello, precious."

I was right.

I couldn't scream or anything. The Toddler is small but he is bigger and stronger then me.

"Fellas!" The Toddler yelled and my window opened to reveal two of his goons dressed in pajamas. "Lets get her out of here."

I struggled in his grip and I felt him put a piece of tape on my mouth.

"Mmmm." I shake my head and the Toddler laughs.

"I won't hurt you." The Toddler says and I looked at him with daggers in my eyes. "Perfect bait for Captain Man."

After that, I was taken away and was praying my father and Henry would save me.

——

Being tied up and held hostage in a playroom for toddlers(haha, get it, toddler? Because the Toddler is a toddler and...nvm I'll leave) makes this less terrifying. Especially when all the large goons are wearing pajama onesies.

The amount of times I've been here is sad. I've been here so many times that I know this place like the back of my hand. It smells like pee and feet, it's amazing. Sarcasm is my middle name, ya know?

Also, my father attempted to save me and guess what? He got captured, and now he's dangling inside a baby bouncer, which is actually funny to watch bounce up and down.

Henry was supposed to come but he blew us off for Jasper's party. So, Henry chose his best friend over the risk of Captain Man dying, me marrying The Toddler, and all babies turning into zombie like creatures.

Nice choice, Henry. Nice choice.

"Nye nye nye nye nye nye." The Toddler Sang mockingly as he shook a baby rattle, and I struggled in the ropes that were wrapped around me.

"Come on, Toddler, let me out of this thing before I puke." My father begged, panting for his life.

"No!" The Toddler exclaims. "This is my playroom, my toys, my rules!"

"You sick underdeveloped maniac!" My father scolded and I saw him glance at me. "You better leave my daughter alone!"

"I won't hurt, Arabella." The Toddler says and I wrinkled my nose when he said my name. "I could never, but I have other plans for her."

The Toddler approached me and this angered my dad.

"Don't touch her!"

"Take that!" The Toddler threw his rattle at my dad and hit him in the face.

"Ow! Jeez man!"

"Oh! I thought the famous Captain Man couldn't be injured!" The Toddler taunted and one of his goons bent down to his level.

"He can't, but he does feel pain."

"You're not allowed to talk unless you raise your hand and I call on you, you stupidhead!" The Toddler yelled with irritation and pulls him down to his face. He took out his Spit Pistol and sprayed spit all over his face. "That's what you get."

"Come on, Toddler. You're insane plan won't work." My father mentions.

"A lot you know." The Toddler retorts and smirks devilishly. "48 hours from now, every baby in Swellview will be a hideous monster and Arabella will fall in love with me."

"I will never ever love you!" I cry out and he just laughs.

"We'll see about that, my precious."

"Come on, Toddler, put me down from this thing and let my daughter go." My dad pleaded again. "Oh, it's squeezing me in bad ways."

"So is this rope!" I add. I can feel the rope burn my arms and the circulation was cutting off.

"No!" The Toddler yelled. "And now, Captain Man, I have thousands of babies to monsterize and to make sure that you don't try to stop me, I will destroy you!"

"You idiot!" I laughed. "He can't be destroyed!

"I know that!" The Toddler stomps his foot. "But he can be dropped!"

The Toddler used the remote to move my dad over a ball pit.

"Ahhhh!"

"Into my bottomless ball pit!" The Toddler continues and I wiggle around.

"Toddler please don't!" I cry and he glances at me.

"Don't talk, precious."

"Now, Tod, Tod-"

"Toddler!" The Toddler exclaims. "Play time is over, Captain Man!" He begins to laugh but stops when we hear ice cream truck music.

He gasps. "Oh, wait, listen. It's the ice cream man!"

I feel like the Toddle is bipolar, but that's probably just me.

All of them cheered. "Yay!"

The Toddler turns to my father. "I'll destroy you in a minute!"

"Come on, fellas, ice cream man!" The Toddler giggles and they all begin to run out. "I hope they have mint chocolate chip."

That's no longer my favorite ice cream flavor. Dang it, Toddler.

My dad and I continue to struggle and I needed to get out of these ropes. My arms are dying.

"Captain Man! Bella!"

We looked up and saw Henry, or Kid Danger.

"Henry!" We both smile.

"It's Kid Danger." Henry corrects.

"Now quick, how do I get you down from there?" Henry asks my dad.

"I don't know. This is the first time I've been trapped in a baby bouncer over a bottomless ball pit." My dad replies. "But first, free Bella."

"Got it!" Henry says and dashed over to me. He finds the knot and unties me, making me free and I exhale.

"Thank you! My arms are dead." I smile and Henry smiles.

"Okay! Try the lever!" My dad suggests and we rush over to the level on the wall.

"Right!" Henry says.

I heard the door open and I saw an angry Toddler. "There was no ice cream truck! Who tricked me?" He turns to us. "And who's that boy near my level and future wife!"

I groan with disgust at that comment.

"That's my sidekick, Kid Danger." My dad says.

"I didn't know you had a sidekick." The Toddler states. "Why don't I have a sidekick? I want a sidekick!"

Henry slowly stands in front of me and I react by grabbing his arm loosely.

"You have us!" A goon chimes in.

"Shut up! You're dumb!" The Toddler yells.

"Uh, Kid Danger?" My dad questions.

"Yeah!"

"Why don't you pull that lever?" My dad asks.

"Oh right!" Henry pulls the lever and the Toddler yells.

"NOOOO!"

Suddenly, my father gets swung around in the baby bouncer, knocking down four goons.

"Squish the boy and get Arabella!" The Toddler orders and the goon stands at the ready.  Henry rushes up a box of diapers and leaps off, dodging another goon.

"Kid Danger, look out!" I call as I hid behind a table. I saw the Spit Pistol and tossed it to Henry, who immediately shot a goon with it. The goon fell down, and my dad kicked the other goon down.

"Oh my god, he's got my thing that goes Pfffft!" The Toddler gasps and tries to attack Henry, who dodges him. I rush over to the stack of diapers and stood on top of them.

Henry sprays any goons in his way and manages to dodge them all.

"Get him get him!" Toddler yells.

"Bella!" Henry calls. "Help me!"

I leap over Henry and toss a ukulele at an incoming goon and he falls.

"Use the truck!" My dad calls and Henry tosses a toy truck at the same goon.

"Hey! I hate you!" The Toddler yells at Henry and we see my dad successfully kick a goon off the stack of diapers.

"Yeah! You've been kicked!"

"Dad! Watch out!" I call and my dad leaps in the air right as a goon was about to tackle him. Henry goes up to the Toddler and I stay put.

"Look at you!" The Toddler says and attacks Henry, who fights back.

"Get him, Kid/Kid Danger!" My dad and I call out.

"Give me back my Spit Pistol!" The Toddler demands and Henry uses the pistol on the Toddler's face. The Toddler retracts and covers his face with disgust.

I grabbed the remote, moving my dad over to goon and he soaked the goon in the face.

Eventually, all three of us were fighting the goons. These henchmen are awful and very dumb. It was easy for me, because they've been told not to hurt me but I can hurt them.

Henry and my dad were easily knocking them around, even with my dad's restrictions of being in a baby bouncer.

"You guys are seriously the worst henchmen ever!" The Toddler exclaims.

I leaped off the pile of diapers and tackled a goon to the floor and my dad kicked down three goons at a time.

"Kid Danger!" My dad calls and I turn to see Henry struggle with one. My dad kicks the goon away and I rush over to the two of them as Henry pulls my dad down.

All the goons were lying on the floor, defeated.

"You three think you're so spiffy." The Toddler glares, walking up to us with a bottle of green liquid. "But have a look at my Bang Bottle."

The three of us look at each other, amusingly.

"Bang Bottle?" My father asks with a smirk.

"That's right and it's filled with explody juice." The Toddler says and he turns to the nipple, causing it to turn red.

"Kid Danger, take Bella and get out of here!" My father orders and I shake my head.

"Dad! No!" I protest.

"I'm not leaving without you!" Henry protests.

"But the nipple is flashing." My dad reasons.

"No one leaves. Wahhhhh!" The Toddler calls and both of the doors shut in command. "Now, we're all gonna go boom together!"

"What do we do?" I ask, frantically.

"Push me! That way!" My dad says and Henry and I push my dad over to the Toddler, who falls in the ball pit.

"Nooooo!" The Toddler calls and he lands in the pile of plastic balls. My dad returns and we catch him.

"Help me! Get me out!" The Toddler pleads as he slowly sinks. "Oh, these balls smell like feet and pee! Oh, this is it for me! I've been hoisted by my own petard!

The Toddler was full submerged by the ball pit and I smile with success. The three of us sigh and I remembered something.

"The Bang Bottle!"

"Oh, man!"

Henry leaps down and picks up the bottle.

"What do we do with this?!" Henry frantically asks.

"We give the baby his bottle." My dad says and I glance at the ball pit.

"Good call." Henry smiles.

"Hey." I smile.

"What's up?" Henry replies.

"Hurry." I tell him.

"Right!" Henry tosses the bottle into the ball pit.

"Kid Danger!" My dad calls and Henry rushes over to us. We all huddle together, and the bottle explodes inside the ball pit.

"NOOOOOOO...."

I love the sound of the Toddler dying.

The explosions ended and we slowly let go of one another. I saw my dad holding the Toddler's beanie, and I wrinkled my nose at it.

"Eww." I toss it away and shiver in disgust.

"Nice work, Kid Danger." My dad tells Henry. "You got skills."

"Thanks, Captain Man."

Henry's phone beeps and he looks at the message.

"Jasper!" Henry gasps.

"Oh, yeah. You better get to that birthday party." My father tells him.

"Right!" Henry nods.

"But, can you take Bella home for me?" My dad asks. "I don't like her alone on the streets."

I roll my eyes. "Dad."

"Sure." Henry agrees. "I need to change anyway, so. Also, Ray. Will you do me a huge favor?"

My dad looked at Henry and I figured out what he meant.

——

Henry changed out of his Kid Danger costume and walked me back to the Man Cave. I'm proud of Henry, he chose the greater good over Jasper's party and that did a lot. Not hate toward Jasper, but things could've ended badly if he choose the party instead.

It was dark out and the streets were basically empty, no one was around. The only lights were the street lights and a few shop lights, but it was calming. I don't have a fear of the dark nor do I have a fear of things jumping out. I love scary things, especially movies.

"Thanks for saving out butts back there." I told Henry as we walked down the empty sidewalk.

"No problem, it was either save you and Ray or go to Jasper's party." Henry begins. "I think I made the right decision."

"I think you do." I tell him and he grins. "Well, my dad likes you and you make a great sidekick."

"Thanks, I hope I can handle it though." Henry mentions. "I mean, an emergency could happen at any moment."

"Like when you're on the toilet." I randomly say and Henry nods.

"That wouldn't be ideal, but yeah." Henry says and I giggle. "It's so weird being Captain Man's sidekick, like I'm still shocked about it.

"Well, you gotta keep your mouth shut about it and about me too." I inform him. "My dad would be furious about it."

"Yeah, I know." Henry responds. "So....what's it like having Ray as a father?"

I snicker. "It's something, let me tell ya. For the passed seven years, I've had to deal with that weirdo I call a father but I love him."

We reached Junk'N'Stuff and we stood at the door to the now closed shop. I had the key so it was okay.

"Seven years?" Henry asks and I nod. "Wait are-

"I'm adopted." I cut him off. "Ray found me off the streets when I six and took me in. A big reason he keeps me a secret is because he would be questioned about me and he has no records or birth certificate, so I would be taken away immediately to a foster home. Also, other villains would know who I am."

"Wow, I had no idea." Henry says, rubbing the back of his neck. "Don't worry, I won't let your true identity get out."

"Thanks, Henry." I smile at him. "Have fun at the party and bring me a muffin."

"I will." He says and we did a small handshake that we both just came up with. "Night, Bella."

"Night." I tell him with a soft smile and Henry walked away.

I watched him for a few seconds before nodding with a smirk.

"I think Henry Hart and I are gonna get along just fine."

——

It's done! First official chapter is finished and my hands are basically asleep. I spent the last five hours finishing this and I'm dead, like seriously! Haha, anyways, this is the beginning of Captain Man's Daughter, and I have no idea if I am going to do all five seasons. Like, that's a lot and I don't have the patience to do that. Why do you think I skipped the first season in My Thunderman's series and Freckles?

I'll see what I'll do and how the story goes. First three seasons are for sure going to happen, and I'll see what happens after that. The next chapter will be very short, because Arabella doesn't seem to fit in most of the episode, but I'll have her in near the beginning and the end. So, that will be easy to write.

Also, the relationship between Henry and Arabella(Aka Henbella) will take time to happen. They are just friends right now and season 1 will not include romance between them. Maybe a small hint, but nothing serious. Arabella will like Henry in season 2(As you saw in Danger and Thunder from my True Colors book) but it won't grow until later. I want character development to happen, and Henry flirts and dates many girls, so that's hard to maneuver around. I never labeled this as a Henry Hart fanfic, it's a Henry Danger fanfic. The relationship will happen but not until maybe the middle of season two, maybe three, but we'll see. When they get together(if they do), it will be filled with so much fluff! Like, I have ideas and stuff for them.

So, just have to wait and see what happens.

Excited to share this story with you and see what Arabella has to offer.
