Arabella's POV

"Can't I go trick or treating with Henry and Charlotte?" I ask my dad who was ignoring me.

Tonight was Halloween and I wanted to meet with Henry and Charlotte along with their friend Jasper and his friend Monica, but my dad was being a butthead.

"No, it's dangerous."

"No it's not!" I argue. "Besides, I'd be with Henry anyway."

"Bella, I said no, so no." My dad confirms and I huff, sitting on the couch.

"Then I put on this costume for nothing!" I complain.

I was Minnie Mouse because she's my favorite cartoon character.

"Stop complaining, Minnie Mouse." My dad groans as he walked away and I stuck my tongue out at him.

My dad was wearing a lobster costume with a cheerleader outfit and he looked ridiculous.

The elevator doors open and Henry and Charlotte stumbled out. Henry was dressed as a zombie and Charlotte was dressed as macaroni noodles.

Odd arrangement of costumes, but I love it.

"You all right?" He asked her.

"Yeah, but I think I dropped a noodles." Charlotte mentions and I stood up, getting their attention.

"Hey, guys." I greet.

"Hey, Bella." Charlotte grins. "Nice costume."

"Sup, Minnie." Henry grins and I smile softly. "I thought you were gonna meet us for trick or treating."

"I was, but my father thinks it's to dangerous." I say and scoff. "It's Halloween, nothing's gonna happen. Why are you here?"

"Ray beeped me." Henry says and looks for my dad. "Ray?"

My dad hopped out with excitement. "Happy Halloween! Look I'm a cheer lobster!"

My dad dances around and shakes his dumb tail at us.

"Cheer lobster?" Charlotte chuckles.

"Is that, like, a thing?" Henry asks.

"I said the same thing." I mention.

"Yeah, it's a thing." My dad remarks. "Look. Go team! Please don't boil me! Or use a tiny fork to remove my flesh and eat me!

"You look more like a lobster then a cheerleader." Henry criticizes.

"Well, there was no room for lobster boobs." My dad mentions, shaking his chest.

"Why did you beep, Henry?" I ask.

"So you guys could see my cool costume." My dad says and I roll my eyes as Henry sighs.

"Aw, Ray. I had to zap my little sister to come here."

"You killed her?" My dad asks.

"No, I just stunned her." Henry corrects and looks at his watch. "Wait, I think it was set to stun. Stun is blue and kill is red, right?"

My dad shrugs, "I don't know. I can never remember."

"Can we please go trick or treating?" Charlotte pleads.

"Can I go, dad!" I beg and he sighs.

"Bella-"

The emergency signal blared and my dad got cut off. "Uh-oh. Trouble."

We went over to the monitor and my dad couldn't answer the call because of his claws. I got impatient and answered it for him.

"What's up, Gooch?" My dad asks.

"You just received a video." Gooch informs.

"From who?"

"From a man who claims to have captured Kid Danger."

This confuses us and we look at Henry, who was not captured.

"Play the video." My dad demands and Gooch plays the video.

"Hey, Captain Man, it's your old friend-

I groan at the sight.

"Pause!" My dad interrupts and sighs. "Jeff!"

"That guy is so stupid!" I remark with irritation.

"How do you know him?" Henry asks.

"He's been a petty thief in Swellview for years." My dad explains. "I put him in jail, like, a dozen times. Resume play."

"So, guess what, I kidnapped your sidekick." Jeff continues and I heard Henry sigh.

"Aw, please don't be Jasper! Please don't be Jasper!"

"It's going to be Jasper." Charlotte said.

"Take a look." Jeff turns the camera and we see Jasper dressed up as Kid Danger, who was tied up and had duck tape over his mouth.

Henry sighs again. "It's Jasper."

"What a surprise twist." Charlotte sarcastically adds.

"Hey, isn't that kid your friend with the sweaty hands, who loves buckets?" My dad questions.

"That's him."

"How can that Jeff guy think Jasper's the real Kid Danger?" Charlotte asks.

"Oh, well, see...because he's a moron!" I snap at them.

"Oh, and I always kidnapped Kid Danger's woman!" Jeff adds and flips the camera to a girl who was dressed in a cowgirl costume.

I'm guessing this is Monica.

My dad shakes his head as he facepalms.

"Now, if you ever want to see me again. You better bring me like...a million dollars!" Jeff threatens and I roll my eyes with my dad. "Oh, an I want two Big-N-Beefys from Inside Out Burger, with fries! And don't forget the million dollars!"

He ends the video after that.

"What? Is that guy insane!?" Henry gasps.

"No, he's stupid." I correct.

"Yeah, nobody can eat two Big-N-Beefys." Charlotte chimes in.

"Not with fries!" Henry agreed.

My dad takes off his claws and takes out his gum container. "Whatever . Come on, Henry. Let's go rescue your friend."

Henry seemed hesitant before following. "I-I can't go with you."

"Why can't you?" I question.

"Because Jasper really likes that girl." Henry reasons.

"So?" My dad shrugs.

"He made her think that he's Kid Danger." Henry explains. "So, if I show up there with you, she's going to know he was lying."

"Don't you think Jasper should find a girl who likes him for who he really is?" Charlotte asks Henry.

"You know that's never gonna happen." Henry remarked.

"All right." My dad huffs "I'll go rescues your friend."

"Okay. But when you're there, you got to act like Jasper's the real Kid Danger." Henry instructs my dad.

"I know how to act!" My dad snaps.

My dad blows the the bubble and it pops, transforming him into Captain Man.

My dad walks toward the tube.

"Gooch luck!" I smile with amusement.

"I don't need luck." My dad groans. "It's Jeff." He presses his belt and a tube encases him. "Up the tube..."

The elevator doors open and Gooch was standing there with a young girl in a Jonathan Swift costume in his arms.

Yes, I know that is, I'm educated. In some ways.

"Hey. I have to go take my nephew to a Halloween party." Gooch informs us and drops the girl on the ground. "Later."

Gooch retreats to elevator and Henry, Charlotte, and I rush over to the girl to help her.

"Who is this?" I ask Henry and Charlotte.

"My sister, Piper."

"Ah."

After what seemed like hours, we successfully pulled Piper upstairs and out of the elevator. She's one heavy girl, especially with that wig.

"Okay." Henry groans as we lift her to her feet and trudged forward. "Careful not to drop her."

"Not to what?" Chapter and I ask him.

"Drop her." Henry repeats and I shrug.

"Okay." We say and we drop Piper into the ground, only to have Henry look at us.

"What? You said drop her." I protest.

"No, I said-Oh, forget it!" Henry groans. "Let's just take her to-"

Henry pauses when we hear Piper moan.

"She's waking up!" Charlotte whispers.

"Yeah, because you dropped her." Henry snaps an I glare at him.

Piper wakes up and looked confused. "What happened?"

Henry drops to her level. "You ate some bad candy."

Charlotte and I drop down to her level. "Real bad candy."

"Why are you guys so close to my face?" Piper groans.

After that, Henry took Piper home and Charlotte went back to her house. I just went back downstairs and went to bed.

Just one problem. I didn't have any candy and I was upset.
