Arabella's POV

Every since Jasper found out about the secret, my dad has been apprehensive about Jasper working here. He's nervous Jasper will reveal our secret to the world, but all Jasper wants to do is work here and spend time with us. Not blab all our secrets to the world.

"I don't know about this, guys, I dunno." My dad was pacing around the Man Cave as Henry and I were looking at his tablet together.

"C'mon, it's gonna be great." Henry assured him.

"Oh, that's exactly what you both said when you talked me into eating one of those 'women's energy bars.'" My dad protested. "Then I couldn't stop reading books about princesses! I thought I stopped reading princess books when Bella turned ten!"

"I was nine." I argued. "Ten was the age I got into My Little Pony."

"Same thing!"

I rolled my eyes and Henry rubbed my thigh.

"Dude, I've known Jasper my whole life." Henry reasoned.

"That does not means he's qualified to have a job here!" My dad argued. "D'ah!"

The alarm for the tubes blared and I turned to see Charlotte get shot down.

"Oh, hey! Happy Saturday morning!" She greeted us.

"Hey."

"Yo."

"Maybe you're happy." My dad snapped and I sighed as Henry stood up.

"Char, will you tell my dad that Jasper working at Junk-N-Stuff isn't gonna be a problem?" I asked her as she walked her to the snack machine.

"I can't tell lies before breakfast." She remarked and I snicker as Henry sat down next to me again. I pulled out a protein bar and handed it to my dad.

"Here ya go."

"What's this?"

"Lady bar."

"Ahh!" He tosses it away and I giggled as Henry tosses his arm around my shoulder.

I looked over at Charlotte as she ordered her breakfast. "Scrambled eggs."

"Scrambled eggs."

The computer beeped and we saw Jasper on the screen. He was standing outside the store of Junk-N-Stuff.

"Oh, he's here." Henry smiled and shot up, walking over to the monitor. My dad groaned and I stood up, following them.

"Hey, what's up?" Henry asked Jasper, talking through the intercom.

"Hey! Jasper Dunlop here to see Captain Man and Kid Danger!" Jasper saluted and we shushed him as he said that.

My dad freaked and ended the call. "Did ya hear that? He's gonna blab all our secrets to the whole world!"

"No, not after we show him our video." Henry reasoned.

"Fine!" My dad snapped.

"Just get him down here, get him down here." My dad rushed and Henry and I ran toward the elevator. We walked inside and rode it up to the store. As we rode up, it was quiet and I think both of us wanted to do the same thing.

"Wanna make out?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Thank god."

Henry grabbed my waist and I grabbed his face as our lips met. We made out for a good minute or two as the elevator rode up and it was pretty hot. Henry and I tend to make out more than needed and I don't have a problem with it.

Once we got to the store, we stopped kissing and walked out.

"Wow..." I heard Henry say and I blushed as I walked ahead of him.

Wow indeed.

We brought Jasper into the store and I glanced back to see him wearing a goofy tie.

"Why are you wearing a tie?" I asked him and Henry turned to him.

"Oh, cause it's my first day at work and I wanna make a good impression." Jasper explained and I loved his enthusiasm, but that kind of sophistication isn't needed here.

"Take off the tie." Henry tells Jasper before we continue walking. We got to the elevator and I pressed the button to open it.

"Whoa, the back room!" Jasper gasped.

"Yep."

"Uh-huh."

Henry and I walked inside and Jasper followed. Before Henry presses the button, we looked at Jasper. He's not ready for this elevator ride.

"Now, don't get scared." Henry advises him.

"Dude, this ain't my first elevator ride." Jasper retorted and I grinned.

"Yeah, okay."

Henry presses the button and his arm wrapped around me as the elevator dropped. Jasper screamed in agony and freaked out as we rode down and Henry and I nonchalantly checked our phones. It took me years to get used to this elevator and now I have to deal with Jasper freaking out.

We reached the bottom and Jasper fell to the ground, grabbing Henry's leg. The doors opened and Jasper realized where we were.

"Oh." He let go of Henry's leg and we walked out to see my dad setting up the tv, so we can show Jasper the video.

"Okay, we got him." I tell my dad.

"Hey, boss!" Jasper beamed as he recovered from the elevator ride.

"Good morning, Jasper." My dad greeted with slight irritation.

"Guess what I'm wearing!"

Oh god.

"A goofy tie?" My dad asked.

"No, what I'm wearing down here." Jasper gestured to his lower region and I leaned my forehead on Henry's shoulder.

"Okay..."

"Son, I uh...don't wanna know what-"

"Captain Manderpants!" Jasper reveals his underwear to us and we see Captain Man on the front.

Oh my god.

My dad gestured to Henry and I, and Henry went up to Jasper.

"Put your underwear back in your pants! You're making him uncomfortable!" Henry muttered to Jasper as my dad looked away uncomfortably. Jasper stuffed his underwear back inside and I just noticed that Charlotte was gone.

"Uh, where'd Charlotte go?" I asked.

"I dunno, probably somewhere." My dad shrugged. "Now, Jasper-"

"Yes, Captain!" Jasper saluted.

"First, never do that." My dad interrupted him. "Secondly, if you're gonna work upstairs in Junk-N-Stuff, the most important thing is to never reveal my identity, my daughter's, or Henry's."

"I get it." Jasper nodded.

"You will get it." My dad said, sternly. "When you watch this video."

My dad played the video and we watched the tv screen.

"Never tell the secret!"

My dad and Henry popped up on screen in their costumes.

"Captain Man and Kid Danger. If you're watching this video, that means you know their true, secret identities. Ray Manchester and Henry Hart."

The screen switched to a pic of the duo but as themselves.

"I love that pic of us." My dad smiled.

"Yeah, we look good!"

A pic of me popped up on screen. "You also know Arabella Manchester, the daughter of Captain Man/Ray Manchester."

I heard Henry wolf whistle and I whacked his arm with a blush.

"Revealing the secret could have terrible consequences!"

An explosion happened on screen, then a blown up building appeared.

"Such as tragedy. The end of Earth as we know it! And loss of bladder control."

A man ran inside a bathroom and we heard him cry as yellow liquid ran under the door.

"And now, a personal warning to you from Captain Man and Kid Danger."

"Never reveal the secret!" My dad instructed.

"Or this could happen to you!" Henry threatened, pointing to the screen. My dad moved Henry's hand so it wasn't blocking his face.

A watermelon with a face on it appeared. "Hey friend, guess what!? Captain Man is really Ray Manchester and Arabella Manchester is his daughter! And Kid Danger, why he's really a boy named Henry Hart. Ain't that a juicy secret!" The watermelon giggled until it got smashed into pieces by a mallet. My dad and Henry appeared on screen, shaking their heads and fingers.

"Don't do it!"

The video ended and Jasper turned to us as the screen lifted up.

"Any questions?" Henry asked.

"How'd you guys get that watermelon to talk?" Jasper asked us.

This is why I'm friends with Jasper.

"Help!"

We all heard a female voice cry and I recognized that voice.

"Wait, what was that?" Henry asked.

"Help me!"

I looked over and saw Charlotte reaching her hand out of the Auto-Snacker.

"Charlotte!" I cried as we raced over to her.

Henry and I grabbed her hand.

"Help us get her outta here!" I told my dad and he attempted to push the door opened.

"Charlotte! You're not supposed to crawl into the machine!" My dad berated and the emergency alarm blared causing us to let go of Charlotte.

"Uh-oh." I say with Henry and we go over to the monitor to check it out.

"What's going on?" Jasper asked.

We check the emergency and there was a problem at Swellview Airport.

Henry groaned. "There's an emergency at the airport!"

"Ooh, is a flight delayed?" Jasper asked and we looked at him.

"No!" I reply and my dad got out his gum along with Henry.

"C'mon, kid..." My dad walked by us and Henry follows.

"What are you guys gonna do?" Jasper asked as she chewed on their gum.

"We've got a crime to thwart."

"At the Swellview Airport."

"Oh, the rhymes..." I sigh and Henry rolled his eyes at me.

"Whoa. Do you guys plan those rhymes?" Jasper asked.

"Uh, no. No."

"No. They're super organic." My dad and Henry both shook their heads and I scoffed.

They would be better if they were planned.

"Wait, what about Charlotte?" Jasper asked.

They put their fingers up and blew a bubble. The bubble popped and they transformed into Captain Man and Kid Danger.

We ran over to the snack machine.

"Hey, Charlotte, how's it going in there?" My dad asked her.

"It's going bad!" She yelled. "Get me out of this thing!"

"We can't! We've got an emergency!" My dad protested.

"I'm an emergency!" Charlotte exclaimed.

"Well, I mean, can you breathe okay?" Henry asked her and all we heard was muffled screaming.

"Okay, what'd she say?" I asked.

"Uh, I'm pretty sure she said, 'Hey, I'm good, you guys do whatcha gotta do." My dad answered.

"Okay." Henry agreed and I rolled my eyes.

"Don't worry, Char. Schwoz'll be back here in, like, two or three hours." Henry assured Charlotte.

Henry kissed my cheek before he and my dad ran over to the tubes.

"Two or three hours?!"

"Wait!" Jasper called before my dad and Henry left. "What am I supposed to do while you guys are out fighting crime?"

"Just go up to Junk-N-Stuff and watch the store!" Henry instructed him.

"But I have some questions about my job!" Jasper objected.

"We'll answer all your questions right after we say 'Up the tube.'" My dad said.

"Up the tube!"

My dad and Henry got shot up the tubes and I quickly left the room before Jasper could ask me anything.

Schwoz returned after a couple of hours and we both were trying to get Charlotte out of the Auto-Snacker. Schwoz had to physically go inside the machine and attempt to pull her out. It's not Charlotte that's the problem, it's the machine and how wedged she is in there.

"Okay, I've got the head!" Schwoz called and he pulled her head out of the machine. I grabbed onto her head and we tried to yank her out. The alarm blared and my dad and Henry returned and I see my dad holding a large finata.

"Oh, what a pretty fish you have!" Schwoz smiled.

"You're squeezing my head to hard!" Charlotte grunted.

"Well, what do you want us to do?!" I asked her.

"Let go!"

"Okay."

"Kk."

We released her and she got sucked back inside, screaming.

"Uh, did Charlotte just get sucked into-"

"Relax, I'll get her out in a minute." Schwoz assured Henry. "Why do you have that thing?"

"This thing is a finata." My dad said and I heard buzzing from the inside, which made me uncomfortable.

"Yeah, see, it's like a piñata, but, like, fish-themed." Henry explained.

"We know what a finata is." I mock Henry and he pokes my cheek, causing me to smack his hand away.

"Well, I bet you don't know that this finata is filled with live Zom-bees." My dad explained and Schwoz yelled, running behind the couch.

"Ayee!"

"What?!" I asked and grabbed Henry in fear, who chuckled and rubbed my back.

"You can't bring Zom-bees into the Man Cave!" Schwoz berated. "If that finata breaks, they will fly into our ears and munch on our brains!"

"We know."

"Yeah, so, how do we get rid of it?" Henry asked as I pulled away, but he kept his arm around my waist.

"Uh, take it upstairs to Junk-N-Stuff." My dad suggested and handed Henry the finata, causing me to back away. "I'll call animal control and have em' come pick up that finata of death."

"Okay, I'll bring it upstairs." Henry agreed and walked to the elevator.

"Don't forget to change your clothes." My dad advised him.

"Oh yeah." Henry said and stumbled, almost dropping the finata.

"Henry!" I exclaimed.

"Hey hey!"

"Geez, Henry!"

"Careful with that thing!" I warn him.

"Guys, chill out I'm not gonna drop it!" Henry assured us, pouring a gum ball into his mouth.

"Do you have it?" I asked him.

"Yeah." Henry said.

"Are you good?" My dad asked him as Henry opened the elevator doors.

"It's fine!"

"Are you good?" My dad repeated.

"Ray...it's fine!"

"Okay." My dad sighed as Henry walked into the elevator. We heard a noise and we turned to see that Henry had dropped the finata and I raised my eyebrow.

Henry presses the button and the doors closed on him.

I feel like that finata will cause a problem.

As Henry went to do this, the three of us attempted to pull Charlotte out of the machine, but she wouldn't budge and we needed another pair of hands. My dad called Henry to get him down here so we have a better chance to get Charlotte free.

Henry came down, but Charlotte was still wedged inside and even with the four of us she wasn't moving.

"Pull!" I yell.

"She's still stuck!"

"Ahhh!"

Suddenly, Charlotte got sucked in and we all stumbled back as the door shut on us.

"Well, how are we gonna get her out of there?" My dad asked with panic.

"Ehhh...."

"Oh!" I beamed. "What about this?"

I placed my hand on the machine. "Charlotte."

"Charlotte."

The door opened and Charlotte came flying out of the machine.

The four of us cheered when she landed.

"Hey!!!"

"It's a girl!"

"You okay?" Henry asked as Charlotte stood up and she glared at us.

"No! I'm not okay! And I still never got my scrambled eggs!" Charlotte matched up to the machine.

"Scrambled eggs."

The door opens and squirted hot eggs all over Charlotte and I gaped in shock.

She turns to us with egg all over her face.

"You, uh, you got some-"

She glared at my dad and he stopped talking.

The communicator beeped and Henry went up to the monitor.

"That's Jasper, upstairs." Henry answered. "Hey Jasper, what's up?"

"There's two guys here from animal control asking about some Zom-bees." Jasper told us.

"Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah!"

"Yeah, yeah, Jasper!" My dad interrupted. "The Zom-bees are inside the purple finata."

"Oh. I sold the finata." Jasper said and this shocked us.

"Great, then just give it to- You sold the finata!?" My dad gasped in horror.

"Yeah! And a waterbed!" Jasper added.

"Well, who'd you sell it to?!" Henry asked in worry.

"Piper."

"Pi-" Henry gasped in horror. "My sister!"

It's always Piper. Always.

My dad ended the call and Henry was in shock and disbelief.

"Do you realize what will happen if those Zom-bees get outta that finata?" My dad asked us.

"Okay, okay, don't worry about it." I assured everyone, rubbing Henry's back. "I'm pretty sure Piper just took it home and put it in her room or something."

I hope.

Jasper came downstairs and we were gonna find out where the finata and Piper could be.

"How could you give my sister a finata full of death bugs?!" Henry asked Jasper with my dad mimicking his arm movements.

"I didn't know there were bugs in it." Jasper protested.

"Well, there are!" My dad exclaimed. "There's at least fifty Zom-bees inside that finata!"

"Okay, yelling a Jasper isn't gonna help anything!" Charlotte cut in, wiping the egg off her body and face.

"Thank you!" Jasper sighed.

"Do you realized how dangerous those bees are?" My dad asked Jasper.

"Yah! They fly into your head, through you ears, and then they feed upon your brain." Schwoz explained to Jasper, showing him a pic of a brain. Charlotte sighed and touched Jasper's tie.

"You should not have worn that tie."

Henry went up to Jasper. "Okay, did my sister say she was going anywhere?"

"Uh...yeah! Some friend of hers' birthday party!" Jasper informed us and my dad and I stood behind them.

"Oh yeah, uh...Gabby Birch!" Henry gasped.

"Who's Gabby Birch!?" My dad asked.

"Her friend!" Henry answered. "C'mon! Let's blow and go!"

"No, are you insane!?" My dad protested, stopping Henry from leaving.

"What?"

"We can't just run in there as Captain Man and Kid Danger and be like, 'Hey kids! We're here at the party because we were worried that some killer bugs might fly into you heads and eat your brains out! Happy birthday, Gabby!"

"All right!" Henry groaned. "All right, then... we just gotta sneak in, grab the finata, and get outta there fast."

"Okay."

"Oh, come on!" Charlotte protested.

"What?" Henry asked.

"How are you guys gonna sneak into a birthday party without being seen?" I asked them and the two of them thought of ways to get in.

It was a stupid idea, but at the same time was a clever one.

Please listen. I'm trying my god damn hardest to keep these updates almost everyday, but I hate getting pressured to update. Someone is begging me to update constantly and I get stressed the frick out when that happens. So please be patient with me, when I get stressed I don't write and that could affect this book. I have chapters written, but that's because all weekend I have a dance convention/competition and I won't be able to write. So, I have some ready to be published this weekend and if I miss a day, I'm sorry. Please be patient, I need that😔
