PART 431-440💌
431.
Later on, Tae found out that Jungkook was bisexual.
And you know, as both of them are actually slowly forming feelings for each other, they decided to try out things.
They officially went in a relationship together.
They did just as what couples would do — cuddles, dates, flattering words, monthsaries, anniversaries, and everything.
They were happy, really.
They’ve been in a relationship for 3 years now, and its really going well.
But as they say, secrets can ruin a relationship. And communication is really important.
But none of them cheated, none of them lost time for each other. Its just that, for the both of them — especially Tae — there was something missing.
432.— he'll never be
433.— still love him
435.— best friend
Fast forward on Jungkook’s wedding — he’s finally getting married.
Tae was his best man, he’s his best friend after all. And Tae knew he had finally moved on.
He’s happy for Jungkook, because he finally found the person whom he’ll spend his life with.
Tae smiled, he had finally accepted his fate.
He had fully lost hope that he’ll find another Captain Jeon in this life. He didn’t want to wait for another one again, because he knew that his heart only belongs to Captain.
Maybe, its time for him to move forward.
Right now, Taehyung was getting ready for sleep. He’s now 45, still unmarried, and he didn’t want to get married anymore if the groom isn’t Captain.
His brother was staying in his house with his wife who’s 9 months pregnant, almost giving birth.
He let them stay in his house first, because Taerin had just built a house for him & his wife. So for the mean time while its not yet finished, theyre staying here.
Their aunt is staying here too, because Tae is all alone in this house, and she thought that he’ll be lonely.
Tae changed onto his pajamas, he turned off the lamp light, and was ready to lay on his bed when a shower of glittery light appeared in front of him.
He was surprised, felt a bit of fear and was ready to fight.
But then he recognized those sparkles.
There appeared a person he’s never seen in the past years.
“Ms. Fairy?” He cried, eyes bawling in surprise.
The woman smiled at him, she’s still the same fairy from back then. And it doesn’t look like she aged.
“Taehyung! Oh god, its been years!”
They excitedly hugged each other, both of them were overwhelmed.
“I thought I’ll never see you again!” Tae cried, feeling so happy to see the fairy again.
“Well me too, but I forgot to tell you something.” She laughed and scratched the back of her head.
“What is it?” Tae asked, sitting back down on the bed.
“You have one wish left.” She said while holding her wand.
Tae furrowed his brows in confusion.
“One wish left? But I never made a wish right now?”
The fairy was actually expecting this.
“Well, that moment you wished to go back in the past, you already made your first wish. I found you that time, and its like...I became your genie.”
Tae looked at her, not being able to process it.
“What was my...second wish?”
The fairy was hesitating to speak, because she knew that Tae was quite sensitive about this.
“You wished for Jungkook to live long and stay with you, right? Do you remember that night?” She asked gently.
And Tae felt an ache in his heart.
“Yes.”
“That was your second wish. Captain lived a hundred years and more, and he stayed with you by heart.” She sighed and smiled.
Tears were again forming on Tae’s eyes. He thought he’ll never cry about that again, but he’s wrong.
“And its now time for your last wish.”
Tae quickly wiped his tears before it fell. “Why are you telling this to me just now?!”
“I’m sorry okay?! I have a lot of jobs and I totally forgot about your last wish. That’s why I’m here to finally finish everything.”
Tae sighed, he felt troubled.
“Tae, I know you’re still thinking about him. And I want you to think about your wish very carefully. I don’t want you regret anything again.”
Tae thought she was right. He needs to think of this carefully.
“Do I really need to make a wish now? As in right now?”
The fairy nodded as she played with her hair. “Of course! Duh, I can’t wait forever.”
Tae bit his lip, “Can you atleast give me 5 minutes?” He asked.
The fairy thought of it, and maybe she can give him some time.
“Sure, just 5 minutes okay!”
Out of silence, Tae could hear the clock ticking.
He was very focused on thinking about his last wish, and finally, he had decided.
“I know my wish now.” He said.
“That fast? It has just been 30 seconds? But okay.”
The fairy waved her wand in the air, and it created trails of glittery lights like magic.
“Are you ready Tae?”
Tae heaved a sigh, and he knew he had to be ready.
“I am.”
The fairy smiled. “In the count of three, state your wish, okay?”
Tae was nervous, hands feeling so cold.
“1...”
“2...”
“3...”
And that night, Tae had finally made his last wish. And its the wish he’s been wanting all his life.
[ THE NEXT DAY ]
Taerin barged in Taehyung’s room, holding a trumpet. He blew it and it created a loud noise, he did that in purpose to wake up his brother.
“Happy Birthday to the most stubborn person in the world!”
He cried and laughed.
His wife — Chaeyoung came in, wearing a birthday hat, and holding her rounded belly.
“Happy birthday Taehyung-ssi! Wake up now!” She cried. She treated Tae like her own brother too.
Their aunt came in, holding a birthday cake. “Taehyung-ssi! Wake up, its ur birthday!”
“Hyung! Come on! Wake up now or I’ll throw you some cold water.” Taerin hopped onto the bed and shook his brother to wake him up.
But Tae was just still, eyes closed.
“Taehyung-ssi! We prepared a cake for you!” Their aunt said.
But Taehyung, still no response.
“Taehyung-ssi, wake up!” Chaeyoung gently patted him on the shoulder.
“Oh you want some tickles huh?” Taerin cried, and quickly ran his fingers onto Tae’s side to tickle him because he usually reacts quick to this.
But they’re quite alarmed when Tae did not even budge.
“Taehyung?” Their aunt shook him to wake him up.
“Taehyung-ssi, its not funny.” Chaeyoung cried, not amused if ever Tae was joking around.
“Hyung stop it, wake up.” Taerin said, a bit pissed.
Their aunt checked his pulse, and she cried.
“Auntie...why are you crying...?” Chaeyoung asked, gently holding the woman.
“His...his pulse...its not beating anymore.” She cried, holding tight onto Tae’s hand.
Taerin stood there frozen, he didn’t want to believe her.
He shook his brother. “Hyung! Wake up!”
Until the room was full of crying, they still couldn’t believe that Tae was probably gone.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, Chaeyoung felt pain right on her stomach.
She thought it was just a random pain, but as seconds went by, the pain was growing more.
She held onto her belly, trying to ease the pain. But its just getting stronger.
“H-Honey...” Chaeyoung called, and she caught the two’s attention.
“Chae? W-What’s going on? Are you okay?” Taerim panicked, going quickly towards his wife with tears on his eyes.
Until Chaeyoung couldn’t hold back the pain anymore.
“Aaagh!” She cried, tears forming in her eyes in pain. Their auntie panicked too, and maybe she knew what was happening.
“Chae, your waters broke! You’re giving birth!”
Taerim panicked. “I’ll ready the car okay!” He quickly ran in the speed of light.
The car was finally ready, and Chae was crying in pain, she’s in the car now.
They got Tae in the car too, they still need to bring him into the hospital for assurance.
But little did they know, that Tae’s wish was just starting.
“My last wish, is for me and Captain’s story to repeat again — but this time, a happy ending will count.”
Taerin felt he heart jump when he saw his son for the first time after 9 months.
But his emotions were a mess right now, because despite of having another addition in the family, they lost one too.
“How’s your brother?” Chae asked.
Taerin sighed. “He’s gone.”
Chae felt sad too, they did not even get to thank him for assisting her and her husband.
Taerin was an engineer, and Chae was an interior designer. Taehyung helped the both of them graduate and start with their life as a married couple.
“Actually...I dreamt of Taehyung-ssi last night. He told me something about a necklace.” Chae said.
Taerin furrowed his brows in confusion. “Necklace?”
“I don’t actually understand but he told me to name our son after him, and give our son the necklace in his cabinet.”
Taerin thought a little, he’s suddenly remembering that necklace that Tae always refuse to take off.
“I think I know that necklace.” He said.
“I named our son Taehyung, not just because of my dream, but also as a thanks to him for helping the both of us.”
Chae carefully gave Taerin the baby who’s wrapped in a blue towel.
Their little one looks angelic. “We lost hyung, but they gave us our son. I think, that’s fair enough.”
Taerin smiled, lovingly gazing at his son.
“Taehyung — Kim Taehyung — Welcome to the world, my love.”
[ 7 YEARS LATER ]
“Just hold on a second baby, I’ll just call dad. Okay?”
Chae told her 7 year old son — Taehyung — who’s patiently playing with his airplane toy.
They’re currently in school — that same school where Taerin graduated.
There are lots of people — not only students, but also parents and some other family members.
There’s a competition going on — writing contests, poster making, collage making and etc.
Since Taerin graduated here, he’s chosen as the speaker for the quiz bee competition.
Chae was busy talking on the phone, but she’s still keeping her eyes on her son.
Tae was quietly playing with his toy when he heard cries from far beside him.
The kid got curious. He looked behind him, only to see a little boy crying under that tree.
It was THAT tree.
At first, he was just staring, silently judging the kid.
But you know, he’s in the age of exploring things. He slowly walked towards that boy, who’s crouching on the ground as he cry.
It wasn’t much far from his mom, so he’s fine.
“Why are you crying?” He softly asked.
The little boy looked up, tears falling down his eyes. “Go away! My mommy told me not to talk to strangers!”
Tae pouted, but he thought of an idea. “My name is Kim Taehyung.”
The little boy frowned at him.
“I’m not a stranger anymore. So you can talk to me now.”
The little boy thought he had a point. But he still refused to answer.
“I’m not a bad person.” Tae pouted, really wanting to befriend the little boy.
The boy sniffed on his snots. “R-Really?”
Tae nodded with his boxy smile. “Whats your name?”
The little boy was still hesitating, but he still spoke.
“M-My name is Jeon Jungkook.”
The boy said in between his sobs. Tae knelt a little to be fair to his height.
They’re ages are 2 years apart.
“Why are you crying Gukkie?” Tae asked.
“I can’t find my mommy.” He let out a loud sob, and tears fell down his cheeks again.
“You mea, you’re lost?” Tae asked, and Jungkook nodded.
“I was j-just looking at toys but when I looked b-back, I can’t find my mommy a-anymore.”
Tae held the younger’s hand, and gently pulled him up to stand.
“Come on Gukkie, I’ll save you.” Tae said, acting all tough as he remember all the cartoons he watched.
“S-Save me?” Jungkook asked, eyes hurting in tears.
“Yes! We’ll find your mommy.”
Tae was holding Jungkook’s hand tight, really taking responsibility of him being the older.
They went to Tae’s mom. And just at that moment, Chae ended a call.
“Mommy! We need to help him.” Tae cried, begging for his mom.
Chae was surprised to see another kid.
She knelt down onto their height. “Hello little guy! What’s your name?” Chae asked.
Jungkook was still sobbing. “M-My name is J-Jungkook.”
“Mommy he’s lost! We need to help him.” Tae cried.
Chae saw how tight their hands were on each others. She thought its cute.
“Oh, is that so?” Chae stood up and held his son’s hand.
“Let’s go to the guard. We’ll ask him to give you a shout out so your mommy will find you easier. Okay?” She smiled, and gently patted the boy’s head.
“See Gukkie? We’ll find your mommy soon!”
“O-Okay.”
As they finally reached the guard, Chae asked him to give the kid a shout out for his mother to find him.
They were just waiting for the mother to come.
The two kids were sitting on the bench as they wait.
Jungkook was surprised when Tae tickled him.
“Hey! Why did you tickle me?” Jungkook laughed a bit.
“Cuz you’re not smiling. Don’t be sad, your mommy’s gonna come soon!” Tae tickled him again.
“H-Hey! Stop!” Jungkook giggled.
Until the two were having fun tickling each other and laughing together.
Jungkook noticed the odd pendant of the necklace that was on Tae’s neck.
“What is that?” The boy asked, looking straight at the pendant.
“Oh, this?” Tae held the pendant on his smol palm.
“Mommy said, this is from my uncle.”
“Where’s your uncle?” Jungkook asked.
“They said he’s an angel now.” Tae sadly said. He felt a bit sad not even meeting his uncle.
“Oh...that’s okay. He’s an angel.” Jungkook said, but he’s still curious.
“Why is the pendant like that?”
Tae did the pendant sign on his hand, lifting all his index, pinky and thumb. He’s still having troubles on maintaining it since his hands are still smol.
“Its like this!” Tae showed Jungkook, and the younger imitated it.
“Like this?” Jungkook showed him, and Tae nodded.
“My dad said it means ‘i love you’. Because it’s three.” Tae explained.
Jungkook looked at his hand, and tapped the lifted fingers as he say the word.
“I! Love! You!”
“I love you!”
The both of them playfully shouted.
“I love you!”
Jungkook pointed his hands onto Tae.
The older giggled and pointed his hands onto Jungkook too.
“I love you too!”
And you know, one of the most beautiful things in the world, was a child’s innocence.
“Oh, Jungkook-ah, I think that’s your mommy.” Chae called and pointed at the woman running towards them.
Jungkook paused a little, and his cute doe eyes bawled when he saw his mother.
“Mommy!”
He hopped down the bench and ran to his mom.
The lady had tears in her eyes, and she quickly scooped the little boy in her arms as she tightly hug him.
“I’m sorry baby, I’m so careless. I thought I’ll loose you forever!” She cried as she gave Jungkook soft kisses.
Chae and Tae stood there, watching them happily.
The woman noticed the both of them.
“Are you the ones who found my son?” She asked. Even before Chae could speak, she’s surprised that the woman knelt down infront of her.
“Thank you so, so much for you kindness!” She cried.
Chae helped her stand up.
“No ma’am, its okay! It was actually my son who found him.”
The woman smiled towards Tae. “Thank you so much, little guy.” She said.
Tae bowed in 90 degrees, almost loosing his balance.
“Thank you!”
“No baby, you ‘say you’re welcome’.”
“Oh oops, you’re welcome!”
All of them were endeared at that cute moment.
Jungkook ran towards Tae and gave him a hug. “Thank you hyungie!”
Tae hugged back. “Don’t forget me, Gukkie!” He said as they broke the hug.
“I won’t,” Jungkook showed him the ‘i-love-you’ sign. “I’ll remember this.”
[ 15 YEARS LATER ]
438.
Jimin let out a loud sob as tears fell down his eyes.
It was on that same university, and they’re college students. Tae and Jimin are both up on the rooftop to have some privacy.
“Oh come on! He’s not a loss! He sucks!” Tae cried, cheering up his best friend.
Jimin was almost choking on his cries, he wiped his tears.
“You think I’m crying over that guy? No! I’m crying over giving him my first kiss! I thought he’s the right one but he failed me.” Jimin cried.
Tae sighed, he doesn’t actually know what to say.
Because he’s never been in a relationship— maybe just flings? Or puppy loves? But a serious relationship with real love? He’s never experienced that.
Even though sometimes Jimin & him fight, he still hated seeing his own best friend crying.
He snatched Jimin’s phone.
“Hey! What the hell?!” Jimin cried.
“What are you doing?! Give me back my phone!”
Jimin was trying to reach for his phone on Tae’s hand, but Tae was taller than him.
“No! I’ll make sure to leak his photos you showed me! That’s what he’ll get from hurting you!”
Jimin’s eyes bawled. “Are you crazy?! He’ll know its me—Give it back!”
Tae was raising the phone as he try to type. He logged in onto his anonymous account and sent the video of Jimin’s ex-bf to their school files.
Tae knew it’ll ruin that guy’s image but he deserves it.
Jimin got on a bench to reach the phone from Tae’s hand.
But it was too late for him because Tae had already ran and made his way towards the stairs down the rooftop.
“Kim Taehyung!”
Jimin shouted as he ran after him.
Tae was down on the 4th floor, meeting some students.
He keep saying ‘excuse-me’s’ as he try not to bump into students. He was giggling as he run because he knew Jimin was after him.
As he run, he tried to type the context to send it to their school files account.
Luckily, he looked up, and saw that Jimin was on the other side of the hallway that he’s taking.
He laughed in surprised and quickly took turns, going back to where he came from.
The floor was a but slippery, but he can manage it.
He took the other stairs down to the 3rd floor on the left side of the hallway because Jimin was on the right.
He’s almost stumbling on the stairs as he tried to avoid the students he ran onto.
A lot were looking at him because of his running.
Just as soon as he got down the stairs, Jimin was almost near.
He was so surprised that he made a huge flinch. His laughter echoed through the hallway.
Tae quickly took turns and went on the left side instead, meeting their President Council.
“Kim Taehyung, no running!” Lisa cried, watching Tae ran continuously.
She rolled her eyes in annoyance. “Gosh, that brat.” She said and left.
But before she could, she also saw Jimin running in the hallway.
“Park Jimin, stop right there!” She cried.
Jimin tried to stop on running by his feet, & he did, but he slipped as the floor was slippery & his speed was too much.
His butt hit the floor. “Ouch!” Jimin cried &stood up. “Isn’t it the ‘no running in hallways’ a policy here now?”
Jimin scratched the back of his head.
“I’m sorry President, my bestfriend is just—“ Jimin reasoned out.
“You’re a peace officer, okay? Do your job or I will charge you with this.” Lisa said, and Jimin nodded.
After Lisa left, Jimin stomped his feet in annoyance.
“Gosh! I even got scolded!”
While Taehyung kept running with the thought that Jimin was still after him.
As he ran, he tried to look back for him, somehow unable to control his speed.
“Is he still after m—AH!”
Tae cried as he bumped onto someone, and they fell down the ground.
The impact was really hard. Tae’s eyes was shut tight with the fear of hitting the ground.
But instead, he just felt arms around him and he heard a loud groan.
They slid on the floor with the impact, and everyone was looking at them.
As the slide stopped, Tae was holding his breath, and he slowly opened his eyes.
On to realize that he was on top of a person, that’s why he didn’t hit the ground.
He saw the person’s face, and he really is in pain.
“Ouch! That hurts.” He groaned.
Tae panicked as he saw the guy’s elbows, and its somehow bruises.
He quickly got up and helped the guy get up too.
“Oh no I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to! I-I wasn’t looking on my way, I’m really sorry!” Tae cried, almost tearing up in nervousness.
The guy stood up, and brushes his fingers through his hair as it was covering his eyes.
He felt the pain on his elbow. “Its okay, I wasn’t looking on my way too.” He apologized.
Tae felt so guilty as he look at the guys wound, its bleeding.
“Its bleeding! Come on, let’s take you to the clinic!” Tae held his wrist.
“Hey no! Its okay, I can handle this.” He said with a sincere smile. But Tae insisted.
“Please, I really feel guilty. Just let me take you to the clinic, okay?”
The guy couldn’t resist anymore, he just let Tae take him towards the clinic.
And he thought that Tae’s grip on his wrist was really cute, he’s really worried and guilty.
As the arrive there, the nurse immediately aided the guy’s wound.
And Tae just stood on the waiting area inside the clinic, holding tight onto his phone.
He’s really nervous, maybe he was being a bit careless. He bit his lip to stop himself from tearing up, he’s like a baby.
“Hey,” the guy called, and Tae flinched in surprise.
“O-Oh, are you okay now? Did the nurse say something? Do I have to pay for some—“
Tae was cut when the guy giggled a bit. There’s now a band-aid like on his elbow.
“Don’t panic, I’m totally fine. Its just a wound, not a stab.” He said.
Tae gulped, he bowed down in 90 degrees. “I’m really sorry for what happened, I didn’t mean to do that and It was really my fault for not looking into—“
As Tae say his apology speech, the guy noticed the necklace that was hanging down on Tae’s neck while he’s bowing.
His eyes narrowed, trying to know if he’s seeing it right.
“I’m sorry to ask but...where did you get that necklace?”
The guy hesitantly asked, not wanting to make Tae uncomfortable.
Tae was taken a back, “O-Oh, this necklace?” He held the pendant on his hand.
“This isn’t actually mine. My parents gave this to me when I was still young. B-But they said that its from my late uncle.”
Tae explained, holding tight onto the pendant.
“W-Why do you ask?” He’s still nervous.
Jungkook shook his head and smiled. “Nothing, I just remembered someone from that necklace.”
Tae’s brows frowned. “You mean to say, you’ve seen someone with this necklace before?”
Jungkook nodded, “Yeah, but that’s a long time ago. You just probably have the same necklace.”
Tae looked at him suspicious, grip getting tight on the pendant.
“Are you serious? But as far as I know, only my family have this kind of necklace. So how come?”
The guy also got confused. “I don’t know? But I really saw that be—“
The guy paused. “Wait a second,”
The guy looked at Tae like he’s inspecting him.
“Are you perhaps...Kim Taehyung?” The guy asked, feeling nervous too.
Tae’s brow cocked, feeling surprised. “How did you know my name?”
The guy face literally lit up as he smiled when Tae said that.
The guy showed him the same exact sign that he’s never ever forgotten.
The ‘i-love-you’ sign.
Tae’s eyes bawled, hand covering his mouth in surprised.
“Wait, you’re really Jungkook?!” Tae cried as he look at the guy in front of him.
Because as far as he can remember, the Jungkook he saw back then was cute, eyes so round and it has stars in his pupils. His voice is so tiny and Tae was taller than him back then.
But now, the Jungkook he’s seeing is all grown up, and he’s somehow taller than Tae now.
“Yes! You thought me this sign right? When I was lost?” Jungkook cried.
Tae ran to him for a hug. Both felt so happy because they thought they won’t see each other again.
“Oh my, its been so long! You look different!” Tae laughed.
“Yeah, you too.” Jungkook said.
They were still talking for awhile, not being able to find each other’s childhood friend.
Until someone came inside the clinic.
“Oh, Captain! They told me you’re here. What happened?”
Tae felt scared, because he’s the reason why Jungkook is in the clinic.
“Just a little wound, but I’m okay.” He told the guy wearing a jersey uniform.
“Oh, this is Taehyungie-hyung, my friend. Hyung, this is Yoongi-hyung, my teammate.”
They bowed to each other. “You’re a Captain?” Tae asked.
Yoongi nodded, running an arm around Jungkook, as he act proud.
“Yes! He’s a basketball Captain. He’s really good, you know? Do you want to see our practice—aw!”
Jungkook laughed as he pinched Yoongi’s ears.
“Don’t say that, he might be uncomfortable.”
Tae shook his head and smiled. “No! Its fine, and is it really okay to see you guys practicing?” Tae asked.
And Yoongi nodded quickly, “Of course! Why don’t you cheer for him?”
Jungkook pulled him onto the side where Tae couldn’t hear the both of them.
“What are you doing? You’re exposing me!” Jungkook cried.
“What? I’m helping you with him. Isn’t he your friend with that necklace you told me? You said you have a crush on—“
“Shh!”
The three got out from the clinic, but as they open the door, they saw Jimin in the front.
His expressions changed when he saw Taehyung. “There you are you motherfucker—AH!”
Jimin stepped on a spilled water and almost slipped, but luckily, Yoongi held his hand.
Yoongi being Yoongi, he winked at Jimin.
Jimin quickly got up and shook his hands off him. “Thanks.” He said without even looking at him, still traumatized at guys like those because he just came in a breakup.
“Am I gonna see you later?” Jungkook asked Tae.
Tae smiled and nodded. “I think so. My next classes are on the afternoon so I’ll have a lot of time today. See you?”
Jungkook couldn’t help but to smile. “Okay then, see you.”
Yoongi and Jungkook left, but Jimin heard what Yoongi said.
“That other guy is so rude!”
“I heard that bitch!” Jimin shouted back and tucked his tongue out at Yoongi who’s rolling his eyes at him.
“Looks like you got yourself another man huh?” Tae teased, and Jimin smacked him on the arm.
“I’m gonna kill you! I got scolded because of you!”
It was full of laughter, and Tae didn’t know why his heart was beating so fast.
That moment when they fell together, an image suddenly popped in his mind like a flashback but its very vague.
Not knowing that it was actually their past.
