They both went back to the forest from yesterday.

Even though they’re still both in fear about the presence of snakes, Tae was too stubborn for Bogum to say ‘no’.

They’re both at the edge above the lake, and just by the view, Tae felt scared again.

“Yeah, I’m not backing out. Why? Are you scared?” Tae challenged, and Bogum clicked his tongue.

“You’re challenging me now?”

Tae shrugged his shoulders and let out a playful smile. He just wanted to enjoy and at the same time calm his fears.

But he was startled when Bogum started to take off his shirt, revealing a nice and toned body.

He was frozen, out of words. What the fuck.

“Should I go first? Or should I guide you again?” He asked, but Tae couldn’t look straight.

“I-I can do this! You can go first if you want!” He gathered all his strength to look at him...

Without thinking, Tae immediately held onto the vine and swung over, then he let it go to dive right onto the water.

He rose up the water only to hear Bogum laughing in joy, “Great job!” He praised.

Tae ran his fingers through his hair and wiped the water from his face. “Sure is!” He cried and laughed.

Bogum’s eyes suddenly landed onto something where it shouldn’t.

Tae went up on the rocks beside the lake. The water level is just right on his waist.

His clothes were wet that’s why It’s hugging onto Tae’s figure, and its thin enough for Bogum to see through.

Bogum immediately looked away and gulped. He shouldn’t have agreed with this.

The damn waist, that sexy back & that cake — oops! Eyes closed.

He distracted himself by diving down then rose up again. His heart was beating so fast, and he hated it. He hated it so much.

“I’m gonna try it one last time.” Tae cried and went back up the edge.

It was quite dangerous for him to look up, but luckily Tae’s clothes weren’t tight on his figures now.

He smiled and lifted a thumbs up to make sure that Tae is encouraged.

“How about don’t hold on the vine? Just a try?” He suggested.

Tae thought about it, he felt so scared since he’s not so sure about it.

“Huh? But I’m scared—“ he was surprised when he saw Bogum right on his side.

“S-Since when did you get up here?” Tae cried.

“You look scared, I’ll guide you first then you jump on your own.”

“Okay—WAIT—AAH!” He was surprised when Bogum suddenly held his close and lifted him, then they dove together into the lake.

Tae immediately rose as soon as he gathered strength.

He splashed water onto Bogum, “You can’t just do that! I thought I was gonna die!” He cried.

Bogum laughed at his cute reaction. “Things are better when unplanned.” He splashed back and Tae flinched.

“Oh so you’re the one challenging me now?” He let out a cocky smile.

He splashed back, until they’re just enjoying slapping the water and splashing it to each other.

Laughs and giggles echoed through the surroundings of the lake.

“Okay, okay, stop.” Tae cried and he’s almost in tears because of laughing too hard.

It was quite odd, and its nothing special.

But for Bogum, Tae looked so beautiful. His hair was messy, and the ends we’re meeting his face so gracefully.

His face looked radiant and he looked alot amazing when he smiles.

His laugh was music for his ears.

And he was glad that Tae did not notice. And he should never.

Because he didn’t want to mess up his feelings, and he didn’t want to mess up with Captain.

One sided love I guess?

It’s enough for him that they’re friends, but he’s sad that there can’t be more.

They dried themselves first and started walk again towards their own houses.

Tae’s clothes we’re still wet, but its not that obvious since Bogum let him wear his cardigan because he might get a cold.

On their way, Bogum stopped on his tracks. “Oh shit.”

“Why?” Tae asked and looked at the direction where Bogum is looking.

He was startled when Bogum pulled him behind a wall and told him to quiet. “Shhh, I just saw my younger brother. I think I’ll finally catch him with his girlfriend.”

He said and peeked behind the wall.

Tae peeked too due to curiosity. “Oh, I think that’s his girlfriend.”

Tae furrowed his brows to see clearer. “Yeah I think so too. The girl looks familiar...” he muttered.

And it hit him hard when he realize that she’s really familiar.

Its Jennie, his younger sister.

Tae’s eyes immediately bawled. “What the fuck.” He muttered and went out the hiding place, Bogum looks startled.

“JENNIE!” Tae shouted, and it caught the twos attention. Jennie looks so doomed.

“T-Taehyung-ssi?” She stuttered.

He immediately pulled his sister by her ear, “You, you, you! You little miss ‘sit still look pretty’!”

“Ouch!” Jennie cried and massaged her ear. “You had a boyfriend already on your age!?” He cried.

“Then you’re just flirting? You’re too young for this! You need to finish your studies!”

“But Jimin is nice! He’s not gonna do anything, and I like him!”

Tae was shut by her words. He was frozen on his place when he realized one fucking thing.

“His name is Jimin?”

Jennie smiled and nodded. “Yeah! He has a nice name right?” She giggled.

Tae looked back to see the boy, Bogum was scolding him too.

But he was so in shock when finally connected the dots.

It was Sunday, and he had nothing to do since Jungkook isn’t around, he has no one to investigate on.

So he just went outside, and probably visit someone? He felt so bored and he can’t just sit there in the corner and wait for Jungkook.

He was in the capital market. It’s very crowded, and lots of things are happening. Business, selling things, eateries and other stores.

He’s been here before, but he did not memorize the places around. So its easy to say,

That he’s quite lost.

But luckily, after some minutes of looking around, he finally found him.

He went towards their stall as soon as he got the chance to get out of the crowd.

“What brings you here?” Bogum asked while preparing the potatoes in front of the stall.

Tae was right, he was here since he told him that he works here every weekends.

“Nothing, I got a bit bored. Can I help?”

Bogum’s eyes bawled at his words, “You wanted to help? Are you used at this? You look like you’re being fed with a golden spoon.” He joked, and Tae shrugged.

“I’m not used, but I can try. If its okay?”

Suddenly, a woman who looks like in her 40s came out from the stall. Bogum immediately stood up.

“This is my mother, Heena. Mom, this is my friend, Taehyung.” His mother’s mouth flung open in surprise.

“Taehyung? Kim Taehyung? The son of the general?”

Tae flashed a smile and nodded. “Oh my! You really looked handsome as to what my son said—“

Bogum immediately meddled in the conversation in embarrassment.

“HAHA! My mom’s a comedian isn’t she?”

He laughed off and his mom have him a look. “Why? Its true—“

“Mommmm...” Bogum said and flashed his eyes at his mom. Heena laughed a bit.

“Mrs. Park, I wanted to help selling. If its okay for you?” He asked politely and Heena was quite stunned.

“Are you sure about that?” She asked, and Tae nodded with a smile.

As soon as that, Heena told him to just help Bogum on preparing the potatoes in the front of the stall.

Its just 9AM, and more people will come as time pass by. “Did you guys plant this?”

Tae asked while putting the potatoes on the wooden tray.

“Yeah, but some came from our suppliers.”

Bogum lowkey watched Tae arrange the potatoes. He really looks eager to help, and he’s not even complaining at the heat.

Maybe, that’s what’s attracting Bogum — his sincere personality.

From afar, Bogum saw some kids playing and throwing some rocks.

He was just gonna let it slide but not until he saw a sharp rock flying towards Taehyung’s direction.

His senses immediately moved and pulled Taehyung to the side.

Before Bogum could react, the sharp edge of the small rock met his face and it created and long scratch on his cheeks down to his jaw.

“Ouch...” he cried, he could’ve avoided it too, but If he did, Tae would trip since he’s holding onto his arm.

“Oh my! You kids, you better find another place to play!” Heena shouted and it quickly shooed the kids away.

“Oh no, I’m so sorry. You could’ve just pulled me!” Tae cried and inspected the long scratch.

“Are you both okay? Those kids are really getting on my nerves!”

“We’re okay mom—“

“What do you mean, you’re not!” Tae insisted. “You should go home for now and cure your wound.”

Bogum wanted to fight back and tell that its not needed but Tae agreed too.

“You’re mom is right. Let’s go cure it first.”

“Aw—ouch! Can you do it gently—aH!”

Bogum complained while Tae was damping the cloth onto his wound. “Its gentle. Its just that it’s really painful.” Tae said and poured another drop of the medicine.

“Why do you always save me?” He asked quitly.

That was just one simple question, but Bogum couldn’t find the answer to it.

Why is he always saving him when he’s in the state of trouble? Why? Why?

His head is aching by trying to find answers. Even though he knew, he couldn’t tell him.

‘Cuz I like you.’ He thought.

“I don’t know, you look awful.” He joked and Tae immediately pressed the cloth on the wound.

“AH! I WAS KIDDING!” He cried in pain and Tae smirked. “Deserved.”

After curing the wound, there’s now a leave sticking onto his side jaw as a herbal medicine.

“You can remove it after 3 hours.” He said and gathered all the things back into the kit. Good thing they have a first aid.

“Three hours? This leaf is gonna stay in my flawless face?” He asked, and Tae rolled his eyes.

“Where? Can’t see.”

They both laughed. After fixing things, they both stood up at the same time.

But since Tae was a bit clumsy, and floor was too shiny and slippery, Tae lost balance of his own body.

But he didn’t fell on the floor. What happened was worse.

He slipped and his body stumbled towards and not backwards.

Maybe it was just a curse that his lips accidentally met Bogum’s cheeks.

It met in milliseconds. But even though it was fast, it was enough to make them both frozen.

Tae immediately stepped back in shock, and Bogum was still frozen in his place.

“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it I swear! I slipped and it j-just happened to be l-like that!” Tae explained and he was cursing himself for stuttering.

“I-Its okay. It was an accident.”

Bogum gathered himself to speak, and atleast, it lessened the nervousness that Tae was feeling.

Tae quickly put the kit on the table. “I-I’ll just wait outside.” He said and left, closing the door.

And as soon as that, Bogum fell weak on his knees.

He was staring at the blank space his his heart beating so fast.

He ran fingers through his hair and let out a deep sigh.

“Captain please come back already. I don’t know if I can hold back any longer...”
