Tia Dalma

Natalia's POV

We dock in front of a shack in the forest up river and I get out of the boat with Jack & Gibbs. "No worries! Tia Dalma and I go way back... thick as thieves, nigh inseparable we are... were... have been... before..." Jack says.

"I'll watch yer back" Gibbs tells him.

"It's me front I'm worried about" Jack states and I roll my eyes.

"Mind the boat" I tell Will, before following Jack and Gibbs inside. A dark skinned woman with dreads greets Jack. Until she sees Will and tells him he has a touch of destiny about him.

"You know me?" he asks.

"You want to know me" she tells him.

"There will be no knowing here" Jack tells them.

"We've come for help and aren't leaving until we get it" I tell Tia Dalma.

"I thought I knew you" Jack says confused.

"Not as well as I'd hope, come" she tells him. Jack tells us to come as Tia sits down. "You know I demand payment" she states.

"We brought payment" I assure her as Gibbs brings Jack (the monkey) forward in a cage. Jack takes the cage and shoots the poor monkey.

"Look an undead monkey, top that" he tells her. Tia Dalma releases the monkey and he goes to another room.

"No, you have no idea how long it took us to catch that" Jack tells him. Gibbs tells her.

"The payment is fair" Tia Dalma tells us.

"We're looking for this" Will states unfolding the picture of the key.

"And what is goes to" I finish.

"The compass you bartered from me, it cannot lead you to this?" she asks.

"Maaybe, why?" Jack asks

"A Jack Sparrow does not know what he wants" she declares glancing at me and I frown. "Or you do and loathe to claim it as your own" she says smirking. "Your key goes to a chest and it's what lays inside of the chest you seek" she explains. "You know of Davy Jones? A man of the sea, a great sailor. Until he run afoul of that which vexes all men" she states.

"What vexes all men?" Will asks.

"What indeed" Tia Dalma says smirking.

"The sea" Gibbs suggests.

"Sums?" Pintel asks.

"The dichotomy of good and evil?" Ragetti adds.

"A woman" Jack and I correct them.

"A woman, he fell in love" Tia agrees.

"No, I heard it was the sea he fell in love with" Gibbs tells her.

"Same story different version, but all are true" Tia says annoyed.  "See, it was a woman as changing and harsh and untamable as the sea. Him never stopped loving her. But the pain it caused was to much to live with, but not enough to cause him to die" she explains.

"What exactly did he put into the chest?" Will and I ask her.

"Him heart" she says placing a hand over her own.

"Literally or figuratively?" Ragetti asks.

"He couldn't literally put his heart in a chest. Could he?" Pintel says unsure.

"So where's the key?" I ask her.

"The key he keeps with him at all times" she answers.

"You knew this" Will accuses Jack.

"I did not, I did not know where the key is and now we do. All that is left to do is for you to go aboard the flying Dutchmen,  retrieve the key and save bonnie lass"  Jack tells him.

"Let me see your hand" Tia tells Jack. Turns our Jack has the black spot and was only safe on land. So Tia gave him a jar of dirt saying he had to carry land with him.

"Looks like we have a need to find the flying Dutchmen" Will tells Tia.

"A touch of destiny" she says dropping crab claws and bones. We got the heading and thanks her before heading back to the Pearl. We set sail to the destination Tia had given us. I decide to sleep until we arrive telling Will to wake me when we found the flying Dutchmen.
