HetaFire Pt. 3

Just as they were reading, the two girls heard something moving the doorknob. Oh no, it's the spider! Amelia thought as she began to shake.

"Hello?" A whisper voice called from behind the door.

Naomi and Amelia looked between each other and then went to unlock it, opening it up to find Emma on the other side. Her expression went from shock to relief in a matter of moments when she realized Amelia and Naomi were on the other side. "I'm so glad I found you guys," Emma sighed.

"We're glad to see you too Emma," Amelia smiled, quickly ushering Emma inside and locking the door once more for fear of the spider's return.

"Where were you at Emma-chan?" Naomi asked.

"I woke-up in a room and found the door locked," Emma began to explain. "I searched for another way out and found a key in a book. I used it to get out and then walked around on my own for a while until I heard you two talking."

Amelia raised an eyebrow in confusion. There was a key in my room just like Emma. Amelia evaluated the situation. But why wasn't there one in Naomi's? Why were they just in mine and Emma's room?

The three girls soon left the room and went to look around once more. However, they could find nothing. They tried to search for the others but couldn't find them either. The search went on for hours and hours and soon the three became exhausted. "It feels like we've been searching forever," Emma stated.

"I think we shourd rest," Naomi suggested.

"I saw a room with a couch or two a little while back," Amelia remembered. "I think we should go there. I'm not too keen on going back to those rooms...Or seeing that spider again." She whispered the last part to herself mostly. Emma and Naomi agreed and the two went to the room, resting themselves on the couches. Naomi fell asleep quicker than Emma and Amelia, who were still awake.

"...Amelia?" Emma whispered. "Are you awake?"

"...Yes." Amelia answered. "What's wrong Emma?"

"Why are we here? Where's everyone else? And where are our parents?"

Amelia sighed. "I wish I knew Emma. Unfortunately, I don't have any answer to give you. All I can say is that we have to keep searching."

"Okay."

"Try and get some sleep. We'll get this all sorted out."

"All right...Good night Amelia."

"Good night Emma."

************
"Let me go!"

That's what Amelia woke up to. She shot up from her spot on the couch, which was surprisingly comfortable, and woke up Naomi and Emma in the process.

"What is going on Ameria?" Naomi questioned.

"Shhh," Amelia shushed. "Listen!"

"Put me down!" The voice from before repeated.

Allison! They all thought as they followed the voice. The three quickly got up, put their ears next to the door and listened as people walked by.

"Let go of me!" Allison's voice said.

"Is that Allison?" Emma whispered.

"It sounds rike her," Naomi whispered back.

"Papa, 'elp!"

"Be quiet!" Someone shouted at her. "Your Papa isn't coming to save you. 'e isn't even alive."

Amelia, Emma and Naomi silently gasped at the same time. France is dead? Amelia thought. That can't be!

"You're lying!" Allison cried.

"I don't lie. Now pipe down."

Allison kept calling out for France until the three capitals couldn't hear anything anymore.

"What is going on around here?" Naomi questioned aloud.

"Is what that person said true?" Emma asked, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. "Is France really dead?"

"No," Amelia quickly answered, earning looks from Naomi and Emma. "France is a country. Countries can't be killed like that."

Before Emma and Naomi could respond, Amelia walked out of the room and around a corner of the hall she suspected Allison went down. She didn't want to believe France was dead. How could it be true? It just didn't make sense!

As she turned the corner, Amelia bumped right into someone, sending her to the ground on her bum. She looked up and locked eyes with someone with blue eyes and pink swirls added in; it was a man and he looked like her Father. He was a bit different though; his eyes were baby blue with pink swirls, his hair was strawberry-blonde, and he was wearing pink, something that Amelia knew her Father would never wear.

Amelia shook as she stared at the man. He stared back before giving her a small smile that was genuine. "I'm glad you found the key I left you," he told her.

Key? That's when Amelia remembered the key in the book. "You're the one who left the key in the book?"

"That's right. I put it in there so you could get out of the room. I knew you'd be trapped in there." He then reached his hand out for her to take. "I'm Oliver."

"...Amelia."

Amelia took Oliver's hand, feeling she could trust him, and Oliver helped her up. That's when Emma and Naomi showed up. The two gasped upon seeing Oliver and Naomi reacted quickly by grabbing what looked to be a walking cane and held it like she would a sword. "Reave my friend arone!" Naomi declared.

Oliver quickly let go of Amelia's hand and put his hands up into defense. "Please, I-I mean no harm," Oliver insisted.

"How do we know that?" Emma quickly asked. "Who exactly are you? And why do you look like Britain?"

Oliver sighed. "...I'm Britain's copy."

The girls' eyes grew wide at that statement. Naomi was the first to shake off the shock and then glared at Oliver. "You are part of the group that took us, aren't you?"

"Please, let me explain, I-" Oliver started.

"Amelia, he could be dangerous! Get away from him!" Emma insisted.

Amelia looked at her friends and then at Oliver. She looked in his eyes but saw no malice or evil. In fact, what she saw was...sadness. "I don't think he's dangerous."

"What?!"

"I know it sounds crazy but, I don't think he wants to hurt us. He says he was the one who left the key in my room to escape!"

Upon hearing that, Naomi untensed her muscles and lowered the cane. "Why wourd you do that?" Naomi asked, still glaring at Oliver.

"I...I wanted to help," Oliver answered. "Alex is planning something terrible for you girls and I didn't want any part of it."

"Alex?" Emma questioned. "Who's he? And what does he have planned?"

"You see, an old Alchemist created this world long ago. I was the first of the copies to be made. After Alex, America's copy, was made though...things got bad. He became corrupt. Now all he wants is power."

"I think Naomi and I read the Alchemist's notebook then," Amelia stated. "He explained how he copied the Earth. But, what about our friends? What happened to them? Do you know if they are all right?"

Oliver stopped walking. He looked at Amelia with a serious gaze. "They're no longer themselves."

"What exactry does that mean?" Naomi inquired.

"Alex worked on an Alchemic formula that destroyed the DNA of your friends and reconstructed it so that it was different, much like the Alchemist did when he created the copies. This has changed them. They are no longer the friends you knew."

The three capitals collectively gasped. Their friends were gone? That couldn't be right! "But, there must be some way to change them back. There is a way, right?"

Oliver nodded and reached into his pocket and gave Amelia a small slip of paper. It was completely blank.

"There's nothing on-" Amelia began.

"Time will tell."

"Time will tell?"

Oliver gave her a soft smile. "You'll understand when the time comes."

Amelia nodded as she put the paper into her pocket. Naomi and Emma were still skeptical of Oliver but if Amelia trusted him then that had to mean something, right?

Meanwhile, with the nations, besides Canada who stayed behind to watch over England, they went down the corridor of the "dungeon", trying to either find the copies or the children.

Just then, two people blocked their path; the copy of China and the copy of Russia. "Well, well," China's Copy said.

"This will be interesting," Russia's Copy added.

"I don't, believe this," China gasped.

"But there's just one more thing that would make this better; oh girls?"

That's when two girls stepped out from behind the two men. They looked like Chen and Natie, but had different appearances. Russia and China were in absolute shock.

"What's wrong?" The Chen lookalike asked.

"Are you in shock?" The Natie lookalike finished.

"C-Chen?" China managed to squeak out. "What did they do to you aru?"

"Her name is Tia, not Chen," Yang stated.

"And this is Natalie," Victot clarified.

"What did you do to them?" Russia had a dark aura surrounding him. These copies did something to his little girl. Now someone was going to pay.

"We just changed their DNA a bit. They are ours now."

Something inside China snapped as he charged his copy. However, "Tia" got in his way, grabbed China by the arm, and then flipped China to the ground. "Don't try that again," Tia growled before walking over to her "Father".

"We just wanted you nations to see what a waste it is to try and escape," With that being said, the four disappeared, leaving the nations in shock and confusion.

Can Amelia, Emma, and Naomi trust Oliver? And can the other capitals be saved?
