I opened my eyes, the shock of the cold water still fresh in my mind. I had drowned hadn't I?

I looked around to find myself in a dark room with only the flimsy bed I laid on in it.

"Mom!?" I called out, hoping she was here too. The only reply I received was my own echo.

As I sat up I noticed I was only in a flimsy gown, it looked nothing like anything I'd ever seen before. To be fair nothing looked like anything I'd ever seen before.

Suddenly the door opened to reveal a man with an eye patch and dark clothing. He stepped closer and I immediately backed up as far as I could till my back hit the cold wall.

He smiled at me and said "Hello Sarah, my name is Nick Fury but you can call me Director Fury." He stuck out his hand twords me and I just stared at it blankly. Did he expect me too shake it or something?

He retracted his hand and put it in his pocket. He seemed to grumble to himself as he stared at me.

"Where am I?" I asked as my voice shook, it was like I hadn't spoken in years.

"You are in S.H.E.I.L.D. headquarters, don't worry your safe here, your father even works for us."

My eyes were wode with suprise, my father, why was he mentioning him like he was alive?

"What about my mother!?" I rushed out, if he talked about my father like this he must have been delusional.

He sighed and seemed to take a minute to think about answering my question. I didn't let him.

I stood up on my feet and ran, knocking past him and threw the door, I coukd hear many loud noises apearing as I ran, I didn't know what any of them were.

I continued to become more and more confused as I ran. There were so many things everywhere that I never remembered seeing before. Where was I really!?

I saw a door leading out into the street, I ran to it only to find it locked, no matter. I punched the lock and managed to break it off but Fury had caught up with me.

"Sarah wait!" He yelled as he went to grab me.

I punched him straight in the face, breaking his nose and giving me time to escape. I busted open the door and ran out into the busy street.

I almost immediately went into shock. There were moving pictures everywhere, people were driving futuristic cars threw the streets. No one could be spotted wearing a dress as long as my own. Ladies were mens clothes and I couldn't believe it.

I screamed at the top of my lungs in terror, attracting the attention of someone I never thought I'd meet....
