I wake panting as beads of sweat treacle down my forehead. My eye lids flutter open to see a pale blue sky with electric blue geometric pattern in the sky shaped over the field in a dome shape .Two figures circled around me, overlooking me. It takes a while for my eyes and hearing to adjust to the everything. It feels as if i haven't felt fresh breezes or seen a sky that bright ever. I begin to examine the two figures around me. They looked roughly my age, between the age of 15-19. One of the figures stretches out his hand and pulls me to my feet .The boy says something after he pulls me up and the other boy laughs but i didn't hear it. Every sound and voice feels blocked out and distant due to the ringing noise in my ear. I stand to my feet feeling dizzy and the questions begin to whisk around in my mind: where am i? who are these people? in fact who am i?. At the first opportunity i get i look at my surroundings i see we are in a muddy green field. Everywhere i can see young people in ragged colourless clothes and poorly man made shelters scattered across the field.

I swept back my untidy dark obsedian like hair that stopped at my shoulders. My eyes and ears become more focused and i cant hear a ringing sound anymore. I stare at the boy who pulled me up expressionless. He had deep light sunkissed hair and grey piercing eyes that gave the illusion that all color that was once in his eyes had been sucked out.I stare at his pale skin glittering with sweat unaware of what i was doing, i carry on staring into his grey eyes. They shoot back at me defensively but his words seem soft and sympathetic "are you okay?".

 I snap out of the daze and begin trying to speak with the words on my lips but my words fail to flow from my mouth and i begin to re-phrase my sentence "what is thi-where am i? whats going on?". The other boy with black hair and dark skin answers my questions "I'm Sean and your in the dome. No one can physically escape the dome. Our Government is called 'Unity' and they keep us here, every person that arrives here wakes up not remembering what happened or who they are. But some people that the government call 'mind errors' can remember bits and pieces of their past'" my hands shake and i almost start crying and the boy who helped me up adds if" your not a minderror then you need to pick a new name". Still in shock i scan my mind but i cant remember any names. "I don't remember any names but my new name i-" i hesitate for a moment trying to think of a name that appeals to me "you dont have to chose now you can always think about it" the grey eyed boy asks. I answer quickly "Lara" and the grey eyed boy half smiled "Lara, I'm Charlie" Charlie then faces Sean "tell them shes arrived" Sean nods and runs across the field. Charlie gestures his hand towards himself "come on" he begins to walk and without hesitation i walk by his side letting afew tears escape my eyes. He begins to explain about everything in better detail:

"This whole dome thing has been like this for ages you know; its impossible to escape the dome its like thick glass which you cannot break" we carry on walking at a slow pace and he carries on sharing information with me "The Government 'Unity' have an army of these creatures, some kind of monsters they cooked up in labs called 'Creaks' they are like large dogs" I grin and look at him and he looks back "what?" he says curiously "your comparing terrorfying monsters to cute little dogs?" i snort loudly. I expect him to laugh but he doesn't, instead he looks more saddened. "My friend, Kian was bitten by a Creak before. On his wrist, his wrist had swoll up and his veins became a sickly purple color he said he would be fine but he was overcome with a fever hours later and was sent into a fit and died".

Oh god. I quickly try to apologize but he protests with one single word "dont". We walk the rest of the way across the field side by side in silence. He took me one of the wooden unstable huts. There, was Sean sitting on the shady grass with four others. Charlie gestured his hands towards the hut as i began to enter the hut without saying anything Charlie unaccompanied me and left across the field upset about our conversation. As i stumble into the shaded shelter Sean stands up and greets me

"Lara" a large grin spreads across my face "Hi Sean" i mumble wiping away the tears and crack a small smile All four of the unacquainted people in the shelter smile at me and introduce themselves to me. The first person was a light skinned blonde girl who had an slight Italian accent called Mia. The second person was a boy with ice white hair and green emerald eyes and a shadow of stuble invading his jaw named "Christian". The third person was a boy with short black hair and yellow lemon coloured eyes named "Jared". The final teenager in the room who introduced themselves to me was a girl with ginger curly hair and brown eyes named "Cal". All five people including Sean invited me to sit down with friendly faces and i sit on the grass next to them in a circle and get to know them all.

As the sun begins die our small group walks out the shelter and Cal begins to light an already built fire. Jared sat himself next to me "bit like camping isn't it" he laughs through his nose "but more risks" as he hands me an green pale apple. I give an appreciating smile and he returns the expression as i begin to sink my teeth into the fresh apple. Charlie arrives from the distance in a much happier mood and greets everyone including me and sits opposite me in the circle. He begins staring at me with his strong colorless eyes and then gets up and sits next to me with the campfire glowing orange on one side of his face and pitch black on the other.

 "Hi" he says with a half smile. I draw my attention away from Jared noticing his dissappointment.  "Hi" i say softly he pulls a handful of dark berries out his hand and offers to share them with me but i politely decline. Defensively Jared interrupts our conversation "she doesnt want your berries Charlie, i gave her an apple". Charlies head shot up at Jared "more for me then" he smiles proudly soaking in the glory of attention i provide. Jared slips his hand onto my shoulder and says grimly "she isnt intrested" Charlie scoffs "who said she was?". I feel like i could scream my lungs out any moment stuck between the both of them with their words bouncing off eachother. Suddenly Jared dodges me and pounces on Charlie and i let out a sharpe scream as the begin rolling on the floor swiping at eachother. Suddenly everyone draws their attention to me and notice the Charlie and Jared. By now they are Chalie and Jared are standing stil fighting. Jared grabs Charlies arm and i spring to my feet to help Sean unattach themselves from eachother. I grab Charlies arm and try to unhinge Jared's fingers from it but its no use.
