At breakfast that morning Valery was terrified, all she remembered from the day before was Carter saying something about her boyfriend. She wanted to see him, she had to see him. Carter smiled kissing her cheek. "You hungry darling?"

"Please stop calling me that please." She begged as Anika passed her a plate of bacon. She wasn't going to fight them, not when they could all harm her. She took a few slices, and ate them. They all watched her strangely, as she ate. She didn't understand why they watched her like this as she ate.

"Mom," Harlee began. Anika raised her head up to look at her son. "Dad said something about hunting, do we know when we are doing that?" Jace chuckled hearing the boy asking his mother for things he could answer.

"Tonight."

"Really?" Alex asked excited. Valery looked at them confused. A knock at the door made her jump. "I got it!" Alex called running towards the front door, vaulting herself over the couch. Jace, Anika and Harlee laughed, and Carter face palmed. Valery cocked her head to the side in confusion. She answered the door, and let out a soft sad sigh.

"Who is it baby?" Anika asked.

"Max." She said.

Max laughed as he walked in, throwing her over his shoulder. "Stinker." He said hanging her upside down.

"Put me down put me down!" She begged. Everyone laughed, Valery couldn't help but smile as she watched, but she still wanted to be out of this house. She wanted to see her boyfriend.

"Whats up?" Jace asked looking at Max as he dropped their daughter.

"Well I was wondering when we wanted to check on the," he stoped looking to Valery, after hesitation began again, "supplies for the hunt."

"After breakfast." Jace replied as they ate. Max stole a slice of bacon and headed out of the house.

"I want to see my boyfriend." She suddenly stated, balling her fist. Carter looked to her with a growl. "Please."

"I am your husband, you don't have a boyfriend." He growled softly squeezing her thigh, she wiggled from him. "Fine, you want to see him? You really want to see him?" He asked grabbing her wrist, she nodded. Anika and Jace looked to one another, realizing this was going to be difficult. Valery kept eating everything on her plate waiting for him, Carter walked in. Anika let out a soft sigh, realizing she was going to have to clean her floor.

Alex grinned, and Harlee let out a small sigh. Valery went to turn when she heard a thud on the table. She sat up quickly as she looked to the table, her free hand shooting towards her mouth, she let out a scream. Her boyfriends severed head rested on her plate, blood staining the white of the table cloth. "No, no.. No!" She was crying harder, her knuckles turning white as she grabbed onto the chair. "Oh god...you.. you killed him!" She screamed. Her breathing was quickened, and her heart was practically beating out of her chest. Her vision was becoming slightly blurry. She was terrified, realizing that this family didn't only kidnap but murder.

"I did it for you, he hurt you. He abused you Valery. You are mine, and no one else can have you. Because of this I had to do something. You belong to me and I love you. I had to do this Valery."

"You all are insane!" She shrieked trying not to pass out.

"Valery. Baby please, you have to know this place is safe for you, okay. This place is safe."

"No..no..Rodney.. hes...oh god, I am trapped here. Kidnapped by you people. Please.. just let me go and I will never say anything to anyone."

"Stop it." Carter shouted at her. "You belong here, we love you. You will love this place."

"This place in insane." She cried, tears streaming down her face. "You all are insane." He grabbed the head and left, fuming. Alex was trying to hide her laughter. Harlee kicked her from under the table.

"Hows your bacon?" Alex asked. Anika shot her a look, she smirked as she looked to Valery. Carter walked back in seeing the look his mother had and the smirk on Alex's face. Valery just stared at Alex.

Carter looked to his younger sister. "What did you say?"

"I asked her how the bacon was." Alex replied as she took a bite of her own.

Carter tightened his jaw. "You bitch." Valery looked to them confused.

"Carter!" Jace snapped slamming his hand on the table.

"Sorry dad." Carter said dragging Valery up the stairs. She kept fighting him, kicking and screaming but it didn't do her any good.

Alex smirked, she enjoyed causing havoc. Anika gulped, realizing this was going to not go smoothly, she couldn't remember a time she didn't want to be a part of this family. It felt like a distant memory she was unsafe and far from this world. Valery would learn to accept it. She hoped.

Valery cried, hitting him and punching him until she stopped hitting, and just cried. He held her close to him, every once in a while she would try and escape, but he would just drag her back towards him. "I love you Valery."

She sniffled tears streaming down her face, she looked towards him baring her teeth. "I hate you."

Max rang the dinner bell, calling for all the kids. Soon they all piled in, Carter had left Valery in their room, she was handcuffed to the bed.

Jace smiled as all the kids lined up, two to a team. All ten were waiting at the forests edge, they were all equipped with a knife and the older ones had guns while the younger ones had tasers. Alex was teamed up with the youngest, Zayn. Harlee was with the Graham. Carter was with Jack. Iris with Shawn and Avery with Nico.

Jace clapped his hands gaining the kids attention. "Alright are you ready for the game?"

"Come on dad spill it!" Alex teased as she pointed the gun at Harlee for a few seconds with a smile on her face he kept inching away form her. she was terrifying to him, but he still loved her. Max laughed seeing the way the twins were acting. Reminding him of him and his sister as they were growing.

"Well we have a new way of killing people, makes it more fun. First we let them go, they can't escape, they are wearing collars that will zap them if they go to far. Your job is to stop them, kill them, and drag them back home. Thought you guys could enjoy it more this way."

Carter grinned, this was something he had always wanted to do. He had read a book on this a long time ago. It was something his father read to him once. He spun the knife in his hand. Ready.

"How many people are you letting out?" Harlee asked cocking his head, his shoulder length hair brushing his cheek.

Jace grinned. "We have three, so its a race, as well as a contest." Lia and Anika looked to one another knowing it was going to get the kids going. The younger ones were playing with the tasers.

"Those may have been a bad idea." Anika whispered to Lia. The two nodded their heads in agreement. Nina and Blake were worried about their son. Knowing he was so young and the three people they were letting out of the cages were adult males, that could easily hurt him. Thankfully Alex was a caring and well equipped killer.

"Contest?" Alex asked giddy. "What to we get dad?"

"The teams who bring bodies back get out of chores for two weeks, those who loose have to pick up the others chores." Everyone got excited ready to attack and fight one another for it. "One trick, Max and I will be hunting as well so if we bring back a person than that makes it one less prize." A few groans chorused around the group of children. "Alright go out into the forest. You don't get to see who to kill. They will just be released into the forest and when the sun comes down those who are still searching you need to come back home."

They all started to clap, getting ready to go. They waved to one another and headed out to the woods, laughing and playing together. They all attempted to be separated to ensure they couldn't and wouldn't be able to run into one another. Carter smirked as he waiting, hoping to listen for footsteps coming near him. They also knew their uncle and father were going to be out, prowling.

Carter crouched, while Jack watched for anything that moved.

Harlee and Graham kept walking silent and ready to pounce if they needed to. Harlee heard a noise and turned to see his sister and Zayn. "Stay down." Harlee whispered to Graham. Graham nodded hiding behind Harlee. Alex suddenly jumped in front of her brother.

"Hello brother." She said smirking. "Graham, Zayn." Both boys smiled and soon Harlee was convulsing on the ground having been tasered, he let out a yelp and screamed in pain.

"What the..the hell was tha..that for?" He asked as the kids swung the taser wands about. They were more cattle prodders but rendered to be more affective. He groaned turning around slightly, terrified of them.

"I just wanted to let you know whos in charge dear brother." She smiled, letting him wiggle in pain for a moment. Now get up and lets go."

"What?" He asked cocking his head in confusion, still in pain.

"You are going to help me and the kid here get out of our chores. If we happen to see another person we can help you out. As long as we avoid our dads."

"Fine, never taser me again or I will cut your hair in your sleep with bloody scissors." Alex only laughed at the idea."

Max and Jace smiled at one another as they started to undo the chains of the people. "Why are you letting us go." One man asked as he slowly stood, trying to crawl away from them.

"Don't need you any longer." Jace said lying. The others looked towards one another trying to understand. They only watched them leave the barn. They hesitated but all ran in opposite directions, Max and Jace smiled swinging their knives and heading to follow the people closets to the exit.

The hunt had begun.
