"So you lost?"

Jimin stared down at his plate, too scared to look up. His father was speaking which meant all in the room had stopped, including his breathing.

"Because you were too busy day dreaming on the field? Is that correct Park Jihyun?"

The youngest's gulp could be heard clearly throughout the room. The sound of his mother placing her fork down and interlocking her fingers was also heard. Jimin raise his gaze to the boy across from him.

"I asked you a question Park Jihyun. Do you plan on leave me waiting?"

"N-No sir." Jihyun's voice trembled. He was scared, terrified of the wrath waiting to unravel. "I was not day dreaming-"

"Liar!" Their father's fist slammed down on the table. The utensils jumped and the liquid in the glasses swirled. "You think I'm stupid Jihyun? You think your mother is a liar like you?"

"I filmed the end of the game Jihyun." Their mother spoke up. "I thought I was recording the winning goal but instead I captured a moment of embarrassment!"

She slammed her palm down on the table.

"Jimin go to the living room. We'll call you in when it's time for your punishment."

Jimin looked at him mother dumbfounded. "What?" he whispered.

"You think I forgot you talked back to me and did not want to come to the game? Now go."

"Yes Eomma. Excuse me Appa." Jimin rose from his seat. He looked at his brother briefly before quietly leaving the room. He was forced to shut the door close despite it always being left open. He sat down on the large sofa, his eyes scanned the room until they landed on a small box.

The camera.

Jimin looked around to make sure he was safe to peek. He reached for the box and pulled out the camera. He scrolled past the pictures of Jihyun with his team, those were after the game. He stopped at the first video that showed up.

"Say hi Jiminie! Appa will see this!" His mother's voice was cheerful as the camera pointed at him. In the video Jimin looked at the camera, his phone in his hand. " I wasn't paying attention..." he came to realization, no wonder he couldn't remember his brother day dreaming. He had been texting Taehyung.

He reversed the the video back to where he'd left off before he drifted off. "Go Hyunnie! Hit that ball!" Jihyun wasn't even facing the direction of the ball. His gaze was elsewhere, on someone.

"The little raven haired boy." Jimin muttered. The small boy wasn't in the frame but Jimin recalled the boy being in that direction at that time. He shut the camera off and put in back in the box. He sat up straight and blanked his expression when he heard the door open.

"Jimin come in."

Jimin rose from his spot. He passed his puffy eyed brother and sat on the chair his father pointed to. He stared down to the wooden table hoping that his racing heart couldn't be heard pounding against his rib cage.

"Why did you talk back to your mother?"

"I did not mean to. I had just woken up-"

"Why were you up so late? If you hadn't waken when your mother called you then maybe your head would have have been in the right place!" His father's voice raised slowly as he progressed speaking. "I don't know what the hell's been going on with you Park Jimin."

"Probably those new friend of his." His mother spoke up. She had her arms crossed and a straight face while she stared down at her son. "I forgive the back talking but you're still going to be punished."

His father placed his hands on the table and leaned forward. "Forget about those suppose friends of yours. You are no longer allowed to go to the library as you claim you do after school. Hand over your phone as well and get that disgusting color off your head. I don't want to have to explain to everyone why my kid's walking around looking like a damn vegetable."

Jimin tried not to look to surprised. He wasn't sure what to feel but he didn't feel guilt as he'd usually would. "Is that all?"

"Do you want more? You want to join in on your brother's punishment too?"

"No Appa."

"Go the hell to bed then. I don't want to hear from you until tomorrow."

Jimin nodded. He excused himself from the kitchen, he ran up to the bedroom. The door closed behind him, right after locking it he ran to his drawer. There he pulled out his phone and deleted all the messages he had with everyone. He deleted apps and his browser history. He knew if his parents were going to be in possession of his phone they'd snoop around.

A knock came at the door. "Hyung..."

"One second!" he shouted at the soft voice. He sent one last text before deleting it. He ran to the door and opened it. "Hey what's up?"

Jihyun pointed to his phone. "They want your phone." Jimin handed it over but pulled his brother back when he realized what he was wearing. He was in his sports clothes, a pair of shorts, his sneakers and a wind breaker.

"Where are you going?" He questioned. His brother pulled away from his grasp and walked down the hallway. "Jihyun!" He called him back. He didn't answer. Jihyun raised the hood of his sweater and ran to the stairs. He shook his head and closed the door shut.

"Why in the world is dressed like?" Jimin sighed. He shook his head as he walked to his desk. There he sat down and worked on homework he supposedly had gotten done on Friday afternoon when in reality he'd been chatting with Hoseok and Taehyung in the group chat.

An hour went by until he finally slammed the book shut. His brother's attire had come to mind again and wouldn't let him concentrate. Jihyun only dressed like that when he was at soccer practice.

"Jihyun!" Jimin sprung out of his chair and ran to the room down the hall. He banged on the door softly and waited for a response. Nothing. "Hyunnie?" he muttered as he pushed the door open.

He wasn't in bed.

"Eomma!" He ran downstairs as quickly as he could without tripping. He knocked on his parent's door, it was close to their bed time. He opened the door slowly and poked his head in. His father held a book to his face while his mother held a phone in her hand, his phone.

"Yes Jimin?" She put it down on her chest, his father didn't even acknowledge his presence. "What do you need? You should be in bed, we have church tomorrow."

"Jihyun's gone!" He pointed behind him.

"That was his punishment. Now go away Jimin." His father spoke up. Jimin looked to his mother in disbelieve.

"He's out for a run Jimin."

"But it's too late for a run!"

"Lower your voice." She said sternly. By now Jimin would shrink under her defying glare but he didn't, if anything he stood up straighter. He walked into the room leaving his mother shocked for a second.

"You sent Jihyun out for a run? At this time in this weather?"

"If you don't leave right now then so will you." His father spoke up again, he didn't look at him still. "Go to bed we've got church in the morning."

Jimin shook his head and scoffed quietly. He slammed the door shut and ran back to his room. He snatched a sweater from his closet, his keys from his desk, and quietly climbed down the stairs. Each step he took he was careful to not apply too much weight on the hardwood floor. If his parents heard so much of a creak of the wood he was done for. Thankfully he made it out of the backdoor quietly.

He ran the oppsite direction of the house in hopes to run into his brother but he didn't. He waited around for a few minutes, no one but some street cats passed by. He gave up and headed back to the house. Once he stood in front of it, his stomach dropped.

He didn't want to go back in there.

Jimin decided he wasn't going back in. He began walking to a place he knew he'd be safe.

A place where he didn't have to act so uptight.

A place where his hair color was appreciated.

A place where he had friends.

A place where he was accepted.
