Jimin gazed straight ahead.

His brother was munching on his meat, his jaw barely even moving. He gulped down his juice and looked away from him.

"So Jimin how was school? I'm sure you and Mr.Kim got straight to the hard stuff right?" His mother smiled at him. Jimin grinned back and nodded.

"Eh...yeah...it was great."

"Are you sure Jimin?"

Jimin turned his head at the sound of his father's voice. He nodded but his dad clearly hadn't bought it. It could have been from the sweat rolling off his forehead or maybe he noticed him fiddling with his fork but clear he didn't believe him.

"What did you learn then?"

"Nothing." Jimin blurted out. He grinned even wider, "We learned nothing because I know it all, we just reviewed material."

"Oh that's my smart little boy!" His mother blew him a kiss from across the table. He pretended to catch it and place it on his cheek.

"So Jiminie since you've been working hard I thought you could take a beak on Friday afternoon. You know someway for you to meet new people and socialize."

"Socialize? Him? Ha!"Jihyun gave the table a slap as he proceeded to laugh. Jimin looked at him but it wasn't his glare what stopped him from laughing. It was his father's.

The boy straightened up, cleared his throat, and looked down to his full plate of food.

"Anyway it's a church activity for boys your age. There's this one boy I really want you to meet Jiminie, he's so sweet!" His mother squealed and grabs his hand. "He's your age, he moved here recently so you might have not seen him on Sundays. His mother says he doesn't like to go to church because he doesn't know anyone but he's definitely going to the event. I think you'll like him a lot baby."

Jimin couldn't help but cringe. All the information she'd spit out to him had gone out of his ear once the last word escaped her mouth.

Baby

Yoongi called him that and it sounded a lot nicer coming from his mouth. Sure his mother had called him that all his life but now that someone made it sound better, her saying it was just weird. He tried to push the unsettling thought out of his head for the time being.

"Well it's after school, what do you say honey? I feel that you've been distant lately, it'll be help to your social life. I know you've met new friends but more won't hurt right?" The woman smiled sweetly at her son, so much he couldn't turn down the suggestion.

"Yes Eomma, that sounds great." He tried to put out a big smile but failed. She settled for his small grin though.

"Then it's settled, Friday night you'll be spending it at church."

Jimbles: I really am sorry Hyung.

Sugar: It's alright baby, maybe you can try to get out it? Maybe...somehow?

Jimin stared down at the text and left it as it was. He didn't respond. Instead he continued on to ready for his night in social hell.

"Hey Hyung."Jihyun came skipping into the room with a soccer ball in his hand. Jimin greeted him with a mumble, it'd been a while since his brother had come to pay him a visit in his room. After the "Do you like boys?" incident, he'd kept his distance.

"Eomma asked me to come check on you, are you almost ready?"

Jimin rolled his eyes. He looked like he'd been hit by a truck and then run over by it a few times. He shook his head and went over to his dresser where he picked out a random shirt and pair of pants.

He didn't have to look nice for these people so he wasn't going to.

"Eomma is going to make you change~" Jihyun said as he picked at his brother's clothes. Jimin of course did not pay much mind to him and left to change. He expected his brother to be gone once he had returned but no there he was playing with his ball.

"I have a game tomorrow, you should come." He said as he heard Jimin walk back inside.

"Maybe." Jimin responded as he combed over his orange hair. He was hoping his mother wouldn't make him cover it up since they were going to the church.

"Let's go! We can't be late! JIMIN!"

Jimin quickly unplugged his charging phone and pushed his brother out of his room. He walked him down the hallway to his own room but before he could leave, Jihyun grabbed onto his shirt.

"Hyung..." Jihyun tugged at the hem, "I'm sorry about the other night, I really didn't mean to upset you. If you do like boys it's-"

Jimin covered his brothers mouth and pulled him into his chest. He turned to the stairs where his mother's head became visible. He smiled and swayed his body along with Jihyun's.

"Aw look at my little boys hugging it out." She cooed. "Don't worry Hyunnie, Hyung will only be gone a few hours and then he's all yours. Now finish up Jimin, we have to go." She waved her younger son goodbye and turned to go back down the staircase.

Jimin pushed the boy away and bent down slightly to stare him in the eye. "Don't ever say that again in this house, understood?"

"But-"

"But nothing. You're going to get us both in trouble so just shut it."

Jimin left it at that. He turned around and followed his mother's tracks to the front door. He stared into the living room through the mirror. He could see his father nose buried in a book, he'd been like that since the other night. It happened whenever he went into deep thought about something but he never really said what so they no one ever questioned him.

He closed the door shut and climbed into the ignited vehicle. He strapped himself into the car and prepared himself to listen to his mother ramble on about things he had no particular interest in.

"I really hope you like this boy Jimbles. I've only met him once but he seemed so sweet, it'd do you good to have friends like that. You know you haven't told me about these new friends you made recently, where did you meet them?"

Jimin hummed, he had to very careful with his words. "School, one transferred from the neighboring town so he introduced me to some of his friends. They're all very...." Jimin searched for the right word to describe the group of men,"unique."

"Really?" She smiled brightly, the red of the traffic light illuminated off her face. "Any girls Jimbles? Maybe a little crush?" she giggled.

Jimin rubbed the back of his neck, he could see the tip of the church come into few but it wasn't quite close enough for him to dodge the question.

"Um...no but I did meet someone that caught my eye."

IDIOT  Jimin screamed at himself once he realized what he said. He bit down on his lip as he saw his mother tilt his head and look out confused for a few seconds before the bright smile returned.

"So there is a girl! Oh my baby's in love!"

Jimin huffed in relieve. Not only had she not realized his mistake, they had parked the car. He kissed her cheek and mumbled a goodbye but she followed him out.

"I'm taking you inside, all the parents have to. It's our job to make sure my baby makes it in safe." She said proudly. Jimin tried his hardest not roll his eyes in front of her but did once he stood besides her.

They walked into the room full of chatter. Jimin greeted some of the people he knew, mainly all adults. He followed his mother across the room to where there was another door. They entered the room of teenagers and walked where she supposedly spotted the "sweet boy". Jimin tried not to think much of this mysterious boy, he had picked to stand near the snack table so he couldn't be all that bad. He just hoped it wasn't like the other church kids, know it alls.

"Oh there you are! Hello!" His mother exclaimed in her high pitch voice. Jimin turned in her direction to where a petite boy stood with a smile on his face.

"Hello Mrs.Park." he smiled sweetly before turning to Jimin, his smile expanding even more. Jimin smiled as well and took the hand held out to him. He no longer thought the night would be as terrible as he envisioned it earlier.

"Hello Jimin."

"Hi Baekhyun."
