The old building stood in a lot with more old buildings that were shattered and broken. They were all abandon...almost.

   Swordslice opened her yellow eyes and yawned. She blinked her eyes at the bright morning sun, adjusting them to the light. She stretched, stood up and looked around. Almost all the cats in her gang were awake. The beautiful, sleek, light gray she~cat saw Boneclaw, a huge black tom with long claws that were never sheathed. The black tom was giving out tasks to all the cats that were lined up. Swordslice gave her chest a lick then licked her paw and wiped it over one of her ears. She walked out of her den, that was a hole under some stairs that lead to the buildings second floor and up to the line then stood behind a small white she~cat. The white she~cat looked behind her sensing the presence of the light gray she~cat.

   "So Deathringer, is it just me or does Boneclaw seem happier than usual?" Swordslice asked.

   "Didn't you hear?" Deathringer replied.

   "Hear what?" Swordslice asked again.

   "Bonetail is retiring. Boneclaw will become the new leader." Deathringer told her.

   Bonetail is the leader of the Bone Gang and Boneclaw is his deputy. Bonetail has been the leader for about 8 years now, almost his whole life. Everyone thought he was one of the greatest leaders ever, even other gangs.

   "Really?" The light gray she~cat said.

   "Yeah." Deathringer seemed indifferent about the whole thing.

   A huge black she~cat walked away from the line and Deathringer was next. She turned around and faced the huge black tom.

   "Ok Fighter Leader we have a few cop dogs that saw us steal money from the bank yesterday and need to be taken care of. They will most likely be at the nearest police station in the city." Boneclaw told her.

   Deathringer nodded and bowed slighty. "Ok Boneclaw." She said and walked away to a group of cats and started giving orders.

   Swordslice was usually outgoing, loud, sassy, strong~willed and spunky. She was shy now however and looked down. She took a few steps forward until she was in front of Boneclaw, the soon to be leader.

   Boneclaw smiled, which was very rare. "Hello Swordslice." He said.

   Swordslice shuffled her paws on the ground nervously. Then she looked up at Boneclaw. "Hello." She greeted back.

   "So we are running low on ammunition for the squirt guns so can you do that. And could you maybe make a few more so we could have extras?" Boneclaw said. It was very rare that Boneclaw would ask someone to do something, he would mostly order them to do it.

   "Of course." Swordslice replied, still nervous.

   "Alright." Boneclaw said giving a small smile.

   With his work done, Boneclaw walked past Swordslice his tail brushing against her as he padded away, claws still unsheathed. Swordslice looked back at him and sighed.

   She went to her den and picked up a small basket filled with empty squirt guns in her teeth. When a squirt gun was empty a cat would drop it off in this basket for refilling. Swordslice was the weaponizer, which basically means that she makes, buys or steals weapons, manages weapons and manages ammunition.

   Swordslice carried the basket all around the abandoned town. She opened her mouth to find a scent of what she was looking for, water. She picked up a slite scent and followed it. Swordslice finally found water. She set the basket down and padded over to the small puddle. It was brown and muddy. Even better. She thought. Swordslice grabbed a squirt gun and set to work filling them all up. Then she had to make a few more.

   Once she was done filling them Swordslice picked up the basket with filled squirt guns inside. After only a few steps Swordslice saw something out of her prefrial vision and stopped. If something other besides a cat was here it must be dangerous. I can handle it though... She thought. She looked towards where she saw the movement and put the basket down. A big slinking black shape sneaked past. Suddenly there was a voice.

   "Why did you ask me to meet you here?" The deep male voice asked.

   Who ever it is he couldn't have meant me. I have never asked anyone to meet me anywhere. Swordslice thought.

   "You know why! Don't act like you don't. I know when your trying to fool me!" Another voice, still male said. It sounded familiar in some way to Swordslice.

   She heard pawsteps and got startled so she grabbed the basket and hid in an alley, her light gray fur helping her blend in more sort of to the shadows. I must stay hidden. If they found me who knows what could happen? Besides they could say some useful information. Swordslice reasoned.

   "Bonetail told me that "he's not positive", but that someone else might become the new leader!" The angry voice yelled.

   What? Bonetail is picking a different cat to be deputy? Why? Swordslice was surprised and almost gasped when she heard the news, but held her tounge. Boneclaw would make a great leader in my opinion.

   "Really? Why should I know this?" The deeper voice asked again obviously not intimidated by the yelling voice.

   The other voice growled. "You already know this! Again, don't act like you don't! So who do you think Bonetail will make the new leader?"

   "I don't know." The deeper voice replied.

   "Yes...you...do." The other voice said through gritted teeth. "Who else would Bonetail pick besides me?"

   "I seriously don't know." The deeper voice insisted.

   "It's you! Why is Bonetail picking you!" The other voice yelled even louder than before.

   "How should I know? I can't read minds. Besides how do you even know he's picking me anyway?" The deeper voice asked.

   "I can tell..." The other voice said through gritted teeth again. He was clearly annoyed at not being able to get any information he wanted. Footsteps started coming towards Swordslice's direction and she hid in the shadows even more. A large black tom stomped past the alley that held Swordslice and was muttering to himself under his breath.

   Of course! I should know that voice, that scent and that cat anywhere...it's Boneclaw!
