Chapter Two - Welcome Home

I stared outside the car window with my head resting on my hand. 'I can't believe this!' I thought. 'I have to re do my entire life! Everything was perfect before I died! I had my best friend Chelsea, I started hanging out with my crush, Zach Bryson more, I had my grades on a perfect A and B roll, I got into the school play, I finally started fitting in, but now I'm back to square one!'

"Let me guess," Wendy said. "You're upset with this new arrangement."

"Tch, what do you think?" I scoffed.

"I think you're going to snap at me at any moment." She replied. I let out a sigh. "I can't blame you for this. I can't really blame anyone for this. If anything, it's probably my fault."

Wendy looked at her clipboard. "You had your seatbelt on." "How do you even know that?" I question.

"Mmmmaagicc." Wendy twinkled her fingers.I rolled my eyes and went back my position looking outside of the window.

About a half an hour passed before we finally arrived in the Ghost World. It was not what I expected to say the least. It looked just like the Human World, (As ghosts call it.) except there Ghosts instead of humans.

Some of the ghosts had wispy bottom halves but others still had transparent legs. 'This is all too weird.' I thought. Wendy noticed my surprised expression and said "Strange, isn't it?" "Yeah." I replied.

About 10 minutes later, we arrived at my new home, it was an average looking house. On the first floor there was the kitchen which was connected to the dining area and living room.
Upstairs was my room, Wendy's room which sat across from mine, then the lounge room and a guest room.

"Huh, not bad." I said. "It's the best I could afford." Wendy said. "I wanted to give you a nice home but not so nice it was intimidating." "How does fancy turn into intimidating?" I asked.

After a quick tour, Wendy told me to go ahead and just hang out here while she worked in her room. So I went upstairs and started watching TV.

"Hey, this thing has Saul vs the Evil Forces! And Nora's Universe! Maybe this place isn't so bad." I said to myself.
"I hope I get a phone soon, or else I'm gonna go crazy."

Suddenly I heard a voice call me downstairs. I walked into the kitchen where the voice was coming from. The voice belonged to Wendy. As I sat down at the island, she slid a grilled cheese sandwich from across the counter towards me.

"Thanks." I said as a took a bite. "So, what do you think of the house?" Wendy asked. I swallowed my bite and said "It's nice." "That's good, I'm glad you like it." Wendy smiled.

I looked at her and took another bite. She seemed nervous, but also slightly relieved about something. Perhaps she was nervous about taking care of me, or if I wouldn't like anything about her or this house. I didn't want her to worry, in all honesty, she was starting to grow on me.

"Candy," She said. "Yes?" I replied. She paused for a moment. "Uh, nevermind. It's not important." Wendy nervously smiled at me and walked out of the kitchen.

'Hmmm...' I thought. 'What is she hiding?'

'I'm gonna have to investigate! ...starting tomorrow 'cause I'm tired!'
