・❄A Merry MyStreet Christmas❄・

As the white snow falls on this snowy Christmas Eve night,

Not a single person was shook with fright.

All was happy in the small neighborhood they call home.

The holiday cheer and excitement began to roam.

As the bright lights and festive decor kept their hearts warm despite the frigid cold,

This Christmas was one that had many things yet to unfold.

.  .  .

"Alrighty Aaron! I got all of the decorations up for tomorrow morning!" Aphmau's voice rang as she captured Aaron's attention.

"Aww, they look great, Babe." Aaron relied, observing their nicely decorated home.

Illuminated garlands hung on the walls as a festive trimming. The Christmas tree in their home glowed with small off-white lights along with other ornaments and candy canes.

A shiny golden star topped off the white Christmas tree, adding a nice accent to all of the light greys and whites on the tree like the candy canes do.

"Let's just hope that everyone will bring their presents for the Secret Santa we organized. Knowing our luck, someone's probably out right now getting their gift for whomever they got." Aaron laughed, sitting beside Aphmau on their crimson red sectional sofa.

"Yeah, there probably is someone who is. Who do you think it is?" She asked, her amber eyes glancing at her partner.

"My bet is on Zane."

"Mine's on Dante." Aphmau laughed and took a sip of her chocolate-substituted hot cocoa.

"Well, it is getting pretty late. The dogs are probably waiting for us upstairs. Or maybe they've already fallen asleep." Aaron rose from the couch and helped Aphmau up as well.

The two headed off to bed and drifted off into slumber as the snow fell on MyStreet that night.

. . .

Aphmau was baking gingerbread cookies since she was up early that Christmas morning. She was filled with holiday cheer as she enthusiastically piped on icing and small gumdrops onto each gingerbread men.

Aaron yawned and stretched as he walked down the stairs. Scratching the back of his werewolf ears, he saw his lover placing the cookies onto their dining table.

"They look great, honey." Aaron placed a kiss onto her forehead.

She was going to answer him, but the doorbell ringing had interrupted her. As she excused herself, she made her way to go and open the door.

Once she did, the dark wooden door revealed her taller black-haired friend, Zane.

In his hands was a present wrapped with a festive dulled pink wrapping paper. He stood in a dull navy blue sweater matched with a dove grey scarf with small black snowflakes on it.

"Can you let me in already? It's freezing out here!" He whined.

"Alright, alright. You can come in." She said, moving aside to let him in. He thanked her in a somewhat rude manner, but Aphmau just laughed it off.

Zane placed his present underneath their Christmas tree carefully, making sure to place it in the perfect position.

"Really Zane? I'm guessing that's for who is someone really important?" Aphmau laughed, tapping his shoulder.

"Gah!" He blurted out, completely embarrassed

"D-Don't judge me! And it is for someone important, and I knew if I arrived later, they would all know who it was for! So stop giving me that look!"

Aphmau smirked at Zane's flustered manner. His face was a light pink as his eyebrows were furrowed. She turned back to Aaron, who was preparing some hot chocolates in the kitchen.

"Well, it looks like someone was busy." Aphmau chuckled. "Would you like one too, Zane? I was about to get one myself, so..."

"Yes, I would, thank you very much." He said, taking a seat on the sectional.

Once the two got their drinks, they began to have a chat between them.

"So, who do you think got a present for you this year for Secret Santa? Maybe it's Kawaii~Chan~? Y'know, your gir-"

"Aphmau, stop it. I have a feeling you set this up for the sole purpose of seeing your "ships" sail or whatever." He swiftly interrupted her.

"Well, I mean, Aphmau would most definitely do something like that." Aaron said as he sat down with them with his own hot cocoa.

"Hey! Aaron, shut up! You were there when I set up the envelopes and all that to deliver to everyone on the street!" Aphmau rebuked, slamming her empty mug onto the coffee table.

The two males laughed at her reaction. They went on to talk about other things as they waited for everyone else to arrive.

.  .  .

Festive holiday music filled the air later on that morning as everyone on the street had gathered inside the couple's home. It was rare that they could get so many people in one place, but they managed either way.

Zane and Garroth were talking by the mistletoe, but were not under it, mind you. Garroth was trying to be the supportive brother that he was as he tried to make Zane more confident.

"C'mon, Zane! You just have to call her over when you're under the mistletoe! And then I get to see you two be all cute and stuff!" Garroth giggled afterwards, getting all giddy over the thought of the two.

"Garroth, you know that I'm not that confident, right? I can't just do that and expect her not to notice it, or for anyone else to!" Zane rolled his eyes and took a sip of his drink.

"Zane, I believe that you can do this! Plus, I promise Mom to send her something cute of the two of you. Hahah!"

"What!? See, now she's probably gonna fangirl and blow up my phone! Augh!"

Garroth only laughed in response, hardly even noticing that Kawaii~Chan was standing under the mistletoe.

And a mischievous Dante coming right towards her.

Zane grew sour at the sight as he noticed this immediately. He charged towards Kawaii~Chan and stood right next to her.

He death-glared at the bluenette as he wrapped an arm around her defensively. Dante should already be aware that they were together, so why would he still try to get a kiss from her?

"Back. Off." He growled at him. "I saw what you were trying to do."

"Relax bro! I was just trying to see if maybe I can maybe get a kiss, y'now? Tis' the season and all that?"

"You can do that when you have your own girlfriend. In the meantime, I'd appreciate that you stay away from what's mine." Zane rebuked, speaking in an assertive tone.

"You're no fun! I would have loved to kiss a cutie like her~."

"Go. A w a y."

Some attention was drawn to the three of them since Dante was somewhat notorious of starting mischief. And so, he finally backed off while saying something else under his breath.

"You're cute when you get all defensive." Nana laughed at her boyfriend.

"I-I, Uuh..." He stammered. "I just didn't want him to steal my kiss is all."

"Oh right! Aren't we under the mistletoe?"

Zane looked right above him to see the small green plant decorated with ribbons and berries hanging right above him.

He became all flustered and embarrassed all over again, realizing the predicament he caught himself in.

She chuckled as she placed a kiss onto his cheek. Garroth was giggling like a madman as he recorded the encounter and sent it to Zianna.

"What are you fangirling about?" Laurence tapped Garroth's shoulder, slightly startling him.

"I got something super cute of Kawaii~Chan and my baby bro! They're so cute!"

"But what about me~?"

"Oh, hush you! You're already cute enough for me."

Just then, Aaron had begun to call everyone over to start the Secret Santa exchange. The two exchanged a short kiss before making their way over.

.  .  .

"Soo... who did you get?" Aphmau asked Katelyn, who was the first one to receive their gift.

"Mine was... Garroth. Better have got me something good, ya dork." She said in reply.

"Hey!"

Katelyn unwrapped the light blue present gifted to her. Inside contained a voice recorder, hair products, and a lot of tissue paper.

"Aww! Thanks Garroth. But what's this recorder for?"

"It's to record your voice! Travis told me that you sing from time to time, and I thought it would be nice to record it!"

"Hmm..." She hummed as she observed the object. They then moved on to Dante since he sat beside her.

"Oooo! Sweet! I got some swag!" He said as he opened up his respectively colored gift. "Thanks Travis!"

"Yeah, yeah. But I feel bad for whoever got you as a Secret Santa. You legit went out last night to get your gift!"

"Travis, don't rat me out like that! I thought we were bros!"

"See? Told you Aaron." Aphmau whispered to him. He let out a lighthearted chuckle subsequently.

They went on with opening the gifts that were underneath the tree.

Garroth was the unfortunate one who got Dante as his Secret Santa. The gift wasn't as nicely wrapped, which Laurence was a smidge salty about. But of course, it's Dante.

What did you expect?

Nana had received a heart pendant necklace along with many other things. Zane wanted Christmas to be special for her, and so he splurged for her even if it meant being teased for it.

The rest of the holiday was spent with their friends and even family. Cracking jokes and retelling old memories was always a fun activity to pass the time.

And of course, the Ro'Meave brothers had some childhood memories to share about each other. Like that one time Zane was caged in a basket because he was going to snitch on Garroth.

Aaron could relate to some of theirs since he had Melissa as a sister growing up. He found it nice to have someone who can relate.

But as the snow fell outside and coated the street with snow, the joy of having loved ones surrounding them kept their hearts warm. Being able to gather around the tree was something that Aphmau looked forward to.

And that was the end to a very merry Christmas.
