[CHAPTER 2]

I had gotten up early the next day before to sort out my outfit because cosplayers outfits take more time to make and organise than the average persons normal outfit. I had spent time & money designing my outfit and deciding who I wanted to cosplay and I had decided on Clary Fray from ShadowHunters because of my orange hair. After waking up I had a quick shower to wake myself up before heading back into the hotel bedroom we were both sharing.

Before opening both of our suitcases and taking out each outfit laying them down on either bed, Lily often left things to the last minute forgetting about her cosplay outfit because she wasn't into cosplaying but came to comic con because I wanted to go. Because of her long hair I decided to get her a cosplay outfit of Alison from the first season of Pretty Little Liars because it was her favourite tv show she was obsessed with it.

My outfit was going to take longer than hers so she was still asleep so I quietly sat down on the chair and began to draw the ruins on my arms and neck just like Clary I wanted to look perfect. I did the first few but decided to leave the rest for Lily when she woke up because I wasn't the greatest artist that was Lily she was currently a first year student at one of the most prestigious art schools in the country. "Hey" I said looking at Lily as she woke up as I was about to place in the contacts in my eyes.

"Honestly your such a nerd" Lily said as she laughed to herself "are you going to get up we haven't got long till we need to leave so we can beat the que" i said slightly glaring at her "ok ok I'll get up" Lily said groaning as she rolled out of bed before heading to the bathroom and having a shower herself. "Why you up so early anyway" Lily said as she turned the shower on "yeah I have a lot to do to get this cosplay right," I said as I was beginning to put concealer on my face while looking in the mirror "true, all I have to do is be pretty" Lily said sarcastically "you really are Alison" I said which made her chuckle.

"thanks" I said sounding offended at what she has just said before she came walking out of the bathroom and placing a kiss on my cheek "Babe you know you're beautiful," Lily said before realising what she had done and wiping concealer off her lips "lovely concealer" Lily said sarcastically as she grabbed her clothes from the bed and headed back into the bathroom and having her shower, before we finished getting ready it took me the longest due to the time it took Lily to perfectly draw the ruins across my body.

"Wow these ruins do look great" Lily as she was drawing ruins onto my neck with liquid eyeliner. "and I think we're done" Lily said as she finisher the last rune and began to step back admiring her masterpiece before she sprayed a spray across my skin to stop the ruins melting away due to sweat or smudging. After she finished I stood up from the chair and walked over to the mirror and began to look at myself as I smiled before Lily walked over standing behind me and placing her head onto my shoulder before looking into the mirror at the both of us. I knew that my dad would have loved my outfit his favourite types of tv shows were horror and magic.

Especially ShadowHunters we finished the tv show when he was in the hospital it made him smile. "We look great, your dad is so proud of his little nerd" Lily said which made the tears began to fall from my eyes and down my cheeks before we both chuckled "don't ruin your makeup we haven't got time to do it again" Lily said before passing me a tissue "sorry" I said as I began to wipe away the tears and cleaned up the smudged makeup. "Right let's go" Lily said before I grabbed my jacket and we headed out, comic con was a short journey from the place we were staying so we arrived early however there was still a large queue to get in.

We could see the queue from a distance "wow so many nerds" Lily said chuckling to herself as i playful punched her in the arm as we walked we got stares from people walking past as many of the cosplayers got however we just kept walking. As we finally got to the queue I stood there in ore because I had wanted to be there for a very long time and now I was finally here and I couldn't wait to get inside. Luckily we had bought VIP tickets which meant that we could go to the shorter queue "I can see why you wanted to come now" Lily said staring at the top less cosplayers walking past which caused me to roll my eyes at her.

"What?" Lily asked before a smug look appeared on her face before we began to head inside, once we arrived inside we had to go through metal detectors and have our bags checked "what do they think were bringing in" Lily said as I glared at her before she turned to the security guard and began to flirt with him "honestly" I said before walking off from her "wait up I was only teasing" Lily said as she ran after me finally reaching me as I arrived in one of the halls. "Wow" I said in ore looking inside "you gonna stand there or are we going in?" Lily said with a smile before she looped her arm through mine and we walked in.

We walked around the stalls looking at the merchandise and getting photos with other cosplayers before we waited for the times to get our photographs and autographs from actors that are here. As we were walking I felt someone bash into us causing us to move "hey look where your going" I said snapping at them before they turned to look at us 2 men, one blonde and the other black haired who were also cosplayed as the ShadowHunters characters Alec Lightwood and Jace Herondale. "Well hello Clary Fray" The blonde said as he smiled at me.

"Hey, I'm Lily" Lily said introducing herself to the blonde flirting with him "Hey" The blonde said "Hey I'm Jonathon but my friends call me Jace that's why" Jace said pointing to his outfit "we're just about to head to the ShadowHunters photos if you wanna join" Jace said with a flirtatious smile "yeah Hope let's go" Lily said walking off with Jace so I walked with his friend "Hey I'm Alex" Alex said introducing himself as we walked "Hope" I said with a smile trying to seem friendly. We stayed with them for the rest of the day Lily spent most of her time flirting with Jace however I kept catching him looking over at me.
