When I lay with you
I could stay there
Close my eyes
Feel you here forever
You and me together
Nothing is better.

"Oh goodness, I'm so sorry!" I cried out to the boy in front of me. I was rushing to my piano room when I suddenly bumped into some boy walking around in the halls. "Curse my clumsiness," I mumbled. My hand reached up to touch the hurting spot on my forehead.
"Ah no! It was my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going. Don't mind me. Are you hurt? Can I take you to the nurse?" The boy asked me, while he stood back up from his place on the floor.
"No!" I shake my hands out in front of me. "You are the one who fell, Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Are you sure I can't take you to the nurse though? Your head looks a bit red on where you got hit." The boy gripped onto his umbrella and slung it over his shoulder along with his bag.
"Yes, I'm sure. I fall all the time so this is nothing." I laughed out, waving his comment away with the simple flick of my hand. "My name is (L/n) (Y/n). It's nice to meet you."
"Minamoto Kou. You can just call me Kou. It's nice to meet you too (L/n)."
I look at the clock and my mouth opens in shock. "I'm sorry but I have to leave. See you later!" I yelled to Kou as I hurriedly ran to my piano room.
I had heard the prettiest tune play in my head and I didn't want it to disappear. I just had to play it and write it down so that I wouldn't forget. I rushed past some fellow classmates. Some even carrying equipment from the astronomy club.
I threw the door open. To my surprise, Tsukasa was sitting at the bench of my piano. He had looked like Amane at first and it caught me off guard. I ignored his presence for only a little bit to play that tune. As I was about to press the first key, my hand stopped.
What was it again?
My arms flew up and I gripped the sides of my head in frustration. Tsukasa continued to sit and observe my musical meltdown. His eyebrows raised slightly in confusion, but he was enjoying the sight.
With just one thought of Amane, It made me forget about everything! That boy is dangerous.
"Did you need something Tsukasa?" I whimpered out. I looked up at Tsukasa from my position on the floor.
"I mean, I was going to tell you something. But it looks like you're doing something more important?" he questioned while he chuckled softly.
"No no, I was just a little frustrated. What did you want to tell me?" I asked, sitting next to him on the piano stool.
"Well, you were so tired yesterday that you fell asleep on Amane!" Tsukasa laughed out. My eyes widened in disbelief.
"Wha-No! I went home yesterday. I woke up in bed this morning!" I yelled at him. My face was flushed.
"How do you think you got there? Amane carried you. Look, I even took pictures." Tsukasa said smugly. He got out his phone from his pocket and swiped through the photos of me leaning on Amane asleep under the stars. I have to admit, It was a cute photo. But I was too flustered to care at the moment. The second set of pictures was of me on Amane's back. A piggy ride. My arms were draped over his shoulders and my head was pressed into his shoulder. To be honest, he looked pretty content. "We had quite an interesting conversation yesterday too. I'll tell you but, you know, for a price.
I shake my head in disagreement. "No. It's none of my business on what you two talked about." Tsukasa was trying to perform his signature 'deal' move on me.
Tsukasa pouted "I should've known. You're too smart." The door opened and our conversation ceased.
"Tsukasa? What are doing here?" Amane asked He walked over to his brother and I "The club needs to prepare for another star study next week." Amane leaned on my piano.
Oh my gosh. That looked hot.
"A-Amane?" I stuttered out. My hands gripped tightly onto my uniform skirt and I look shyly onto the floor.
"Yeah?" his attention diverted from his brother to me. Tsukasa stepped behind me for whatever reason that was.
"I'm sorry for falling asleep on you yesterday." I shyly admitted.
Amane grinned at the mention. All he had been doing was telling the girl about some of the stars when she fell asleep on him. He questioned himself if he was just that boring. He didn't mind it one bit though. In fact, he was happy. "It's no problem. You seemed tired and I didn't want to wake you up so I just carried you home." He said.
Amane took notice of his twin's weird gestures behind my back. He first pointed to the me, then formed a heart, then pointed to his mouth, Amane, and finally me.
Tsukasa was trying desperately to get his stupid brother to confess to me.
"Can.." I began to speak, but I paused. My hand grabbed his and I held it tightly. His eyes widened at my sudden action. "Can I make it up to you?" I asked him nervously. Amane wanted to stumble back and hold the cloth over his heart in flustered-ness, but the piano prevented him from doing that.
Tsukasa gripped his head in frustration at his brother. This was literally the perfect time for confession, yet he still wouldn't take it.
"Hmmm, I did carry you all that way. So I guess." Amane teased.
I smiled at the boy in front of me. "Yashiro, Aoi, and I will be going to the hot springs after the school festival and then will be watching some fireworks. You are welcome to come and invite any of your friends." I said. I let go of Amane's hand and turned around to Tsukasa. "You can come too if you want! The more the merrier right?" I smiled at the two of them.
Amane and Tsukasa exchanged glances. They knew at that exact moment what they both were thinking.
'We're definitely gonna peek.'
"Sure we'll go!" Tsukasa said. "It's been a while since we've been to the hot springs. Right Amane?" Tsukasa's arm hooked over Amane's neck.
"Well yeah. The last time we went was when we were little." Amane smiled and he hid his mouth behind his hand as he whispered to his brother. "And now we have different opportunities."
Tsukasa nodded at his brother's statement. "Anyway's (L/n), better get going to devise our pla- I mean help out our fellow peers." He pushed his brother out of my piano room while waving goodbye. They both left with mischievous grins. I looked at the clock on the wall and sighed.
With the soft tune now lost in my head I had no other reason to stay in school. "I guess I better get home."
When I entered the candy shop, it smelled of lemon drops.
"Ah (Y/n) you're back! Ready to learn that new recipe we talked about?" My father yelled from the kitchen. My face turned into a frown.
"I told you Dad. I'm not going to make candy." I sighed out, placing my bag onto the old couch.
"Of course you are, don't be silly." My dad laughed out.
My mother at the counter looked at me with dissatisfaction. "How was school today dear?" She asked.
"It was fine I guess. With every day the school festival draws near so that's good." I sit down on the couch and take one of the small candies from my bag plopping it into my mouth.
My mother hummed in response.
"Do I need to keep reminding you? (Y/n) come in here." My father peeked his head out from the kitchen.
"I'm going upstairs," I told my mother. I didn't feel like arguing with my dad about the shop again today.
I sat down on my piano stool in my room and laid on my piano. My fingers press down on the keys randomly. Almost as if I was petting a dog. I couldn't help but smile at the notes it would make.
I didn't know it, but I fell asleep.
I woke up to the sound of drilling. I looked up from the piano to see my father taking out the last screw that held up my door. What was he doing? I locked that, didn't I? Stood up from my stool in shock.
"Since you don't seem the listen to me, I decided to take away some of your privileges." He spoke. My mother was at his side. Worry and panic spread throughout her features. My father grabbed an object that was out of my view up until now.
A sledgehammer.
"Wait, Dad. Wh-" and with that, he took the first swing at my piano.
"Wait a minute de-" My mother began, but another swing interrupted her.
I screamed in horror. But I was speechless. How? Why? Just because I won't take over the shop he takes away the thing thats almost more precious to me than my own life? The keys of my piano hits against my side. Some of the wooden scraps poked me, some even breaking skin. I clawed at my father's arms and back.
"Dad! Stop! Please!" I begged and bawled. He pushed me to my mother. She held onto me tightly and all I could do was watch as my world broke into pieces.
When my father finally approved that the piano was indeed unfixable, he turned to me and smiled. "There!" He said happily. "No more distractions." For a man who owned a sweet shop, he was far from sweet.
My stomach churned and I gagged. I quickly ran out of my mother's grasp and out into the streets. My parents called after me, but I was crying too hard to hear them. My fingers shakily taped on one of the only people I could rely on as I ran. It was hard to see through my tears. Every so often, I would trip over my own two feet and fall on the asphalt.
"Hello?" The person from the other line said.
"Yashiro!" I cried out.
"Woah, (L/n)? Are you okay? What happened? Are you crying?"
"No! I don't know what to do." I said in between sobs.
"Come over." She said before she hung up.
I nodded in understanding even though she had already hung up. I threw my phone on the road, cracking the screen. I don't need my parents trying to track me. I quickly arrived at Yashiro's home. Luckily, My parents didn't know where she lived.
Yashiro was waiting at the front porch. Her eyes scanned around until she spotted me. Her heart broke at the sight. I was bleeding with small wooden sticks sticking out from some places. My and hands were all bloody because of some upset falls that happened on my run over to her house.
(L/n)!" She yelled, rushing over to me. I continued to cry my heart out."Gosh, what happened to you!?" She nealed down to my level but didn't touch anything. Yashiro guided me inside and sat me down on her bedroom floor. She walked out of the room to make a phone call.
I sniffed, finally letting up with my crying. Only a few minutes had passed since I got there. I heard voices from the downstairs. They got closer and Yashiro opened the door to reveal Kou.
"Sorry (L/n). I don't have any medical knowledge so I thought calling someone else would be better." She admitted. I looked between the two of them. How did they know each other? My head nodded slowly and Kou went to work. There were only four stick wounds in my arms, the rest were just scrapes and bruises. Yashiro went downstairs and grabbed all of her medical supplies as well as a dishcloth and some water. Kou pulled the first stick out swiftly and used the phone flashlight to see if I had any more wood in there. "Now," Yashiro said before giving me the cup of water and taking a seat on the floor in front of me. "Care to explain?"
