My feet led me into my old piano room. Yet again, Tsukasa was there. He was shuffling the same deck of Uno cards we had played with just the other day. Tsukasa Didn't even notice the door opening. He was so deep in thought that the room was void for him.

"Tsukasa?" I called out his name. He turned around startled for only a second before his eye softened.

"(Y/n). I heard what happened yesterday. Do you think Mr. (L/n) will come back?" Tsukasa placed the deck on the floor. I now had his full attention. Amane told him about what happened yesterday? Why?

"I'm not sure. I hope he doesn't. I don't want anything to deal with that man." I sat next to the wild-haired boy and crossed my arms. "What are you doing here?" His eyes widened for a minute before I could spot the tears threatening to fall. I gasped and leaned forward. "H-Hey! What happened? Why are you crying?! Stop that!"

It was truly a rare sight to see. Normally, Amane would be the one to come to me crying. I don't think I've seen Tsukasa like this since we were kids. He sniffed and whipped away his tears quickly. "I confessed." My eyes stayed fixed on his actions. Should I tell Amane about this? "But she rejected me." He continued to wipe at his eyes and he finally stood up. "But, I'm not going to stop trying!" He balled his hands up into a fist and held it to the sky. It was a little too dramatic for my liking. At least he's not giving up, right?

"I'm envious of you." My mouth blurted out. I put my hands to my mouth in surprise. Tsukasa's fist fell down and he looked at me with furrowed eyes. This was his sign to continue. "A-Ah... Well, you're very confident in what you're doing. And when things don't go your way, you just try again. Not a lot of people do that. Including myself. Once I fail at something I feel scared to try again." I admit shyly.

"Did you tell him?" Tsukasa asked.

"Tell who what?"

"Did you tell Amane about how you felt?" He sat back on the floor and continued to shuffle the cards. I'm guessing that it was his way of relieving stress.

I looked to the floor. "I think he already knows..." Tsukasa stared up at me and nodded his head.

"He talked to me about it yesterday. He wanted to know what to do and I said to talk to you about it." Tsukasa laughed and scratched the back of his head. "You both need to get the courage to talk to each other. They do say that communication is key right?"

For once in a while, Tsukasa had a point.

We ended the conversation not too long after. He walked behind me in the hallway in silence.

"(Y/n) (L/n)" I stepped back into the boy behind me, drawing his attention. The man that was in front of me was the last person I wanted to see. "I've been looking for you. Even went to the shop."

I scoffed and watched Tsukasa take out his phone. The first contact he tapped on was Amane. "What do you want? I don't have anything to deal with you. You're not welcome here."

'(Y/n)'s dad is here rn what do I do?' The text was sent to Amane quickly.

'Where are you? Are you with her?' he sent back a second later.

"You have everything to deal with me. You're my daughter." He folded his arms and looked between Tsukasa and I.

Tsukasa gave my ex-father his famous intimidating scare. 'Hallway C. Yes she's with me. Are you coming?' He sent another text.

"Correction, was. I W A S your daughter."

'look out the window.' Amane sent back.

Akane and Amane panted. Their uniforms we're on from soccer and Akane had his hands on his knees. They had run from soccer practice. They were right next to the pool.

'Jump.' Amane sent.

My ex father began to raise his hand to hit me but Tsukasa tugged me away quickly. He swiftly picked me up in his arms and opened the window. Tsukasa turned around and gave my ex-father an evil smile with a salute.

"I will tell you one thing Mr. (L/n)." I raised my middle finger. "I will never be your daughter again."

Then he Jumped.

We were on the third floor and within the span of four seconds we had hit water. I had let go of Tsukasa and began to swim up. Once I broke the surface, a pair of hands grabbed onto me. Amane took me out of the water and held me close. I was freezing and it was summer.

"Are you okay? What happened?"

"You had us jump out the window to save me from my ex dad."

"That's not an answer! (Y/n)!" Amane yelled. He gripped onto my shoulders tightly as I laughed.

"And it was a whole three stories! How cool is that?"

"What the hell is going on?" Akane stole me from Amane's grasp and shook me.

"Wh-Hey! Careful!" He yelled.

And just like Tsukasa before, my eyes failed me. I began to cry and I dropped down on the floor.

"Amane...What am I gonna do?" I cried out. He knelt down on the floor with me and Tsukasa was making his way towards us from the pool.

"Tell me." He started to hoist me up into a piggy back ride. We began running.

"He's fighting for custody." I buried my head into his shoulder and nuzzled to get comfy.

"Are you scared?" Tsukasa asked. He patted my back as we ran towards the shop. They just skipped practice for me.

"Of course she's scared." Amane countered.

"(Y/n)..." Tsukasa started. "It's gonna be fine. Do you wanna know why?"

"Why?" Akane asked for me. I looked up to Tsukasa from Amane's shoulder.

"The school has cameras."
