Chapter 9

(this chapter is set during the same time as the last one so during this chapter, Tobias is having his freak out)

Tris' POV

"Uriah! I dare you to..." I start but he cuts me off.

"I didn't pick Dare!" He rudely interrupts with his childish whining.

"Would you have picked truth?" I retort and cross my arms over my chest. Earlier I got dared to give Peter a lap dance so I did the only logical thing; I refused and took my shirt off instead. The look on his face was hilarious; a mixture of excitement, embarrassment and anger. I hate Uriah for daring me to do that so this is my revenge. "Die your hair green, go find Max, ask if it suits you and if he says 'no' then say it's going mouldy and you can't help it."

"But the pink only just washed out from last time!" I simply shrug as he pulls out the puppy dog eyes.

"Or." I smirk as his face grows hopeful. "You could give Peter a lap dance."

I expect him to complain more or take of his shirt but instead, Uriah stands up and walks in to the kitchen and returns with a stool. "Sit." He says bluntly, gesturing between the chair and Peter.

Peter's eyes pop out of his skull as he shakes his head, franticly telling him 'no'. "Sit!" Uriah shouts
again, this time stomping his foot as if he is having a temper tantrum. "I said get your fat ass on that chair, now!" He stomps over to Peter and picks him up off the floor from under his armpits. "You weren't like this when I dared Tris to do it so why are you being such a baby now?!"

"Can I forfeit for him?" Peter pleads as Uriah drags him across the circle, to the stool.

"Nope." I pop the 'P' and start to laugh along with everyone else. Even Marlene is laughing and she has to watch her boyfriend dance on Peter.

It takes a few minutes of struggling until Peter is finally sat on the chair... Zeke had to cable tie his ankles to the legs in order to make him stay and his wrists are tied together behind him also.

"Ready?" Uriah grins as he turns on some music.

"Ready to be scared for life? No." Peter grumbles, shooting death glares at me.

"And five, six, seven, eight!" Uriah counts himself in before the hilarity that is Uriah giving Peter a lap dance commences.

It's fine at first, Uriah just walks around Peter whilst stroking his forehead. But then the awkwardness starts... Uriah places his foot on Peter's knee and starts to sing along to the song, adding in over the stop gestures.

Everyone is in a crazy fit of laughter as we watch the show, but something catches my eye... Tobias is sat in the corner with his eyes shut tight and his knuckles grow white from holding his fists too tight. Suddenly his eyes flash open and he runs through to the kitchen, mumbling stuff under his breath.

The song ends and Uriah's butt is shoved into Peter's face. Everyone bursts into a round of applause as Uriah takes a mock bow, accidentally knocking Peter - and the stool he is tied to - over.

Will and Marlene go over to untie Peter as I hear a crashing in the kitchen. I tug on Zeke's arm and gesture for him to follow me through to the kitchen, where Tobias went and hid a few minutes earlier.

"Four?" Zeke questions as we make our way into the kitchen. "What are you doing? Why'd you leave the game?"

"Four?" Shauna calls as she joins us.

"Four?" Christina joins in, whilst all I can do is watch.

Tobias' hand glistens with blood as he smears it on his jeans, in his other hand there is a knife. What is he doing? His eyes dance wildly around he room as he scans everyone's faces.

"Four?" Will enters and joins in with the questioning.

"Four?" Zeke repeats, taking a step closer.

"Tobias?" I call, hoping that his real name will break him from the daze.

"Tris?" He croaks, and I take this as my cue to come forward "Tris?" I take his large hands in my own and see that there is a large gash across his left palm. Carefully, I pry the knife away from him and place it on the counter behind me.

"Tobias, It's me... I'm here... I'm-"

"No!" He screams as tears cascade down his face. I reach up to dry them with my thumbs but he swats them away and begins to stagger backwards, crashing into everything as he retreats.

"You're not real!" He sobs and I want so desperately to prove that I am. "Why? Why did you leave me?" The sobs become hysterical as he crashes into the counter. "What happened to 'forever and always'? You're gone and I can't deal with it anymore, Tris!"

"I'm here Tobias! I never left you!"

"I need to wake up." He slures and holds a knife out towards me. A knot forms at the pit of my stomach as the silver blade, catches the light. "So that means, you need to leave." Tobias lunges forwards and the blade slices through my skin like butter.

I can't help it...

I scream in agony as the blood pours out from across my chest; any higher and he would have slit my throat.

"Get Tris to the infirmary, now!" Zeke bellows and lunges at Tobias as he crumples to the floor.

"Tobias! No, you need to help him! That wasn't him. Something's wrong... Ahh!" I try to kneel down by his side but the movement sets me chest on fire.

"Tris?!" Christina squeals as my face contorts in pain.

"It hurts." I wince.

"Peter, do something!" She screams again.

"What?!" Peter sound just as shocked as I am.

"Anything!" Christina continues to flap around in panic.

What happens next is so unexpected that I forget to breath... The strong arms that once held me over the Chasm, scoop me up with the most delicate touch I've ever felt and carry me out of Zeke's apartment.

When the pain from my chest and the rhythmic sway as Peter runs through the corridors mix, I drift in and out of consciousness for brief intervals, over and over again.

A/N

Hello! Another short chapter ): Please don't kill me with your butterknives!

I have a request for you wonderfull people... I have started to write my own book (not a fanfic) and was wondering if you would give me your opinions on it (I have only posted the first chapter as a trial) eg. is the writing style okay? is the first chapter interesting enough to make you want to read more? ect... Any advice given would be awesme but please no mindless criticism if it won't tell me what needs improving. It's called "Friendzoned In A Dorm" if you could please check it out or find it on my profile (it currently doesn't have a cover since I am in the process of making one). Please? It would mean the world to me since I want to become an author when I'm older... I'm only fourteen so still have a long way to go but everyone has to start somewhere. So, yeah, please read the first chapter and ANY advice/opinions would be spectacular.

As always, I don't own Divergent. (But if you read 'Friendzoned In A Dorm' then that is all my idea.)
