Chapter One

Making sure your cap hadn't slipped off your h/l h/c hair, you finished paying and hurried out the side door. Slipping on your (f/c) sunglasses you made a mad dash for the car. Opening the door you jumped in taking a deep breath. So far, so good. You sighed in relief.

"Did anyone recognize you?" You turned to see your manager furiously typing on his laptop. To be honest you were surprised that the keys were still in good shape; he had usually broken a few by now due to his slamming on the keyboard. Ignoring the random thoughts that flew back and forth in your brain you took off your sunglasses.

"Nope. Mission accomplished!" You announced pulling out your favorite chocolate, vanilla swirl pudding. "Would you like one?"

Narrowing his eyes your manager raised an eyebrow. "Y/N, you need to be more careful. If you wanted pudding that badly you could have had one of your assistants get it for you."

"Yes, but- it's not like I can't do it myself. I'm not a goddess." You reasoned. Well it wasn't the best reasoning but hey, it was true. "Any way..." You trailed off noticing the look of disapproval that Charlie was giving you.

"Read this script. It's nice and you should consider auditioning for it." He said tossing a script your way. Sighing you balanced the pudding in one hand and flipped open the script with the other. Years of experience taught you to be very careful when it came to pudding and scripts, they didn't match very well.

Setting the pudding down you perused the script. It was the same old plot. Damsel in distress needs rescuing, but at the last minute she saves herself and others from ruin. "Typical." You handed the script back to your manager, "can't they come up with anything a little more original. Why can't I do a film that actually means something like- I don't know something that actually happened or-" the story was on the tip of your tongue. "Lord of the Rings, that was a good trilogy. Any chance that there'll be making anything like that soon?"

The manager shoved the script back in your face. Narrowing your e/c eyes you pushed it back in his face. "Read the ending."

Taking a deep breath you apologized, "sorry that was rude of me." You flipped to the last page and your eyes widened in surprise. "Really?" You asked apprehensively. "That's brave of them."

"I said you would like it." He smirked, "I'll tell them that you're up for the shoot."

"Yes, please do that." You said as you continued to read the script. "This writer has guts, I just hope this works. It's not often that they have the courage to kill the protagonist." This would be fun, you'd never died in a film before.

"The audition was just a formality. I have already submitted an audition tape, the role is yours. You shouldn't judge to quickly." He said as he continued to beat his poor laptop to a pulp.

Normally you would have been very upset to learn that he had accepted a role without actually asking you, but at this point you were just too excited to care. Tucking your hair behind your ear you continued reading the script.

"Where is this being filmed?" You asked while reading the script.

"Canada. They're finishing with the pre-production. Filming starts next month." He said taking your empty pudding cup from you.

"Where? Sorry I missed that first part." Did he say Canada? "Oh Canada, right... I've never been there." Come to think of it there really wasn't a reason for you not having been there. Maybe it was your busy schedule... Yep, there was not much of an excuse.

"There's a first time for everything-" Charlie looked up, "you're home." Stepping out of the limo you slipped the script into your bag. "Make sure you read the entire script." He reminded you.

"Don't worry, mom. I won't forget!" Saluting him you shut the door. He could be just like a crazy mother hen, he probably just cared about you.

"Canada, huh?" You said to yourself. "Well this is going to be an adventure!"

------------Time skip brought to you by the awesome Gilbird------and England's scones---------------------

Two years later.

"Over here, (y/n) over here." Smiling you waved as you headed out into the airport. "Y/n the film was brilliant. What are you wearing?"

"Um, clothes..." You weren't quite sure what you were wearing. All you knew is that it smelled good, had no stains, and looked clean. Yep that usually means it's safe. "Oh it's a f/c dress." You shouted back smiling.

Slipping on your trusty sunglasses you smiled as you walked through the glass doors. Check in, go through security, and the private jet would be waiting. Wait- isn't there like a law about paparazzi and airports.

"Those were just fans, and bloggers. It's not rocket science, y/n" Your manager looked over at you seeming to read your mind as he steered you through the crowds. "Just breathe deep, and you should be fine." He rubbed your back in assurance. He really was a nice guy, you'd only become official a few months after the premiere of the film that won you your first oscar nomination, that's where you were headed at the moment.

Looking into his deep blue eyes you smiled as he kissed you softly. "It'll be alright. Just hold my hand, besides more people are killed by cows than by planes."

Playfully hitting him in the shoulder you narrowed your e/c eyes. "That's not funny." You had an extreme phobia of heights, well flying. It wasn't the flying that did it, it was the fear of falling that had you terrified. "Can't we take a bus or something?" You asked in hopes that he would change his mind.

Ruffling your hair he gently squeezed your hand. "Don't worry. Besides we're already at the gate." Looking up you realized that he was right. "I got us in the fast lane for TSA. Here take your shoes, you just spaced out again."

Slipping your feet into your sandals you didn't bother to tighten the straps. You'd take them off as soon as you were on the plane anyway.

After boarding the plane you settled into your seat, secured your seat belt and wrapped your arm in Charlie's arm. You closed your eyes as the plane took off, and gained elevation. You hadn't noticed that you were holding your breath until you felt fingers interlock with yours.

"It'll be alight." He said giving your hand a gentle squeeze he smiled at you. "I love you, y/n."

"I love you too." You smiled nestling your head on his arm. For once in your life you were really happy. This was going to be your last awards season. After this you planned on announcing your retirement. It was time for a change, family, and regular life.

Feeling Charlie wrap his arm around you, you closed your eyes you settled in for the short plane ride from Boston to Los Angeles. "Before you go to sleep I have to ask you a question." Looking up you were surprised to see him unbuckle and get out of his seat.

"Charlie- what are you doing?" You tried hard to breathe deeply, but it was hard when your heart threatened to jump out of your chest.

"y/f/n. I've known you for a long time." He said kneeling down. "You are the most stubborn, independent, frustrating pain in the neck I have ever known. Don't argue, you know its true." He laughed silencing your rebuttal. Slipping his hand into his jacket pocket he pulled out a small blue box.

You couldn't hold it back anymore. Letting out a small gasp you looked into his deep brown eyes. "I love you. I want to spend my whole life with you. All of you. From your awful cooking, your love of sugary substances, and your crazy fandoms. But most of all I want- no I ask to have the privilege of being your husband. Y/n, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

Staring at his nervous face you found you didn't know quite what to say. The plane jerked in the air causing you to snap back into reality. "Yes. Yes- of course. I love you, and I will marry you!" You exclaimed. You hadn't thought you would cry. You knew he would ask yes, but you never thought you would cry.

Feeling a cool object being slipped onto your finger you looked into his eyes. "I love you." Beaming he sat next to you. "You are my world." He said kissing you gently on the lips, causing the butterflies to flare up once again.

"Please return to your seats. We are passing through severe turbulence. Please stay seated."

Looking up in alarm you looked over to see your fiancé hold your hand tightly. "It'll be alright. This is normal. We'll be landing soon. I love you." Squeezing his hand tightly you looked at him for reassurance.

"Do you promise?" You asked, flinching as the plane jerked downward. Your heart racing you looked into his blue eyes. Seeing the steady, calmness behind them you smiled as he grasped your hand tighter. "As you wish." He said kissing your hand.

That was the last you ever saw of him. Three days later the private jet that you had chartered would be found in the middle of the rockies in Colorado. There would be no survivors, your body would never be found. Your new life had begun.
