#5: Auriela the Omniscient

Surprised by  the new voice  in the conversation,  both change their sight and see a female angel standing behind Gabriel. Her presence is very imposing, magnificent, but silent, as she also makes a serious face. A narration bubble below her writes:

"Auriela, Archangel of Omniscience".

_Auriela: Michael, for everyone's sake, I will ask you to return to the meeting hall, so we may continue talking.

_Michael: ...There is nothing to talk about Auriela, I refuse to aid in such nonsense.

_Auriela: God's will is absolute, if he claims that asking Canabel for help is necessary, then it this, no questions needed.

_Gabriel: ...

Michael isn't calming down, and darkness begins to fill him in. He now heads towards Auriela, menacingly. They now stare at one another.

_Michael: Do you understand what it feels like to lose two million soldiers? Do you understand what it feels to train and bond with them, only to see them DIE?

_Auriela: And do you understand that sadly he is the ONLY OPTION we have right now?

Dramatic pause, but only Michael is surprised. Shortly after, Auriela begins to slowly walk around Michael, almost like she's subtlety dancing. Slowly, Michael calms down.

_Auriela: Three thousand years ago, when all angels living on planet Earth were killed by Canabel, God decided to impose a new rule. He imposed that, from that point onward, no other angel besides Gabriel would be allowed to enter the Human World.

_Michael: ...

_Gabriel: ...

_Auriela: He created that rule to prevent another catastrophe from happening, and so far, that has worked. However, even though Gabriel is the only angel allowed to descend into Earth, he is forbidden from interacting with humans, in both direct and indirect ways.

_Michael: (stares at Gabriel) ...

_Gabriel: Well, to be more precise, I am only allowed to observe, and that's it, I can't even send messages to humans like I used to so long ago.

_Auriela: Exactly. And because of this, there is only one singular being on planet Earth with which we are allowed to communicate with...

CANABEL.

The inner darkness in Michael finally seems to fade away, but he still looks very serious.

_Michael: ...And why can't God undo that rule?

_Auriela: ...? What do you mean?

_Michael: If the situation is so desperate that we need to ask a genocidal for help, why doesn't God just undo that rule, and allows US, the archangels, to descend so that we can take care of this menace by ourselves?

_Gabriel: ...

_Auriela: Because God can't undo what God has already done. The barrier he created to prevent angels from entering Earth, that thing has infinite power, just like himself. He can't undo something as powerful as himself, because infinite always equals infinite.

_Gabriel: WHAT? That sounds stupid!

_Auriela: Listen, unlike any of us, God has infinite wisdom, ok? That means he understands past, present, AND future through a plane of existence that far exceeds our capabilities. If God decided that no one but Gabriel can enter the Human World, then it means he contemplated all of reality, all possible outcomes, and verified that indeed it was the best possible solution.

_Michael: ...

_AURIELA: AND THAT ALSO INCLUDES LEAVING CANABEL ALIVE, BY THE WAY.
