"Zack" "yeah I'm here" she moved closer to me and I put my arm around her and held her closer.   Cleo was awake and just laid on me for a few minutes and hugged me which I didn't mind. "Zack I wish this would all just disappear" "I know I wish it could to" I hugged her gently and then kissed her forehead before getting up. 

I got up and saw that John was still asleep, so I decide to take Cleo inside Wal-Mart and see if we could find any more supplies to use. I saw Cleo walk into the clothing and pick up a few jackets and shirts. I walked into the shoe aisle and saw some nice red Vans and they were in my size to. Good find Zack your so smart, well for 5 seconds.

I put them on and held on to my old shoes and then went to go and see if Cleo was still in the clothing aisle. I was almost to the clothing aisle when I saw one of those adult things. Shit! I walked a little faster and hoped the adult thing wouldn't see me fast walk by. "Cleo!Cleo!" I whispered kinda loudly and kinda panicked, but remained clam. 

I found Cleo wearing a beautiful shirt and jeans "Cleo! Come here!" I whispered in a loud, but quite voice at the same time weird huh I never knew I could do that. Zack focus on getting out and not injured.

Cleo looked at me with an expression of confusion and walked over to me and sat down beside me. "What's wrong" she said quietly "There's an adult thing close to us in the next aisle I think" I pointed and out of nowhere it was right my hand.

I quickly moved my hand back and grabbed Cleo's hand and started running out of the store and to the car where John was still asleep. The adult the was still behind us. Shit those things are fast we gotta get out of here and fast. I looked over and saw some more adult things and ran even faster with Cleo right behind me.

"JOHN! WAKE THE FUCK UP! START THE CAR!" I shouted at the top of my lunges and then I realized oh I have the keys I'm so stupid. John woke up and started screaming and running to the car for his life which was kinda funny, but I had to get Cleo to safety ad myself. 

I got into the car and started it and saw Cleo get in the passenger seat and lock the doors with the button that had a lock on it. Smart thinking. I put the gear into drive and we luckily got away from the small mob of adult things. We drove to another safe spot as far as we knew. Now we were on  little hill looking over the town.

I grabbed a gun and sat on the top of the car while stupid dumbass John was asleep in the car snoring like a fucking hippo. I heard a car door shut and felt Cleo climb up next to me and held my arm and leaned against me. "Hey Zack how did your dad die or turn into an adult thing?". I felt sad for what happened to my dad and how I was helpless to save him.

I took awhile in answering, but I finally did. "Me and my dad were at a baseball game and it was the 9th inning and the lights went out and then there was a little light where I was and saw my dad had blood on him and looked like lose limbs, *sigh* he started to growl at me and grabbed my arm and tried to bite me, but I got away and ran to the bathrooms and saw another one of the things my dad turned into tearing apart a little boy and, so I ran to my dad's car and saw shadows coming my way so I started the car and drove back to town". I sat there and without even realizing it I was crying and breathing heavy. 

"I'm sorry" "Don't be it wasn't your fault" "Here" she leaned in closer and gently grabbed the back of my head and put her lips on mine and kissed me passionately. I answered back and held her closer.  I let go and parted lips from hers and breathed a little. "How did your Parents die?" "I don't know I was with my brother James and he turned" "What happened?" "Well we were at Taco Bell and my brother turned away from me and when he turned back he had blood all over his shirt and teeth he tried to grab me, but I ran out of the restaurant and just kept running until I couldn't breath and needed a breather. I walked in the streets for awhile until I saw your car and thought I would see if it could work and that's when I almost got attacked and you saved me thank you for that by the way" "No problem". 

"I'm sorry for what happened to your brother" "it's okay there was nothing I could do". I put my arm around her leaned on my hand to keep me up. Okay so I know maybe you shouldn't fall in love when the world has gone shit crazy and when you have a random werdio in your car, but what could I do I loved her and she loved me well I wouldn't take it that far. 

I looked up at the night sky and wished I was back at the baseball game with my dad and that nothing ever happened to him. I wished I could have saved him from whatever was happening he was a great dad. I looked down at Cleo and she was asleep on my arm and then I laid down next to her and fell asleep.

*crack* I jolted up and grabbed my gun and loaded it. Oops I forgot Cleo was sleeping on me, but at least she didn't fall off the car. "sorry" I whispered and helped her stabilize herself on the car, so she wouldn't fall. "It's okay" I looked over the car and saw John with a candy bar in his hand and his foot underneath a broken branch.

Oh my fucking gosh John are you serious oh my gosh. I helped Cleo down and then jumped off the car to see John just staring at us with those ugly eyes well in my opinion they were ugly. His eyes were a grey blueish color and he had dark circles underneath his eyes. "Sleep well" I asked sarcastically and Cleo nudged my side. 

"Eh okay I guess how about you two?" "We slept fine" I asked and put the gun down on the front of the car. "So what are we going to do today?" John asked. Well your not going to do anything because if you do you will get your ass kicked and fucking die. "Me and Cleo will go around and make sure it'll be safe to sleep here again tonight, you can gather fire wood and cook some of the meat we have." "Okay" he said awkwardly.

I grabbed Cleo's hand gentle and walked into the woods with her holding my hand kinda tight. We walked for what felt like 2 miles, we were at least out of John's sight if he even had any. "What are we actually doing?" Cleo asked "We are doing what I said we're doing" I said in a nice tone, I'm not that mean. "Oh" she said kinda disappointed I looked over at her and gave her a confused/concerned look and walked closer to her "What's wrong" "Nothing".

"There is something wrong what is it?" She hesitated and then moved closer and took my hand "I just thought you know we could do something else" she smiled and put her face near mine and kissed my lips passionately. I'm not gonna lie it gave me a happy feeling, but also scared the shit outta me cause like I've never had this happen to me before. 

Before I knew it I was kissing her back and took off my shirt and held her closer she let go of me and took off her shirt and jeans and pulled me into her and crushed our lips together which as a result I bit my bottom lip and it was kinda bleeding. We continued to kiss and I heard a low groan in her throat.

I continued to kiss her and soon we made our way down to the ground and I groaned from pain, but also her kissing me. We stopped to take a breather and then continued *snap* I looked up and grabbed the gun that was beside us and stood up and saw that it was John.

"You guys dating or are you guys already boyfriend girlfriend?" He asked.

Really John I groaned in annoyance "aren't you supposed to be getting fire wood" I said with a glare. "Well I was wondering what you guys were doing" "okay well now that you know can you leave us alone" said Cleo. I was actually surprised that she finally had said something to John considering she was kinda scared of him which I dont blame her he's kinda scary. 

"Alright keep you bra on" "John! Seriously go!" "What I'm just playing" he chuckled a little and I just laid down and sighed. "You gonna go now" I said rather inpatient. "Fine I'll go". He walked  back to camp and look over at Cleo. 

I sighed and rolled over to her and put my arm around her.
